Sage just sort of chuckled in response to her comment, pecking her back and then wandering back along the road with her, quite glad everything had gone well. He was also quite glad to flop down on the bed next to Mari when she patted the covers, having changed into cozy pajamas. He let out a breath once he'd settled down, curling into Mari happily, letting his hair sort of just flop around since he didn't feel like putting it up right then....he just wanted to cuddle up and sleep.

Mari felt a small smile cross her face after a moment and moved to run her fingers softly though his hair, moving to brush it behind his ears and out of his face. She was so lucky to have him. She wasn't sure how she got so lucky, but she was. She moved to press a light kiss to his forehead before resting her head lightly on his.

Sage sort of just hummed happily when he felt her moving his hair around and smiled softly in response to her peck. He curled up against her a bit more,another huff of air coming from his nose. He really did love the woman....and he was just so, so happy to be able to have this sort of thing to do with her. And spoil her a bit. He had sort of started to drift off by the time the thought crossed his mind, but that was ok.....it was time to go to bed, and even if she stayed up for a bit he had a feeling she'd just want to cuddle anyway. So he let himself slip off happily.

Mari let a small smile cross her face when he curled in, and sort of closed her eyes as her fingers ran gently through this hair and the back of his neck. He was so calm when he rested like this, and even to this day she was in awe of it. Him, she supposed. He'd been though so much, and she knew that, so even just the idea of him going out of his way to do something like this... well, it was wonderful. To take her somewhere he didn't know, to streets he'd never been on... it really was amazing to her.

Sage was more than happy to let himself drift off....he could feel her hands running along his skin on the back of his neck, the other running along his back lightly, and it was nice. Really nice. He just liked being with her, he supposed.....she was still so forgiving and kind to him, and he still wasn't super sure why. But he wasn't going to argue at all. He woke up later the next day, curled up against her still. Her hand was still entwined in his hair, which sort of brought a lazy smile to his face. He just snuggled in deeper, though, sighing softly. He was just glad to be here with her he supposed.

Mari hummed gently as she slipped off... the night was cool and quiet and honestly she was just so happy with how comfortable everything was. A soft breath escaped her as she looked at the time, then remembered where she was and quickly moved to curl up a hid tighter, remembering that she didn't actually have to be anywhere. She sighed and moved to press a light kiss to his forehead before she settled down again, just happy to relax for a while.

Sage had sort of just hummed lightly when he felt her curl in a bit tighter, but other than that didn't move or talk. They didn't have to get up, so he wasn't moving. It was always nice to just cuddle up, and the bed was so comfortable and she was so warm. He sort of just drifted in and out of that half asleep stage for a while after that, honestly just happy to lay around for a while. It seemed to be the same story every night.....but that was ok. There was no reason to not lay around while they had the chance. He did wonder if the kids were having as much fun as they were...but that was a brief thought.

The woman sort of just rested after a moment, just enjoying settling down for a while... the first time in a while. It had been a couple of days by now, but they still had a bit left, and she wanted to make the most of it. About another half hour, the girl sighed and went to press a light kiss to his lips, then gave a small sigh. "Morning," she whispered softly as she moved to settle down next to him again.

Sage was happy to just lay there for a while, then gave her a light grin and pecked her lips again in response to her kiss and greeting. "morning babe," he hummed, voice crackly as it always was in the morning. He still found it funny that the woman seemed to find it attractive....because it really sounded like he had gravel in his voice box. At least, that was the amusing thought that came to mind. But whatever....he supposed he was just glad she liked it. That she liked him.

The woman shook her head and gave a small hum when he kissed her again, a small smile picking up the corner of her lips after a moment. She sort of slid under the covers to tuck her nose under his chin, and sort of pecked the soft of his neck once she'd settled down. It was just nice to be enveloped in his warmth, and his comforting scent, and the way his arms had curled around her... it was just nice, and that was the only way she could really explain it. His soft but tired voice made her stonach turn softly, in a way she couldn't explain, but one she certainly wasn't going to complain about, either.
