The woman gave a small huff of air when they finally got back to bed, and she quickly cuddled back up and passed out again. Well, she supposed, at least he'd woken her up. At least he trusted her enough to ask for help. She wondered why he'd always been so averse to her help. He knew she only wanted the best for him, and she knew she could be annoying about it at times but... he was letting her help. Even the small things, like getting up for the bathroom. He'd be fine to do that sort of thing in a day or two, once he'd strengthened up, she was sure of that.

Sage had passed out again rather quickly, waking up in another couple of hours. He would've laid around for a while longer, exept now he was....really hungry. He had a littl ebit of salad left from the ngiht before, so he nibbled at that but in all honestly it didn't fill him up much. It took the edge off though, and since Mari wasn't in the room anymore, it would have to do for now until they could get dinner in. He sat there for a few minutes before huffing out a breath and moving to grab a oencil and piece of paper off the table to sketch out the kids, trying to distract himself until Mari returned.

Mari flashed Sage a small smile to Sage when she wandered into the room. She sort of cocked her head at him after a moment, looking at whatever he was drawing. It hadn't really taken shape yet, though. She gave a small hum to him before pecking his cheek. "Want anything," she hummed softly to him. "A drink? Some snacks?" She asked him softly, sort of fiddling with his hair as she sat with him.

Sage glanced over at mari when sge wandered into the room and greeted her happily before nodding when she asked if he wanted anything. "Food," he mused. "I'm realizing I haven't eaten yet," he chuckled lightly, shaking his head. "Something simple and quick," he added with a sheepish grin. "I finished off the salad so I'm ok for now but hurry" he sort of asked, not wanting to be demanding or anything but....he was really hungry by then, even after the rest of the salad. "And probably some water," he added after a moment. He hadn't been drinking much either, because he'd had an IV in his arm so he hadn't needed to...but now that it had been taken out he supposed he would have to drink something too. He'd leaned into her touch though, glad to be sitting with her even if it was delaying his meal a few minutes.

The woman furrowed her brows at him a little when he told her to hurry, but gave a small chuckle before pecking his cheek. "Alright, alright. I'll be five minutes," she promised softly to him. She was sort of relieved he was hungry... he never normally ate much, but it sounded like he was ready for a proper meal, which was good. She wandered down to the kitchen, making up some egg and toast and grabbed some extra bits and bobs for him to snack on throughout the day. She wandered over to the room before handing him the plate. "There you go. I hurried for you," she mused lightly to him, placing the snacks and a glass of water on the bedside table.

Sage was rather glad she hadn't seemed anything but glad he was up for an actual meal, and nodded happily when she wandered off. He'd gone back to drawing, though he hadn't gotten much past the basic sketch of the two kids before mari had come back with food. He set the drawing down, reaching for the plate eagerly, humming a thanks and pecking mari's cheek lightly before starting to eat. He eyes the snacks she then set down, planning out when he'd want to eat what. Save the best for last, sort of thing. Then he chided himself for thinking of rationing it to have it for longer....she'd get more if he wanted more, this wasn't all they had. It wasn't the streets anymore. He still thoguht that way sometimes....but soon enough he'd shrugged it off and just continued eatign happily.

The girl gave a small chuckle when he took the plate, and sort of flopped down next to him. She gave a small hum, pecking his cheek when he got comfortable. "I was thinking we head of home this afternoon," she started, before noticing the man had an empty plate on his lap. "Were you really that hungry?" She asked him with a slight chuckle. It was a good thing. It meant he was healing. You needed more energy to heal... and he was trying to get that. It was definitely a good thing.

Sage nodded lightly in response to the girl's comment about heading home, then cocked his head slightly. "Who'll take the tack off and settle chaos and stuff," he asked. If Anthony was there, he could do it, but he wasn't sure how much she'd told her family. Though, at her next question he grinned sheepishly and nodded, looking down at the empty plate. "I guess so," he mused. "But I also haven't eaten anything but salad for the past few days since I've been sleeping so much," he admitted with a shrug. "I figure I was bound to get this hungry eventually," he noted with a chuckle.

The woman sort of rolled her eyes at him, taking his now empty plate off him. "Babe, I've been married to you for about eight years now. I can take the tack off the horse," she mused lightly to him. "If not, Anthony or Xander will probably be there. She sort of moved to lay down with a small huff of air. "I brought some snacks for you anyway. If you get hungry again just peck at them," she mused gently to him. She sort of looked over his shoulder, just resting her head just on his shoulder. "I didn't expect you to get this hungry," she mused gently to him.

Sage sort of gave the girl a sheepish grin when she said she would take care of Chaos. He'd been doing that a lot recently...the whole sheepish grin thing. No doubt the medicine was playing a role in that in the fact that his brain was slower than usual and he was always just sort of groggy. What did you tell them anyway," he asked curiously. "I don't care, i'm just curious," he added with a shrug. Though, when she mentioned snacks, he nodded with a chuckle. "I noticed," he mused. "I was hungry enough to think about how I wanted to ration them all out each day," he snorted, rather amused about it now. "me either," he admitted when she noted she didn't think he'd get this hungry. "It was just an all of a sudden thing I guess," he added lightly, leaning against her happily.
