The woman gave a small smile before moving to peck his nose again after a moment or two. "Really? Forever? Oh, Sage I don't know if I can..." she mused gently to the boy before moving to kiss his lips playfully. "I don't know if I'd last forever and ever," she mused. Though when he mentioned the time, she cocked her head before letting out a heavy breath, "I suppose," she groaned, though she didn't want to leave... it was just so nice here. But she did love the kids more than anything. "Come on. Let's get dressed," she huffed softly.

Sage chuckled lighand gave the girl an amused grin, knowing full well she was more than happy to spend time with him. "Well, if there is something after death you won't have a choice," he chirped. "And if there's nothing after death then this is forever and you're stuck with me," he added with a sort of giggle. Of course, he did have his doubts that if there was anything after death he'd go the same place as the rest of the people he loved....but he tried not to dwell too much on that. He nodded when she said they should go get dressed, pecking her cheek once more before moving to grab clothes and then shove the pajamas in the suitcase haphazardly.

The woman sort of shook her head at him before giving him a little squeeze. "So either way I'm stuck with you..?" She mused gently pecking his lips again before crawling out of bed and getting ready to go... the journey back should be almost as good as the holiday... only, they had a whole bunch of things they couldn't love any more at the end of it. She made sure everything was neatly folded on the suitcase, and gave a small hum. "All ready?" She asked happily.

Sage sort of chuckled and Gabe her his normal crooked grin, nodding happily. "Yep," he chirped. "Lucky you!" He sort of shoved everything down and into the bag, then waited when Mari insisted of folding them up nicely. Personally, he found it to be less work to just shove everything in there and smoosh it all closed, but if she wanted it to look pretty when she opened it later or whatever, he didn't really mind her doing it all that much. He nodded lightly in response to her comment, scooping the larger bags up and hauling them out to the front porch, where he set them down as he caught chaos and hooked him up to the wagon. Then he moved to set all the bags in the back of the wagon before moving to give chaos some love while he waited for Mari, since she was looking the house over to make sure nothing was left behind. They were on their way soon enough though, the stallion trotting along happily, ears pricked and eyes bright as he looked around as he went.

The woman short of shook her head after a moment and moved to get everything ready. She helped to load everything up into the cart... once again, they got their early so that they had time to get Chaos boarded, along with all their things. She just wanted to sleep now... but maybe that night they could go out and see some of the entertainment. She knew Sage didn't like crowds but... it would be nice, right? She didn't know. Soon enough though, they'd made it back to a little cabin, where they'd be staying on the trip back. She dumped their bags and sort of flopped down on the bed with a heavy huff of air.

Sage was glad to see the stallions high spirits as he moved along, though he did watch the stable hand try to deal with the rather excited horse with a somewhat sorry and admittedly worried look. He didn't seem to be doing a great job of corralling the animal. Oh well ..once they'd rounded the bend he couldn't see anything more, so he scooped their bags up and wandered over to their room, setting things down and then flopping down by Mari with a chuckle. "We just woke up, babe," he teased gently.

The woman pouted at him after a moment and shook her head. "I know but there's nothing to do until tonight," she hummed softly before sort rolling over so that she was leaning on him a little. "Which reminds me, will you please come out to watch some of the entertainment with me?" She asked softly. "I know you don't like being crowded but I don't really want to be alone," she mused gently.

Sage chuckled lightly and shrugged in response to her comment, pecking her head gently. He didn't mind laying around though, and she knew that. He gave her a mock gasp at her comment, though, humming "you mean I'm not the only entertainment you need," he asked in mock offense before giggling at his own jokes before pecking her cheek and nodding. "That's fine," he hummed. He was, admittedly, somewhat curious about it anyway.....and he didn't mind going out for a while. "We need to get ice cream from that cart though," he added with a chirp.

The woman sort of shook her head before pouting at him. "Well, I don't know what to say babe. I just need to find entertainment from things that aren't you," she hummed gently to him before pecking his lips. "You're getting boring," she whispered playfully to him. She then gave a big grin and a nod. "We definitely need to do that," she agreed with a chuckle.

Sage sort of just chuckled lightly in response to her comment, giving her a grin. "Well I'll just go live in the barn then, since the horses at least appreciate me," he teased her lightly before nodding in agreement to her last comment. He'd been eyeballing the ice cream on their way down to the vacation home, but they hadn't been up when it was open. They would be this time though, so it worked out fine. "It does sound good," he mused in thought, giving Mari another grin. "How would you suggest I be less boring then," he mused. "Get up and dance a jig on the bed at two am," he joked lightly.
