As Carl was longing his championship dressage horse Valenciago and thinking about the upcoming competition season with excitement, he noticed a horse truck pull up and a girl step out and begin to unload her horse.

Raven pulled up in her black pickup truck and four-horse trailer.

she finds a place to park and turns the truck off.

Raven had been driving for three hours, she had just left her old jumping barn, and Is now doing dressage.

Raven opened the truck door and stepped out.

then she went to the back of her trailer and got her horse Shadow.

Shadow is a black and white mare she uses a black halter and lead with a black blanket to keep her warm.

Carl immediately realised that Raven was very exhausted and halted Valenciago to see if he could help her in any way. Valenciago was very hot and impatient and, being a stallion, incredibly interested in Shadow as he could tell she was a mare.

Raven unloaded shadow and found her stall she saw Carl and gave him a small smile, then she left the barn and got the rest of shadows stuff she took off shadows halter and lead "welcome home shadow" she said softly to her horse

Carl returned Raven's smile and watched her unpack her things. It suddenly occurred to him that this was his new lesson! He was excited to be able to pass on his knowledge and expertise but noticed that she had brought a jumping saddle?! He took Valenciago to the cross ties and hosed him off, put his cooler on and went to talk to Raven all while Valenciago pranced around trying to get to Shadow.

raven got jumped scared when carl came up to her as she was not used to people talking to her "hi I'm raven how can I help you" she said shyly

"Hi there raven, sorry i didn't mean to frighten you. I just wanted to come and introduce myself. I'm Carl i own the yard and as i understand, i am going to be your coach for the next few months" he said kindly. "That horse over there, the one prancing around like a madman, is my horse Valenciago. I'm taking him to europe this competition season. And who is this beautiful little mare?" He asked

raven smiled at her mare "this would be shadow my pride and joy" she said as her horse stepped in front of her feeling her discomfort shadow also pins her ears at the stally

"Ooh sassy little one!" Chuckles Carl "And look at her markings! Absolutely stunning!" He says, smiling. He invites Raven over to Valenciago to say hello and Valenciago nickers and snorts in his excitement while pawing at the ground and stable door.
