This is me and only Champs rp. Please don't post, you may read along

The sun sat high in its throne over the world, shining It’s rays of light onto the earth. It warmed up the night washed ground, bringing life back to the sleeping plants. Everything began to wake up and celebrate a new day. The once silent ground, began to rumble like a storm moving in. The rumbling got louder and louder as a herd of horses ran over the hill and down into the valley. Multiple different colors blurred all together as they ran across the ground. At the front, a light colored stallion leads his herd as many mares and foals ran with him. The wind ruffled his mane as if the leaders of the past were with him, running alongside their herd.

They soon get to their location and they slow down to begin grazing along the land. The stallion, Chance, looked around to make sure everything was safe. The coast was clear and so he eased up. Although, what made him a little nervous... He peered over a steel hill to see a ranch down at the bottom... but that was miles off, but along flat land... it looked close, but wasn't. He snorts, he would move the herd in a couple days.

Mystery felt the sun spill it's warmth over the cold grass, frosted over with ice from the darkness the night before. Slowly horses in the pastures in and around her started waking up as did the barn with the stable hands bringing horses in from the chilly morning. The early morning wind kicked her mane and tail around causing her to shiver slightly, she looked up and the sun stared back in a yellow bright circle that sat high in the sky.

Being one of the last horses brought in that morning the barn was already filled with horses chewing and throwing around their buckets after finishing. Mystery flicked her ears up as the barn was loud with the morning feeding and she had sensitive ears causing her to eat and pin her ears at the same time, owners began to fill the aisles to check on their precious money makers. Stable hands rushed around the rub down the horses and make sure they are spotless for their rides, riders barked at them to go faster as they waited impatiently. She watched the hands roll their eyes with their backs to the owners of course or the Karen's would complain. She sighed again maybe it was because she lived in such a rich and high demand stable.

As he turned his body away from the edge, he flicked his ears and turned his head back around. He saw a couple of horses coming out, but had humans on their backs. "What the?" He snorts and walked closer to the edge. His hoof got a little too close and dirt was knocked loose and rolled down the hill. A mare came to his side and shoved him upwards with her head. The mare was his mother and even in her elderly age, she still had the reflexes of a youngin'.

"Careful love..." She snorts and nipped him as he puts his ears back.

"Mom, I'm fine..." He said and moved away. He didn't like seeing all the horses down at the bottom, made him nervous. Turning back to his herd, he walks over and grazes along with them.

An hour later her own owner arrived, Emily slipped her body inside Mystery's stall stepping toward her with a arm outstretched "Hey girly". Beings led to the cross ties was a regular thing and she relaxed as the heat lamp shone on her back, Emily made sure her back was warm before tacking her up, the saddle pad, half pad, and black jumping saddle were placed gently one her back. Emily mounted and gathered the reins in her experienced hands and they walked toward the meadow were everyone was on a trail ride.

Chance continued to graze and after a while, he picked his head back up and decided to check on the humans once again. Walking toward the edge, he sees some of them entering the forest ... which would soon lead to the valley. He laid his ears back and decided to go scout them out, make sure they wouldn't get to close to his herd. Chance looks down at the hill and sees some sturdy areas, he steps down but his mother neighs at him.

"Chance! NO! Don't go toward the humans, they may see you and take you." She said and trots towards him, but he jerks his head at her with ears back and lips pulled back in an aggressive manner. She immediately stops and backed up, shaking her head... she didn't want to lose her only living son. She had daughters, but they joined other herds, Chance took over after his father got to weak and was chased out.

Chance moved down the rocky hill side and soon sneaks into the woods. He was thankful for the Fall season as his pelt blended in better. He moved slowly through the woods and soon found the line of humans... He lowers his head and stuck to the high standing foliage.

She made sure they were in the back, being with other horses was not one of her favorite things. Mystery watched the other horses nip and play with eachother as thier owners fought to keep them in line trying not to disturb the morning trail ride, she flicked her ears back in annoyance at the younger horses arrogance and lack of thought for the rest of the barn.

She felt the atmosphere around her shift in panic, her head snapped up her muzzle striaght out making the bit push hard aganist the back of her mouth but she didn't care, everyone around her buzzed with fear and she didn't know why. The horses in the front shifted away from her right, she let her eyes drift to where they were spooking at and she saw a flash of something glide through the trees. Mystery snapped her ears at the movement but didnt let out any fear, she turned back to the herd of horses in front of her who were still panicing. Her best friend Ghost scooted next to her and in a low whisper asked "know why everyones so panicky?" Mystery opened her mouth to answer but then shut it and the lie felt bitter on her tongue as she spoke "Nope" she couldn't bear to look at him after her lie so she just looked forward and kept walking.

Chance smiles to himself as he sees the horses get a bit uneasy. He quickly crosses the path behind them all and rustles through the foliage. The leaves rattle and brush against each other. The stallion lowered his head to pick up a stick in his mouth. Looking, he then starts to hit the stick against trees to make that Thwack sound. He kept moving out of sight... He would do anything to keep his herd safe.

Meanwhile, his mother was gathering the herd and moving them a bit further from the hillside and more into the dense forest of the wild. In case Chance's little antics didn't work, at least the herd would be safe. He was just like his father, stubborn and territorial. All stallions were like that, but instead of running at the problem they usually ran from it... The bay mare snorts and hides herself among the vegetation

Someone spooked at the noise from the front of the line, it rippled down the line making everyone spook. Mystery stood there and she felt Emily slip out of the saddle to help, a horse barreled at her and she felt his impact tingle through her whole body, Mystery hit the muddy ground with force, the stirrup digging into her side. She struggled to get up with horses running around her, and the reins tangled in her legs but somehow she got to her feet.

She heard sounds around her, people yelling, horses hoofs hitting the ground with panic, the terror of the young riders, the older instructors trying to keep everyone Im control it buzzed in the air almost static in her ears. She stumbled away, slipping into the trees.

Chance then sees his plan working very well. He then climbs up a rocky hill and starts knocking down rocks with his hooves... he blocks the way to the valley with a pile of heavy boulders that fell. The landslide subsided and he knew his herd would be safe now. He climbed down the ledge and snorts at the group from the distance. Shaking his head, he then caught the glimpse of something moving in the corner of his eye. Staying in the foliage, he saw a mare stumble away from the group. Was she hurt?

Chance kept a wary eye on the group as he approached the lone mare. She had a thing on her back... and on her face... his ears pin down, she was a doci horse. Doci was the word for Non wild horses. Although, he noticed she wasn't ok and he didn't know what to do... as a stallion of a herd, he has the instinct to just run... but as a horse to horse, he wanted to help. He approached and grabbed the dangling tough vines hanging from her face and lead her away to a small watering hole so she regain her senses.
