Plot: (Slightly inspired by the Barbie: Mermadia plot XD) Character A is a fairy who has been chosen by her kingdom to find a sea-flower (or berry) that will cure the disease her fairy Queen is suffering from. In order to find the plant, she has to switch her fairy features for mermaid features. She drinks a tea from a special plant that will give do this, and is given a necklase strung with 14 black pearls that will turn white one by one, and she has until the last pearl turns white to get out of the water so she can drink the tea again and get her fairy features back. On her way to the mermaid kingdom, she encounters some trouble (maybe a shark-like creature) and is struggling because she's still trying to get used to her mermaid features. Here she meets Character B, who is a merman that comes from the kingdom she's swimming to. Together, they go in search of this cure. Maybe Character A falls in love and decides to stay in the water, or maybe she is unable to get out of the water for some reason and is forced to stay a mermaid(but isn't too distraught about it because she fell in love anyway, also this could open up for future plot ideas because maybe she becomes an emissary for that fairy kingdom). What's the age range? - Name: Tyler Aaron Carter - Height: 8 feet from bottom of tail to top of head, around 6'3 if he was a human. My point: taller then normal - Age: Looks 21-25 - Weight: 230 lbs (added for tail) - Appearance: Tyler has medium length black hair and steely black eyes. He has a short black beard, almost just looking like scruff, and a small black mustache that looks the same way. Tyler is tall and well muscled. His tail is jet black with a couple shining silver scales. He usually has a ice cold look in his eyes, though it can soften. Tyler is quite handsome, though he really doesn't care about that. He has a long scar that runs across his right cheek, then multiple scars lacing his torso and chest. His tail has long scars running down it also, possibly made by a sword. - Personality: Tyler is menacing, strong, tall, and he can be rude. He is very humorous and a big jokester. Tyler lightens up with people he cares about, which isn't many. He doesn't like other mermen or mermaids, and hates being around them. Tyler tends to swim in the deep, staying away from everyone, going beyond the underwater city limits. He is definetely an introvert. Tyler is very good at fighting, and very fast - Background: Tyler was born to mermaid/merman parents, who abandoned him when he was young. He lived on the streets of the underwater city and learned to fend for himself at a very young age. Tyler then abandoned the city and left, going to a small coral reef and making a house there... where no one has ever swam before. He is friends with most sharks and underwater sea creatures, and doesn't care about anything else. - Other: Anything you want me to add |

Name Raine Aeres Age Appearance 21-23 years Height 5'8 in fairy form (still on the smaller side for a fae female), 6'9 with a tail Weight 121 Ibs in fairy form, 143 in mermaid form Species Fairy/fae (originally) - turns into Mermaid Appearance Wavy chestnut coloured hair that falls to her waist, big light green eyes with a splash of freckles across her nose & cheeks. She has dimples, and features that make her face look bright and honest. She has light, radiant skin, and is slim with soft curves. Her wings resemble the Spicebush Swallowtail butterly's wings with more blue. Her tail will have a royal blue sheen. Personality Raine is very kind and generous with a soft heart. She has an extreme sense of loyalty that can be to her detriment. She is brave and daring, but sometimes it takes a while to steel herself for the step of courage. Can be playful. A good negotiator. Claustrophobic (not severe). Other (Background/profession/etc) Raine was found outside the palace in the rain, hence her name. She was taken in by the royal family as a child and is sort of like an adopted member in some ways, but although they raised her, they do not treat her like their other daughters. She is somewhat of a companion to one of the princesses, and does a lot of liaising for the royal family. |

Raine lifted the cup to her lips, the liquid dark under the dim light. The steam fanned her face as the cup tilted and she took the first sip. A shudder wracked her body at the first taste, her hair rising on end. Her eyes lifted to the King and the Queen lying deathly ill in the bed. They both watched her, as did the herbalist who sat next to her. Raine's hands shook under the immense pressure and she took another sip, and then another, until the cup was finished. "Go," the herbalist said, and Raine made her way to the door. She needed to get to the water before she was stranded on land in fish form. She rushed to the bottom of the cliffs, her feet slipping slightly on the loose stones coverin the path. Her wings. had stopped working almost immediataly. She scramled over the first few metres of rock as the first sign of changes set in. Immense pain hit her as the very cells in her body began to change themselves. It was like her neck was being sliced open on both sides as the gills that would allow her to breathe under water appeared, her lungs changeing with the new additions. She lifted a hand to touch them and her vision went wild with pain as the webbing between her fingers grew slightly and her legs faltered. She fell on the rocks, scraping her arms and hitting her left hip and shoulder. Only a few more metres to the water. She scrambled for purchase and lifted, dragging herself closer to the water. Her legs seized just as she climbed over the last rock, and she tumbled, her body catching on the shallow rock face beneath. The waves caught her and dragged her out and down before slamming her against the shallow rock face again. The pain of her legs changing to a tail blinded her for moments as she struggled in the churning water. She had to force her lower half to move, propell her forward so she oculd get to calmer water. When she was safer, she let herself take a few moments to let the pain lessen, to get the hang of breathing under water. Once she was more confident in her form, she steeled herself and faced the pain still wracking her body. She harnessed it and looked to the depths, using her new tail to propell herself forward. Raine swam until the water was dark and hesitated. Looking around she peered into the waters around her. Were those dark forms real, or just tricks of her mind still full of hurt? She stilled, her tail moving slowly, arms outstretched for balance because she was still unused to this form. Something moved in her periphery and she spun, and something else moved on her other side. Her skin tingled with the fear of prey being watched by a much bigger, much deadlier predator. Something slimy slid up against her back, and Raine took off. |

Tyler swam out of the tiny hut that he usually called home. A couple minature seahorses swam in a seaweed garden he had planted. Tyler observed them for a moment with a smile before stretching his long arms, wincing at the sharp pain. Ever since he had come out of battle the pain had been horrible... he didn't really know why, some kind of internal injury that didn't heal right. Tyler flicked his tail and swam over to the seaweed garden; he had to plant some more today. A couple otters swam past, chirping happily as they curled around Tyler. Tyler smiled, watching them as the otters darted towards the seaweed and grabbed a couple sea urchins, then swam towards the surface again. "Good hunting today." Tyler's deep voice rumbled through the water, making the animals stop their weaving. All the animals that lived in the seaweed peered over to sea Tyler. Some of them swam over happily, and the others that couldn't just stayed there. Tyler watched the animals for another moment before going to the tough job of planting more seaweed. "I'll make you a good home yet I will. With all these new animals and y'all having babies I need another patch." Tyler laughed, the pleasant sound echoing off the rocks nearby. - A couple hours later Tyler finished planting, sinking to the ground as exhaustion started to take over. A lone otter swam down, sniffing his face before curling up on his bare chest for a moment, then flicking it's wide tail and swimming towards the surface. Tyler let out a breath through his gills, staring at the glittering water far above. A Grouper caught his attention, the big fish sneaking up on a busy looking pufferfish. Tyler flicked his tail again and warned the pufferfish before glaring at the Grouper. "Johnny, how many times have I told you NOT to eat Lila? She is my special pufferfish, stay away." Tyler huffed, all but shoving the Grouper the other way. The big fish flicked it's tail in protest, swimming away. The pufferfish turned and nudged Tyler before slowly swimming towards some food. Tyler smiled slightly and went back to the cabin, going to his seaweed bed and laying in it to stare up at the ceiling. He was tired after all that work... but he really needed to do his rounds. No mermaid or merman knew about this secret cove except Tyler, and he was going to keep it that way. Tyler wrapped a belt of daggers around his waist and swam out, beating his strong tail as he swam through the water. He exited the cove through a small cave hole that barely fit him, swimming to the darker areas of the ocean. As Tyler flew along he saw a flitting little bright thing... a mermaid? All the way out here? The mermaids usually didn't come out here... they stayed in the city being pampered and preened. Tyler furrowed his brow, swimming towards the blue shape quickly. He did identify it as a mermaid for sure... and it was swimming away from the trench. "I hope she didn't make Chaos mad or she is going to have a heck of a time getting out of there alive." Tyler muttered, thinking about the giant dragon/octopus that lived in the depths. The technical name was a Larchan. They were enormous creatures that had a long snakelike body with a head shaped like a dragons. Somewhere in between 8 and 20 tentacles sprouted from it's sides. Tyler was pretty sure Chaos had 30... and he was very old and grumpy. Tyler was also sure that the only mermaid or merman Chaos had let live was... himself. He swam faster, seeing a long tentacle curling up from the bottom, ready to snatch the mermaid. "Hey Chaos old buddy let's not eat whoever this is today, calm youself." Tyler bellowed, knowing he was a little too far away to be heard very easily. He finally got to the mermaid, glancing at her before swimming further in. Tyler didn't know why he would protect some random mermaid... but no one was stupid enough to go by Chaos, so either she had mental problems or she didn't live around here. The tentacle whipped around in a fury before curling next to Tyler. He saw two glowing eyes appear in the darkness, sliding closer. "and why should I not eat her? I'm huuungryy..." Chaos hissed, the voice low, deep, and menacing. Tyler racked his brain for a reason why the monster shouldn't eat her... or himself. "Well I still haven't got the chance to ask why she was stupid enough to go by you." Tyler offered, his tail flicking with wariness. He knew the Larchan would eat him... it just hadn't yet because Tyler was funny and different. "Interesting way of putting it..." Chaos mused, his eyes narrowing to slits. |
