Maverick Saw Makena come out of her class and stopped her "alright, enough of this" he scowled "something on your mind is upsetting you,and I would like to know why you feel the need to hide it from me, why my friend is involved and what it is" Mav continued "and dont think you can wriggle out of this so easily,and dont try lie Ill figure out the truth at some point if you do" he added, he had no intention of letting her get away with lying

Makena bit her lip as she looked up at Maverick. She knew she wouldn't get away this time.. With a hesitant stare, she let it all out. "Last night I stayed at the party, and I had a little drink, and then they were playing spin the bottle. Rachel insisted I played, and I thought it wouldn't be that bad, then I got to me, and I spun, and it landed on..." She quickly sputtered, her breath shakey at as she stopped herself. Her eyes teared up, and she leaned into Maverick, trying to seek comfort instead of an angry lecture.

Maverick stopped for a few seconds and put an arm around her "Spin the bottle, huh? Correct me of im wrong but you played this after I told you I liked you? After I had to go because otherwise I would have gotten beat by my father, which mind you I still did because I stayed for you..i kissed you goodbye thinking you might actually like me too..but then you go and kiss my friend?" he asked and pushed her away with his arm "and you still have the nerve to seek comfort from me? " his voice was cold, not angry, just dead calm with an icy look clouding his face

Makena looked down, her face turning bright red. "I-I'm sorry.." She muttered, a knot forming in her throat. She couldn't meet his gaze, so she just gazed at her feet, the regret rising up in her like anger. "I wasn't thinking, you know how people get when they've been drinking.. I do like you, I really do. It was a mistake, I'm sorry." Tears streamed down her face, burning her eyes as her breath became shakey, and weary.

Maverick sighed, noticing her breathing he frowned, he didnt want to cause problems for her by turning this into something to panic over "get yourself to the nurse,when you're feeling less out of breath we can continue this conversation, for now I think its time I find Jhon" and with that he just turned to leave, he didnt want to see her cry any more than he had to, but he didnt feel bad, it had been her decision now she would have to deal with the consequences, he wasnt sure how severe they would be though,depends on how things went with his friend

Makena watched as Maverick walked away, just standing there for a few seconds before turning to go to the girls bathroom. She let out a deep sigh, trying to calm herself down. She didn't wanna go to the nurse, cause then she'd have to say what caused her breathing to get that intense, and just embarrass herself even more than she needed in one day. Her eyes welled up with tears once again, and she hid her face in her knees, not wanting to do anything else that whole entire day except sit there and regret her decisions. But, she knew she had to face Maverick again that day, and she wasn't looking forward to it.

Maverick walked up to Jhon and grabbed him by the collar of his shirt "you've got ten seconds to give me a good reason not to punch you right now" he said and Jhon knew he had found out, oh shit "Mav! I swear I didnt want to but they wouldnt let me or Makena go unless we did it and I promise it wasnt even a real kiss!" he yelped trying to squirm free knowing that wouldn't work "and plus you know I would never have an interest in any girl" he said that a lot more quietly and Mav let go "alright..I hope you arent lying to me Jhon" he said crossing his arms "I swear on my life Mav i wouldnt do this to you" he sighed, relief flooding him until Mav spoke again "but did Makena know that? Did she know it meant nothing" he asked and Jhon was quick to nod "yes, I told her it didnt"

Makena finally stood as the 15 minute bell rang, and took a steady deep breath. As much as she wanted to hide in the bathroom till the end of the day, she couldn't, or her mother would be contacted, and Makena definitely didn't want her sister, or parents, finding out about all this. That would only end in a grounding, and her sister lecturing her all year long.

Maverick nodded "alright,fine,Im trusting you" he said and John nodded "now,why dont you go find Makena to ask her..? I only know my side and she should be able to clear up a lot more" and with that his friend ran off,Mav had been planning on talking to Makena anyway,not for the reason John suggested but still, so he turned around and started walking down the halls to find her
