Name: Ryker Rivera

Age: Dead

Species: Dead Human

Sub-Species: Ghost

Gender: Male

Height: 6'2

Weight: Technically Weightless

Appearance: When Ryker was alive he was tall and well muscled, with a chisled body and a perfectly sculpted handsome face. He had a broad chest and shoulders with strong, hard arms. His hair was dark red with some dark red scruff on his jaw and upper lip. Ryker's eyes were a stunning, Ebony black. He was usually wearing a flannel button up shirt with the sleeves rolled up, and a few buttons on the top undone... paired with blue jeans, some Brown cowboy boots, and a black cowboy hat with a single, unique feather wrapped around the middle. He had a mischievous twinkle in his eyes at all times, and a charming smile. He still looks like this as a ghost, but with a more transparent body.

Personality: Ryker was outgoing and ready for anything, if a bit stubborn. He was headstrong and quick to make decisions, butting heads with anyone who opposed him. He loved nature and spent his whole day outside. Ryker's passion was horses... raising them ,breeding them, riding them. He was a wild cowboy at heart, always ready to roam the plains on his mustang. He had a teasing streak, pulling the best pranks and making the right insults where you wanted to be offended, but you just couldn't through all the laughter. He was quite cunning.

Background: Ryker had been a cattle rancher on a giant ranch in Texas. It was the biggest cattle industry in the country at the time. He ran the whole thing... hundreds of ranch hands and cowboys on the job, tens of thousands of cattle roaming thousands of acres. The cattle drive each year to Oregon was difficult. He had to hire new cowboys part time every time, and always had to go with himself to make sure it got done. Range wars happened frequently, because he neighbored with two big ranches that hoped to outdo him. There was always a fight to be the biggest cattle industry, but he had held the spot for five years in a row. On one cattle drive he was almost to Oregon when he found out the two bordering ranches to his had ganged up and were following them. The ranches attacked that night, killing every single cowboy, taking all the cattle, and torturing him before trying him to a tree and leaving him for dead. Ryker managed to get free, found a horse, and rode all the way back home with four gunshot wounds where they had tortured him with a gun. He staggered back to the ranch and got special care for weeks before the ranches attacked again. He was in his bed one night when the ranchers came and killed the whole household. All of his maids, all of his children... and finally his wife, right from next to him in the bed. Then they killed him in cold blood, and the last thing Ryker heard before his death was his wife screaming. Memories started to haunt him as he realized he was dead... but still there. He watched the men dispose of his body. Watched them burn down every building except the house. Watched them drag his wife and children out and feed them to the dogs. Watched as they claimed his cattle and territory. Ryker sat brooding for decades in that house. Finally he saw a for sale sign come up and... as he was following the salesman one morning.. he heard the old ranch house had been sold.

Other: None

Full Name: Fallon Shea Sullivan

Age: 24

Birthday: January 11th

Species: Human

Gender: Female

Bio: Fallon grew up in a big city and always loved the arts, mainly dancing. When she graduated high school she moved to New York from the UK to escape her family who were always trying to change her into something she wasn’t. There she was accepted to train with the USA professional ice skating team. Fallon was a hard worker and put her all into almost everything she did. The only thing she didn’t find relatively important was relationships. She always thought of them as a distraction and would often stay at home either rehearsing or with a book and a nice hot cup of tea. But with her hard work did come a deep sense of loneliness. She was always dealing with it alone and dance was the only thing that could distract her from it. When she was 23 a tragic accident during that year's Olympics going for a quadruple axle Fallon fell really wrong and broke both of her legs. After being hospitalized for almost two weeks Fallon went home but not having the support of her family and no longer being able to compete in the rest of the season she fell into a deep depression. That was until her best friend since birth Ashton convinced her to move to Texas with him to (finish recuperating) where he was looking at buying a ranch near his family down there. So with a heavy heart Fallon agreed.

Personality: Fallon is quite introverted and has difficulty connecting with people. She has a quiet nature yet is incredibly headstrong and devoted. She enjoys being in her own space, not really allowing anyone to get close to her. She can be a bit snappish when people purposely try to annoy her. She doesn’t appreciate people who don’t do their share of work. Fallon prefers to listen to people rather than talk but will give her opinion when it’s asked for.

General info: Fallon loves listening to music and going to the dog park with her dog Roco who is a big Rottweiler. Though he may appear big he is a gentle giant and gets along great with her cat Mitsy. Being a skater Fallon is quite athletic and always finds an excuse to go for a run or go to the gym whenever she can.

Family: Fallon has tried to keep as much distance from her family as possible. Nobody knows this but her family was the richest in their city which always put a little more attention on Fallon than she ever cared for. Her father had passed away when she was ten leaving her in the care of her very strict mother. Fallon had an older brother who she was very close to named Lucas but one night while coming home from school Lucas was hit by a car and killed on impact. Every year, only once a year on his birthday she returns home to visit his grave.

Appearance: Fallon is rather tall for her age standing about five foot six inches. She’s rather skinny but still has great muscle on her. She had really long straight brown hair with a tint of red in it when it’s in sunlight. Her skin is well tanned with a distinct birthmark on the left side of her neck that sort of looks like a crown. She mainly wears leggings and in a sports bra in the comfort of her home preferring to be comfortable and less confined. But when she is in public she’ll wear mainly dark skinny jeans and a comfortable sweatshirt.

Ryker opened his eyes. No, he had not been sleeping, because as he'd learned... ghosts can't sleep! Which is stupid, if you ask him, because he is bored 24 hours now instead of 20. Yese, 20 hours was what he usually stayed awake... he got in roughly 4 hours of sleep when he was alive. Life of a cowboy, he guessed. Ryker yawned and sat up, floating in the middle of what used to be his bedroom. He rolled his eyes and performed an action he had learned after many, many years. Ryker materialized a real, life-like body that looked just like him.. as a live human. He immediately went in and dropped to the floor, feeling weighed down by the gravity... again. Still, he was glad he looked like a normal human. In this state, other humans could actually see him.. he felt like a human, looked like a human, sounded like a human... even smelled like one. But, whenever he wasn't concentrating, his ghost left his *body* and the body disintegrated. Ryker trodded downstairs for his usual coffee. It didn't taste exactly like the coffee he was used to... probably because even after 50 years of doing this he still didn't have the tastebuds quite right. He mixed it up and drank it with a sigh of pleasure. As a ghost, he was bound within perimeters he didn't understand... but thankfully he could go outside the house. Not far, only about a mile away from the house, but still... it was better than going from a ranch worker to a couch potato.

Well today was the day. Fallons plane would be arriving in Texas any minute now. For now she retreated into her thoughts, which weren’t very good as of late. Looking down at her 4 year old rottweiler Roco she smiled a bit thinking about how much he’s going to enjoy their new life for now. Ashton and her had just purchased a ranch in middle Texas because Ashton wanted to be closer to his ranching family and back to his roots and he knew Fallon needed a change from hospitals and her lonely quiet apartment.

So she decided to exchange that lonely life for the busy life of ranching. Which she knew nothing about being from a big city in the UK. *Beep* “Attention everyone, we are now preparing our descent, please be sure to fasten your seatbelts and stow away any items in the overhead bins or under your seat. Thank you and enjoy the rest of your flight.” Fallon listened to the pilots instructions then for the rest of the flight turned her head out the window looking at the acres of field and other farm land then at the small town she was now going to be a part of.

Wheeling to baggage claim in her wheelchair she was able to locate her small back fairly quick and make her way to the entrance of the airport. Fallon had decided to leave most of her things in New York since Ashton had arrived in Texas a month earlier to prepare the ranch for her arrival, with her not being able to walk very well. She had started physical therapy only a month ago and had only gained minimal strength in her legs. Snapping out of her thoughts she looked up and saw as Ashton walked into the airport. Being only an inch or two taller than her Ashton was a very well built guy. Having an Indian background Ashton had longer straight black hair pulled back into a ponytail and darkly tanned skin. Wearing a plain gray T-shirt with dark blue jeans and a brown leather belt with a wolf head buckle in the middle (his family crest) he looked like the familiarity Fallon had longed for for many months.

Ryker took another sip of his coffee, leaning on the counter and staring out the window. He wished he was back out there, riding horses and herding cattle. Nothing would make him happier. This sad, lonely, boring life didn't suite him... he was meant to work for 20 hours of the day, not leisurely drink coffee while staring out a window. "I guess I kept some of my attributes after dying.." He mumbled under his breath, slowly blinking his jet black eyes.

Ryker decided to go for a little walk. If his information was correct, the two people who bought the house would be here today... and he didn't want to be there to find out who they were. Hopefully someone he could prank... but maybe not so much that they left. Ryker was so lonely here... he just wanted someone to talk to and laugh with. He exited the normal ranch house and walking across the lawn with his thumbs hooked in his pockets. When Ryker died he was wearing shorts and no shirt.. cause he was sleeping... but thankfully, with his body he managed to create, he could dress the way he wanted. So, of course, he was in his usual blue jeans, leather cowboy boots, a leather belt with black crosses around it and a belt buckle that said *Bronc Riding Champion* on it, a long sleeve flannel shirt that was tucked into his jeans with the top three buttons undone, and his normal black cowboy hat with a dark feather wrapped around it.

As Ryker sauntered through the fields, going more in a circle than a straight line... one mile wasn't that much when he usually rode a hundred... he thought about what these new people would be like. He had heard, male and female. He wondered if they were married. If so, they didn't have children, because no one else was moving in. Was the male at least good looking? Was the female? What were there names? Where were they from? Ryker hoped to dear God they weren't some city folk trying out a country life to 'get away from the rush of the city'. Ryker truly hated tourists...they were so stupid around animals, they talked too much, they knew nothing of ... nature in general, and they put themselves and everyone around them in danger. Texas, especially where his ranch was, was not for many people. Only the strong at heart could survive living twenty miles from the nearest town, in the middle of miles and miles of grass, with rolling hills as far as the eye could see, and no sign of life but animals. Ryker absolutely loved it, and the view was beautiful.

On their way to the ranch in Ashton’s beat up red 1989 Ram pickup Fallon sat in the backseat with her dog Roco, petting his head as he slept soundly on her lap. Her blue roan 6 year old cat Mitsy was in a carrier in the front seat with Ashton occasionally giving her treats to keep her calm. Looking out the window Fallon looked at the fairly small town. Many of the buildings showed signs of wear and tear but seemed pretty functional. Little boys were playing on the sidewalk throwing a football back and forth. All they had on were boot cut blue jeans that were tattered at the bottom and muddy. Being that it was early summer Fallon would have guessed it would have been warm enough to not wear a shirt.

Suddenly she felt herself shaking slightly and only then did she realize she had fallen asleep. ‘Wow the jet lag must have been bad’ she thought to herself and she looked to Ashton who had been shaking her awake. Sitting up she stretched her long arms over her head causing the sweatshirt she wore to ride up her stomach showing the lower half. After she gathered up her bearings she looked at the building in front of her. It was a slightly large sized ranch house that looked like it was built in an older western style. The house was two stories but looked more like three. It was equipped with a large wrap around porch which really appealed to Fallon. The large red oak door that was smack in the middle of the house looked really inviting. After taking a few seconds looking at the rest of the front of the house she feels Ashton hold her left hand lightly and give her a sad yet friendly smile. Smiling back up at him she nodded her head. “I’m ready” she said, opening her door and waiting for Ashton to come to her side with her wheelchair. Once she got into her wheelchair and Ashton had a hold of Roco and got Mitsy's carrier from the front seat he started walking towards the left side of the wrap around porch where it seemed a fairly new ramp had been built. Smiling up at him she began to make her way up to the porch.

Ryker heard a truck upll up. He tilted his head, vanishing as he left the body he figured out how to make and turning mostly invisible again. Impossible to see at the moment, since it wasn't nighttime. He jogged around to the front of the house and saw a truck... a Ram. "Damn it, why a Ram? Why not a Chevrolet?" Ryker sighed, trekking forward to see a young woman and an indian looking man get out of the car. "I know they can't hear me because I technically have no voice now but GET A CHEVY and I was NOT expecting a girl in a wheelchair. Is she BONKERS? Why would she come out to the MIDDLE OF FLIPPING NOWHERE. A cattle ranch farm house. 20 miles from the nearest town. WHAT THE HECK." Ryker snorted, shoving his hands deep in his jean pockets and started forward to watch them.

After he watched them walk inside, Ryker followed, looking interested. He was going to see what they would do to his poor house. It literally hadn't been lived in since... the night his family got murdered. "Lovely memories." Ryker grouched, crossing his well-muscled and well-tanned arms. He huffed a little before leaning against the wall, his reddish eyebrows raised.

Heading inside the ranch house Fallon instantly relaxed. The house, even though it had been built in an older fashion on the outside, had a more modern open concept design on the inside that usually suited people with children so that they could keep an eye on them. On the main floor it was like one big room. At first you walk into a decent sized foyer and right away there is a door to Fallon's left leading to an office area and half bath inside if she remembered correctly. Ashton had given her a virtual tour a few weeks ago to bring her spirits up. Walking farther in the dining area is to her left with the kitchen in the far left corner of the room with a large L shaped island in the middle of it. Straight ahead of her covering at least three quarters of the room is the main family room which was warm and comforting though not entirely furnished with a fire already blazing.

On the opposite wall facing the foyer a large glass sliding door showed a large deck/patio area. Finally the stairs to the second floor were located in the far right corner of the family room. The entire first floor was all hardwood save for a large fuzzy gray carpet in the family room portion. Fallon didn’t notice she had been just gawking in the middle of the foyer until she heard Ashton chuckle behind her while he undid Rocos' lead and hung it on the coat rack by the door. Setting the carrier down he opened the little door then walked to the kitchen to wait for Mitsy to come out. Mitsy was not a fan of anyone but Fallon. Roco immediately went for the large carpet and started rolling on it barking excitedly. Though he suddenly stopped and looked towards the front door and started growling low.

Ryker watched the humans look around. The girl seemed impressed... he was quite pleased with that, since he had built the whole house himself. Of course, some people renovated a little... but all they did was add new carpets. He designed the whole layout himself, making sure every detail was perfect before spending almost a year creating his masterpiece. Ryker was a very hard worker, and being a ghost sucked because he couldn't get more than a mile away from the place he died. It made him thankful, though, that he didn't die out in the field and rode home.

Ryker leaned on the doorframe and watched as the humans laughed, chuckled, and looked at their new house. He grinned as the dog ran out and started rolling. Ryker loved dogs... they were very useful on the ranch, and great companions. Rotty's were better for guarding than herding, but every ranch had to have a good guard dog as well. He did wonder why the girl was in a wheelchair... which made him wonder what her job was, how old she was, and what her name was. The male wasn't as interesting because it just reminded Ryker of the male's he was around every day of his life. Really, he only saw two female's and only very early and really late. His wife, Janessa, and his 14 year old daughter, Emily. Both murdered at the same night as he was. Ryker sighed and wiped the sad memories from his mind, watching the cat with slight disgust. The only thing cat's wee good for was exterminating mice and rodents... and they lived in the barn. Not the house! He huffed a little but snapped his gaze back to the dog as the animal started growling.

For some reasons animals had the ability to see him in his ghost form, even if humans couldn't, so the dog finally just noticed him. The dog could hear him, too, so Ryker smiled and walked a little closer, kneeling beside the wheelchair. "Hey, pup. You a good guard dog for your mother here? I'm sure you're a very good dog. Is that why you're growling? Don't worry, I'm no threat." He said soothingly. Ryker had always been great with dogs, probably because he loved them so much.
