Hope you don't mind, I'm going to put down the time and season just for the sake of keeping us on the same page. You don't have to do the same) Month: Mid-August | Time: Late afternoon | Setting: Rolling Meadow Winter spent the majority of her day in leisure, enjoying every bite of the lush grass she was often deprived of. She had to keep herself from eating too much however, knowing that colic was a real threat. Even so, she snagged every flowering dandelion in sight. The ones with seeds she stopped to blow with a huff of her nose, enjoying how the little seeds exploded. The little things filled her with amazing joy. Finally she was surrounded by life in a peaceful world. Her laughter bubbled through the air as she traveled, trotting briskly until she found an old mulberry tree. She nibbled at the leaves and few late season berries, enjoying the sweetness. After this little snack, she nestled herself neatly under the tree, small enough to be hidden by the tall, golden grass that hugged her. She looked again at the mountains that still didn't want to leave her view. Someday they would be only a memory, one that she would do her best to forget.

A beautil mixture of red and orange and even a slight hint of purple begun to take over the whole sky the sun had began to set behind the mountains for soon it would be dark.
Hazel hues narrowed as he stood tall on a nearby hill overlooking a pale mare that seemed to be in such awful condition, the apricot stallion wondered himself why the reaper of the forest hadn't taken her soul yet, she looked like death. He was quiet and kept out of view, audits pinned as he studied her every move, he wanted her off gaurd before he charged at her, that's how he caught his prisoners, sly and quiet.
As it got darker, and the moon had come out to play, Reese had made his way into the thick of the forest that reste near by... his hazel hues never leaving her skinny fragile body, nostrils softly blew as he waited until she settled herself down under a tree and with a smudge look on his face and a tough acting huff to himself, he slowly worked his way forward, dark hues narrowed as he quickly snaked a rough nip towards her rump to get her attention, he wanted to see the fear in her eyes.
"Tag you are IT!" his voice was deep and unsettling as he spat the vemon like words into the air that surrounded them. The tall stallion soon stepped out strong from the dark of the woods into the open feild which she thought she was safe in. His think plumage swished back and forth like an angry serpent, his hues was dark and cold as he set them upon her frightened hues, audits pinned as he let out a clack of his teeth, warm breathe blew from his nostrils, the moonlight drawning the bright orange colors from his smokey black pelt like a beautiful glow, his skull looking features on his frame showing more than ever at dark. It was like an ungodly feeling that drifted in the air, as the quiet of the dark surrounded them. Edited at December 14, 2021 09:09 PM by Whispering Wood Barn

Month: Mid-August | Time: Night | Setting: Rolling Meadow | Weather: Clear with no clouds Winter had snuggled herself restfully into the tall grasses, kept in good company by the mulberry tree. She smiled up at it, as though they were old friends. Together they watched the sunset- an array of glorious color. It was brilliant. She rested her pink muzzle on her makeshift bed, enjoying how the stands of grass fingered the hairs that feathered off her nose. She closed her eyes in peace before realizing just how big of a mistake she made. And that realization came in the form of a brisk pain, a feeling that she was used to- unforgiving, piercing teeth. If she had been healthier, it would not have been enough to break skin. But break skin it did, and the moment she felt the blood chimera her amber coat, she spooked wildly. She stood and spun all at once, standing with the whites of her eyes flaring and her tail pinned. Little hairs clung to the blood that was already dripping down her side- contrasing with her coat made nearly blue by the moonlight. But the sight that she frightened her the most was the stallion that she faced. He stood over her like a storm, dark, powerful, and unafraid. He looked like a goul, like a haunted spirit come alive. His coat was unlike any she had seen and the moon only helped in making it look all the more unearthly. It really was like stormclouds battling a sunset, like shadow devouring light. And the eerie white marking on his face paired with the savage look in his eyes was enough to make her stumble backward. She knew her best chance was to run, but at the same time she felt as though she couldn't escape whatever creature was standing over her. There was only one way she stood a chance, and that was if he had no idea who she was. "I'm sorry... I'm only passing though. If this is your land I truly didn't mean to trespass. Forgive me?" She didn't even try to sound unafraid, willing enough to beleive that the eerie stallion in front of her could probobly smell fear.

Seeing the young mare bust into a panic and frozen like a deer in headlights, he couldn't help but smirk with a deep laugh, the smell of blood swafted the air as his nostrils flared to take in the scent, hazel hues drifted seeing the blood trickle down her pale dirty pelt. He was hoping for a chase but, this mare stood her ground even though her demenor read nervously scared, he rose a brow in disappointment as he softly tsked "tsk tsk tsk" her with a shake of his frame as he stepped closer and closer to the smaller mare trying to make her feel even smaller. He lowered his frame for a moment to match her level as his warm breathe seemed to circle her slender frame. For it seemed, she had not heard of him ether, she didn't tremble in fear as others and that sorta rubbed him the wrong way. "Hump" he puttered deeply before standing tall once more. "Foolish mare, I'm here for your bounty. I got two days left to return you, now let's get doing!" he harshly hissed, he lashed out another nip at her neck and when a swift push of his frame, he knocked her shoulder pushing her forward, his tail thrashing at his side. Nothing but, feirce determination was written all over his face, nothing but the duties of his job overtook him, it was like anything that was good in him disappeared forever. Month: Mid-August | Time: Night | Setting: Rolling Meadow | Weather: Clear with no clouds Winter did her best not to shiver, but her bony body quivered with a fear that she couldn't quite master. She had never been able to master it. And now, with this stallion towering over her, hissing at her with his words as much as his eyes, she cowered. That was the best thing she could do to defend herself. "Bounty?" She echoed, having barely fliched at the bite mark he left throbbing at her neck. She ought to have run... but after taking a long look at this dark stallion, she thought better of it. "Cray came to you and asked you to find me?" She summoned a little more courage, all the while distancing herself from him. Just enough that he couldn't stretch out his neck and bite at her again, "What did he say he would trade me for?" She glanced toward the mountains that now looked like a distant fog, barely visible. The little creme mare didn't even scowl, didn't even grimace, didn't even close her eyes. She had known... deep down... that she couldn't escape.

The stallion was growing tired of this mare already, never had he ever had such a prisoner ask so many questions, he wondered why she didn't run but, he thought that maybe she wasn't fit to run which to him, played well in his cards.
Audits pinned as there was space between them yet, he didn't take upon himself to waste his energy once again, he rolled his dark hues before staring her down. "I don't talk buiness with the convict. It doesn't matter who hired me, just that I get you back." his words blew out deep, he clearly was in no means to chit chat, he softly bared his teeth as his plumage swished impatently behind him with a stomp of his hoof. "Get Moving" he snapped with a motion of his frame telling her to go left. "Or I'll make you move" he warned with another blow of his muzzle, hues narrowed at her like a target as he took another powerful step towards her. Month: Mid-August | Time: Night | Setting: Rolling Meadow | Weather: Clear with no clouds Winter stared at this stallion, stared at the eerie white markings made faintly blue by the moonlight. His thick red forelock glimmered like a thin layer of blood. She resisted the sense in her that told her to obey him. But she fought it hard... and eventually she just closed her eyes and shook her head. She distanced herself a little more, not daring to look at him. Then, with a long breath, she laid herself back on the ground. Still, she refused to meet his eyes, as though those eyes would dissolve her courage in an instant, "Cray offered you his herd, didn't he? You don't have to say anything. I know he did," She took a deep breath and then cringed, preparing the for the consequences of what she was about to say next. "I know you," She breathed, "I've been surrounded by horses like my my entire life. And I'm not willing to let others suffer the way I have. So I'll go with you, but I have conditions. I want you to accept his herd as payment for bringing me back. And then I want you to let them all go free."

The stallion now could feel blood boiling through his veins, he could feel his heart beating faster and his pelt becoming hot. He hated hunting mares for this reason here, always thinking they could negotiate with him. He snorted a loud huff " You sure got some nerve wasting my time and my patience" with another stump of his hoof, he shook his hot headed frame, baring his teeth behind his closed muzzle, he watched as she plotted herself into the ground, he chuckled deeply "You got some beach-ball sizes lady nut$ thinking you are in a position to negotiate".
Her words echoed around in his head and he thought this was quiet amuzing. He began to swaft in a cirlce around her, his hooves and plaumge flatting the ground around her, his cold orbs danced all ove rher body "See. I have no need for a herd and I don't have to listen to a d@mn/darn thing you say." "You are nothing but a weak and fragile mare, just look at you" he snorted as he ran his muzzle over her spine. He soon came to a pause in front of her as he lowered his frame, where their muzzles were inches apart. "See... I don't have to bring you back alive." he evily smirked as he look down into her, searching for her soul. Audits pinned flat as he snatched the mare by her poll, his teeth bared into her as if his teeth were like ropes, he jerked his frame up roughly and tugging her to stand before he started to drag her forward, fighitng against her, baring his teeth harder.
