Sage sort of just grinned over at her as they sat down, just more than happy to watch her as she gazed around happily. It was just nice to see her happy like this. So he just settled down against the corner and watched her happily. They'd ordered food soon enough, and by then he was content to just continue to watch her look around at everything. It was a nice place, and he'd looked around quite a bit himself, too. But watching her was just better. It felt nice to spoil her a bit.

Mari grinned softly to him after a moment before moving to peck his cheek. "This is lovely!" She chirped happily before moving to peck his lips with a small chcuhle. It really was nice, too... she'd never been anywhere like it. Somewhere civil, at least. It wasn't super fancy, but definitely nicer than wherever she'd worked on the past. It didn't take too long for menus to be passed around to them, and she picked out some sort of salmon while she waited for the waiter to come back.

Sage chuckled slightly and nodded with a light hum. "I thought you'd enjoy it," he mused. "And there's plenty of ships and stuff around of you decided you wanted to take a look around," he added. It really was a nice little place.... He felt rather comfortable there, even with the crowd inside it. It wasn't like the tavern at all.... And the other people eating were civil and weren't to loud, which was nice. He supposed it was rather silly for someone his age to still be so jumpy about crowds and loud noises, but he couldn't help that much. And Mari didn't care, so he tried to look past it.

Mari looked over at him with a small hum. "I'd love that," she chirped happily before looking around the place. It was really nice... she was just happy, she supposed. This was all so wonderful. And, she really was just so lucky that Sage would do this sort of thing for her. She knew he didn't really like any of this. The whole going out, where there was lost of people, but that was fine, she didn't mind... if he was willing to take her out for dinner, then she could only be happy. Sage sort of gave her a grin and nodded. In all reality, he was enjoying himself quite a bit. He'd wanted to go shopping and bring something back for Edith and the doctor, and the kids too of course. And he had an idea for a painting for the house too, using sand from the beach in the paint....but that was an idea for later. Either way, he was glad to have a night put with her, especially since she seemed to enjoy it so much. It was nice, it really was. "That's fine with me," he chirped in repsonse to her comment, reaching to grab his plate when their food arrived.

Mari looked over at him happily, the girl really just happy to see him out and out, it didn't happen too much. He didn't like being out, she knew that, so the fact that he was there with her at all was absolutely wonderful. It wasn't too busy here... which was nice, too. She grinned to the waiter when they gave them their food, just looking so pleased to get some good food.

Sage chuckled slightly when he noticed the girl's face as the waiter wandered over with their food. No doubt she was hungry by then....he was hungry, and he didn't exactly have the best appetite. They'd had an early lunch though, and not a huge breakfast, so it made sense that theyw were ready to eat by now. He dug in happily once the waited had left, and the food was definitely as good as the reviews had said. He enjoyed it, he really did....it was a rather cozy little place, and Mari was quiet while she ate for the most part, which meant she liked the food quote a bit too. So it was rather nice.

Mari ate happily for a while before finishing up... it didn't take long, she'd managed to eat pretty quickly considering it was so good. She looked over at him after a moment before moving to grab themselves some drinks to take away. "Come on babe. I want to lol around," she giggled happily, deciding that she'd much rather look around than sit here all night... or at least find something more interesting to do.

Sage was more than happy to eat in silence and just look around the place. Though, he was done eating soon enough, and took the drink Mari handed him before scooting out of the booth after her with a slight chuckle. "I'm coming, I'm coming....hold your horses," he mused lightly. "my old man bones take a second to get used to the idea of getting up," he half joked as he rose with a slight grunt. He followed her out, arm in hers happily though, after a moment or so. It would be a nice evening, he was sure of it. It had started out so good, it couldn't get bad. The girl pouted at him playfully to him before sort of pulling him up. "Nope, your old bones need to keep up," she chuckled to him happily. She just wanted to look about a little bit more... get used to the place. It was their anniversary. It was a quiet one, but a good one so far. And to look around a bit while it was dark would be absolutely wonderful... the lights also made the place look even better.
