Roxie nodded "Well start forging traps right away." She said with a nod "Just be careful." Roxie said before she headed off.

Sage nodded and shooed Roxie away before walking somewhere he was sure nobody could hear him to call Max. It was late, but she would probably still be up, if he knew her, and she'd want to know what was going on. He sat down heavily in the grass with a weary sigh and put the phone to his ear, hoping he answered.

Maxine was with Charlie when she got the phone call she ran as quick as she could to grab the phone nearly missing his call "S-Sage?" She asked hoping she'd caught him as Charlie squirmed in her arms and reached for the phone as she babbled.

Sage grunted a hello. "We know what we're gonna do about this whole war thing...I'll be gone for about three or four days. The third day, and forth day if I'm not home, don't leave the house alright?" He hated to be so blunt about it, but there was really no other way.

|
|
|
Maxine gave a small nod "Okay..." She said "I wish I could help... I know taking care of Charlie is the most important thing... But I wish I could help you too..." She admitted before she gave a sigh "I'll stay home... I'm gonna go to the store tomorrow and grab whatever we're low on... Do you think that'll be okay?" She asked.

Sage thought for a second and then nodded. "That's fine. Today and tomorrow are safe enough. Not after that until I say it's ok though " He wished he could be with them but he couldn't.

Maxine gave a small nod "Okay..." She said gently giving a sigh "After this do you think it'll be over...?" She asked him "At least for a little bit...?" She asked "It seems like since you brought me back the demon half of our lives has taken over..." She said lowering her gaze "I just want them to leave us alone..." She murmured.

Sage sighed. "I hope so. Taking them out gives us that assurance at least." He hoped that it would be over after one battle, but he doubted it would be that easy...but he wanted max and charlie to be safe, and he wanted time with them. He could hope for a quick war

Max gave a small sigh "I hope so too..." She murmured softly "I feel like it's all my fault... If you hadn't seen me... If you hadn't saved my life that day this wouldn't be happening right now..." She told him softly. She really did feel it was her fault... She hated to think about it but what if they'd never met? None of this would be happening... She wasn't thinking of all the good that's come out of it... She couldn't not with everything that was happening.

Sage sighed. "I don't know Max...I don't think this is because of us. If we hadn't met, this would still be happening, only I'd hate the person making me fight for him more than the enemy. I probably would have gotten myself killed out there." He wished he could see her, wrap his arms around her...comfort her. But all he could do was talk over a phone and hope his words were slightly comforting, though he wasn't the best at it. "This war would have come wether we'd gotten together or not."
