Mari watched her mother, who was wondering around the living room, gently rocking the baby in her arms. "Oh, she's just gorgeous," she chirped happily as she looked over at the young couple. They both looked tired, which she could absolutely imagine. They probably had been up loads through the last few night. "Isn't she?" Mari replied softly, following the child as she was moving about. She looked over at her husband, who really looked like he was struggling to stay awake... she'd been sleeping any moment she could, whereas he'd been running around looking around after her... and the guilt had suddenly hit her. She moved to gently guide his head to her shoulder, really just wanting him to rest. "She pretty quiet too... the way Silas was," she added lightly.

Sage hummed happily and smiled softly as he watched the baby interact with Edith. She was looking up at the lady curiously, her big old eyes wide and curious. It was sweet, really. He did hope she'd end up with Maris eyes...Maris were absolutely beautiful, and he did want one of their kiddos to look like her a bit. He nodded happily in response to her comments, letting himself sag against her once she practically told him to relax a bit. He nodded in response to her other comment, though his eyes were already fluttering shut. He did try not to, but he ended up passing out on his wife's shoulder rather quickly.

Mari glanced over at Sage when he kind of relaxed against her, but was watching her baby carefully. It was just her mother, and she was glad that the woman was happy, but she was still in a bit of an hormonal, overprotective state. She wouldn't do anything, and the baby was absolutely fine, but she was still a bit cautious. "She's little, isn't she?" The older woman hummed lightly as she looked at the little girls eyes, which were starting to resemble her mothers... only, slightly darker. Mari smiled and nodded, stroking the side of Sages head as she spoke. "She is tiny. I thought Silas was small but... I think she's smaller the doctor says she ways around four pounds. Or, she did when she was first born," Mari noted with a happy sounding hum. After a little while, the woman handed the child back to her, and asked her to say goodbye to Sage for her before padding off. The baby cooed in a way that Mari had come to understand as her being hungry, so quickly fed her before rocking her back to sleep. Silas was intent on the small human, but kind of kept his distance as he leanded against his dad, looking sort of tired... well, it was late now, anyway. He soon drifted off to sleep, as did his sister, who by now was resting on her chest. Mari kind of moved to get comfortable against Sage, and, despite fighting it, she soon drifted off to sleep too.

Sage was pretty much out for the rest of the night, though when he woke up early the next morning, and noticed that they were all sort of clumped together up on the couch, he chuckled lightly and made the move to put Silas and Lizzie in their beds and then scooping Mari up and settling her in their own bed before curling into her again himself. He hadn't woken any of them up, so hopefully they all stayed asleep for a little while longer. He stayed curled up against Mari for a while, but eventually got up to go make some breakfast...he'd gone to sleep early the night before. He did feel much better...and Mari had just given him another wonderful baby, so he didn't mind making some breakfast in bed for her.

Mari stayed asleep for... a whole. She did feel the slight weight that was Lizzie on her chest move, but soon enough settled back down when she felt the warmth of a blanket run over her. She woke up a good few hours later, though, in bed, but Sage was missing... he was probably sorting the horses out. Or staring at the baby or... something. She wasn't sure. She settled back down after a little bit, though, after getting comfortable. She was happy... very happy, actually. The rest had certainly done her some good.

Sage had gotten something nice together and then pattered into the room happily. He'd already taken care of the horses too, so now he had the day to spend with his family, which was nice. Anthony had taken good care of the mares, which he definitely appreciated. "Morning, babe," he hummed lightly, moving to press a light kiss to Maris lips when he neared her. She was awake, just resting, which was nice. He didn't want to wake her up at all. "breakfast," he added happily, moving to hand her the tray once she opened her eyes.

Mari gave a small hum when she felt the light kiss to her lips. She wasn't expecting it, but it was a very sweet gesture. "Hey," she whispered to him with a small smile as he kind of handed her the food. "Thank you hun," she murmured softly as she sat up a little bit. She didn't know what she expected, but breakfast in bed was... wonderful, really wonderful. "This is wonderful," she chirped happily before cocking her head at him. "We're the horses all good?" She asked happily.

Sage nodded happily and moved to crawl back up on the bed and relax next to her as she ate. "Good," he hummed lightly. Then he chuckled when she mentioned the horses. "They're fine," he hummed lightly. "And it looks like Snowball is going to throw us a foal in the next few months or so," he chirped happily. He'd thought she seemed pregnant before for a while, but she was definitely much more...round than when they'd left her to go to the doctors.

Mari cocked her head at him when he crawled over towards her, a light chuckle escaping her when he mentioned the mare. "Poor girl," she mused lightly. She looked over at Sage with a very serious look on his face. "Just so you know, we're never have sex again. Ever. Refuse to let you put another one of these babies in me," she scoffed teasingly as she finished off her breakfast surprisingly quickly... it was also surprisingly good. She soften forgot that Sage could cook, but he was really, really good in the kitchen. He was good at a lot of things, actually.

Sage chuckled lightly at her comment about the mare. "Hopefully it all continues to go well," he hummed. Then he wrinkled his nose slightly and chuckled. "There's ways to do that and avoid children," he pointed out in an amused manner. He knew she wasn't really serious, but if she didn't want another child, there were ways they could enjoy themselves while still not getting her pregnant. He took her dirty dishes from her and set them on the side table before curling up again happily.
