Welcome to the land of Curseshore! (This RP is based off the book Eragon & Wof) - Wild waves crash on the cliff side of curseshore, The weak sun dapples down on those who walk her forest, they who drink her waters will be healed of mind and body, until one day a Dark power took over Curseshore, a wide ranged group of corrupted protecters and their dragons. Will the six new members of the dragon guard be able to unite and stop the evil mass? - Rules 1. Follow all HEE rules. 2. Any rude behaviour towards me or other characters inside the Rp without permission will be kicked from the rp. 3. The 0/1 next to the dragons types allows how many of the breed there is allowed, in this Rp only six players will be able to sign up, only one of each dragon breed is eligible for entry, if 1/1 the dragon breed is taken. 4. If any are confused about this Roleplay, please just Pm me, and I will explain to the best extent I can. 5. Feel free to swear! Just just a cap on how many times you swear in a sentence. 6. Breeding among the dragon breeds will only be allowed once a decent way through the rp, for at the start of the rp, the dragons are only hatchlings. 7. Please keep killing/hurting players to a minimum too, it is allowed but please, not constantly, you are able to kill however many NPC soldiers you would like. If you have read the rules, please post 'Dragon warrior' in other please ---x--- Explaning a little: When you start, probably start with a small scene that will lead to finding a dragon egg, Dragons and riders are immortal and can only be harmed/killed by standard weapons, or magical weapons. Bonds: When your Rider bonds to your hatchling dragon, (happens when the baby dragon hatch's) a faint scar will appear on the riders wrist, the dragon and rider share their minds, hearts and souls, forever in each others head, please keep in mind that other riders can hear another players dragon, if the dragon wishes. Also another thing players should be mindful of, is that dragons cannot speak out loud, if would only sound like a bunch of roaring, the dragons are much known for their mental strengths, baby dragons when born will not able to go on and speak as a older dragon might, like toddlers, they need to be taught, another way to add fire to the bond between rider and dragon. ---x---

(Just copied and pasted my old first post to kick us off) - Nolhend ---x--- Winter Age of Darkness ---x--- The Sickle raised over Nol's head dropped in a swift loop, freeing the dried Wheat from the ground, Nol bent to grab the small handful of wheat from the ground, dropping it into the weaved basket hanging from his back. Nol was about to grab another handful of dried wheat when something happened. The wind picked up the pace, sprinting around him much like a hurricane, Nol turned to run, he valued his life much more then some wheat, but somebody blocked his way, somebody in a white cloak. "Hello?" Nol said, "You should go, it's dangerous here" he said, turning to peak at the forming hurricane, all the white cloaked figure did was stuff their hands in their pockets. "Not yet young one" a raspy voice came from the weird cloaked figure, just at that moment the figure pulled a large white stone from their pocket. "take this, She has choosen you, I feel it" The cloaked figure extended their hands towards Nol, the white stone sitting warmly in their palms. "Uh, who's 'she'?" Nol said blinking rapidly, trying to wake from this weird dream. "your bonded of course, now take it, I don't have much time, there's others to visit, oh, Trust your instincts" The cloaked figure leaned forward propping the large white stone in Nols hands, Nol stared down at the egg, dazed at what just happened, but when he looked up the figure was gone. 'Why would they just me this over grown white stone, and who are the 'others?' The weird guy mentioned' Nol thought, stuffing the white stone in his own pockets to avoid his brother and father taking it. - "Hey Randa" Nol said walking inside the small cottage they all called home, Nol half walked, half ran to his room, putting the White stone under his bed, thankfully he didn't share a room with anybody, and when the stone was well hidden, he slumped down on his bed, thinking about his weird day

Elijah Hinten -♤- Elijah sighed, pressing his fingers against a pin. His mother was pinning another dress to her model at the moment, and apparently couldn't keep all the pins in one spot. Elijah didnt horribly mind though. He liked helping! Sometimes. "You can let go, hon." His mother said, her voice soft but a bit gravelly. It was familiar... Elijah pulled his hand away and looked the dress over. "Looks nice, Maman." He hums, smiling. She smiles slightly and grabs her needle, beginning to sew the dress. Elijah hums in boredom, walking to the front of the shop and slipping behind the counter. He plops down and props his head up on his arm. Elijah closes his eyes, hearing the wind whip around the building he was in. A grin spread over his lips. Maybe it would rain? Elijah glanced up as he heard the shoof of the door opening. Who would be coming right now? He thought in confusion, straightening up. His eyes traveled over a tall man in a long, flowing, white cloak. The hood was pulled over his head. Elijah's eyebrows furrowed. "Can I help you?" He asked, confusion ringing his voice. The hooded one glanced at him, seeming to just notice him. "Ah... yes." The hooded man said. Well, sounded like a man. He walked over, stretching out and taking Elijah's hand. He stared at the man, on edge. "Here... take this. She's chosen you. I can feel it." He said. Though, Elijah noted just how rehearsed it sounded. Like he had said it before. He had said it a lot before. As the hooded man slid away, Elijah felt a cool weight pressing down on his hand. Slick, smooth, and.. sort of heavy. The hooded man made his way to the door. "Keep it with you. And, trust your instincts." He says, voice dropping lower before he hurried out. Elijah sat there for a moment, staring at the door, perplexed. That was... weird... He thought, looking down at what he'd been given. His eyebrows furrowed. A blue, slick, rock...? Elijah shook his head and opened his hand to drop the thing. But he stopped, eyebrows furrowing. Why couldn't he? Why didn't he want to? Elijah sighed. "Guess I'm keeping this." He muttered. He slid the rock into his pocket and glanced at the door once more. A small smile spread over his lips once again. Maybe something exciting would happen. Elijah quickly made his way into the back, walking to his mom and the model, who was dressing to leave. Elijah winked at her and she rolled her eyes fondly. They were a lot like brother and sister, this was more then normal for them. Elijah grinned at her eyeroll. "Bye. See ya later Sten!" He chirped. Stena waved to him and his Maman before slipping into the main shop area and out the door. Elijah sat down in a chair and watched his mom see. I mean, he didn't have much of anything else to do. ///Isabelle Manclio/// Isabelle felt a cool breeze rush through the broken window in her tattered room. It swept over her bed that she was lying on, and carryed itself out the window into the cool morning air. She swung her legs over the edge, and heaved herself up. She quickly dressed into a pair of old jeans, and a hand-me-down red flannel. She slowly opened her door, carefull to keep the squeeking to a minimum. She crept down the stairs, and when she reached the bottom, nearly jumped out of her skin as her eye's layed upon her grandfather asleep in his rocking chair by the herth. She tiptoed to the backdoor, and creeped it open, and sliped into the cool air of morning, the shut the door with a muffled 'thump'. She waited a moment or so with her ear agenst the wood, making sure her grandfather was still asleep, then turned and ran into the almost empty streets. -~*~- She crossed the road to her grandfathers stable, and slid open the lock. She was hit with the smell of dung, must, and horses. She stepped inside, and let the morning light streem in thrugh the open door. The two horses welcomed her with a snort and a huff, then went back to eating there hay. Isabelle walked up to the first one, a solad grey mare with a sprinkle of dapples on her rear, and patted her on the nose, "Morning Moon." She then walked over to a copper bay stallion, with a patch of white covering his face, "Morning Lucky." She filled there water and hay. Then closed the door again, and truged up the old dirt roads. -~*~- By now, people were pacing through the streets, making there way to work,or home, depending who they worked for. Isabelle made her way up the road to a old bar, she trudged inside and walked p to a scruffy man in his mid 50s, and smiled a fake smile, "Hey boss, im ready for work." He made a stiff grumbling noise, and passed her a bucked of water, and old rags, "Clean e'm tables f'or tha stank like m'a mommas old cheeas." -~*~- She picked up the bucket with a sigh, and walked over to the first table, she zoned out while scrubbing, so when she turned to get more water, nerly screamed whne man in white robes apeared behind her. She put the rag down and smiled at him, "I'm sorry sir, but were not open till later." She signeled toward the exit, but her didn't move, Isabelle felt her patiance wearing out, "Sir please leave, Now." Instead of leaving the man stuck his hand into his pocked, and pulled out a black rock with white speakles. She staired at it in confusion, then looked at the old man, "Uhhh...." He opened his mouth to speak, and she shut hers as fast as she knew how. He heald the rock closer to her, and spoke with a old gravily voice, "Here....take this, he has chosen you, i can feel it." He gave isabelle the stone, and she felt how unnatrely heavy and warm it was. She staired at the old men in confusion, "Uhhh....what?' She whipped her head around when her boss yelled out from the kitchen, "Betta be cle'nen them tables like y'a life is go'in byby." Isabelle called back, "Yes sir!" Then she shook her head and turned back to the figure, "I'm so sorry about that, you were saying...." She stopped short when she relized the hooded man was gone, the popped her head outside and looked around in confusion, then at the stone like thing in her hand, "Well, guess time will tell if I figure out what you are." She slipped the rock into her pocked and began scrubbing again, her mind wandering to the questions she had forgot to ask the man. -~*~- (Sorry it's so damn long O-O) Edited at September 13, 2024 09:30 PM by Golden Heart

Nolhend - Winter Age of Darkness - Nol woke with a startle, his head feeling as heavy as a rock. The older boy glanced around the room, he must of fell asleep. The farm hand stood, the rough sheets slipping from around his legs with a cool whoosh. Nol walked towards the cracked mirror in the corner of his small wooden room, the thin walls doing almost nothing to keep the winters chill out. The boy looked in the mirror, his face split into a million different facets, Nol sighed and turned, his body facing the bed now. Nol bent, his knees touching the floor as he peaked under his bed. A shimmering silver and white oval stone, circled with a thin black throw. The contrast was beautiful, the shimmering rock obviously the most beautiful thing he had ever owned. Nol felt as if he could stay there for ever, watching the stone, but the sun had risen and it was time for work, he could goggle at the rock later. - Nolhend stared at the wind-ruined patch in the wheat field, yesterday a white cloaked figure gave him the shimmering rock there. And yet, the field told no story of change, just winds. Nol shook his head, he had only read so many stories of magic, and a few forbidden books on spells and how to perform them. He did believe in magic, but to a extent. Especially after the beginning of Darkness, nobody dared even think of magic. They hated it, just as much as the darkness that always loomed above us. Nol lifted the sickle above his head, swinging it down in a loop around him, the blade cutting into the stems of wheat. Felling the smaller stalks, like one might fell trees. Once Nol's basket was full with bundled stalks he turned and walked away from a cropped spot in the field, bald compared to the other long wheat strands. Nol dropped the basket by the family farms mill, it wasn't his job to do the rest. And the sun was in the middle of the sky, meaning time to stop. A lunch break. Nol walked back into the small wooden house that homed him, his brother, two sisters and his father. The wooden boards under his feet creaked with age and weariness. Nol walked over to the wooden cabinets and opened them, looking for something to snack on. After a little bit of prying, the farm boy found a few strips of jerky. Filling enough. Chewing on the leathery beef, he strode into his small room, eager to see the shimmering stone. With jerky sticking out the side of his mouth, wheat seeds peppering his hair and dirt smeared across his face, the boy crouched on the dirty floor boards.
The shimmering stone glinted back at the dirty boy, Nol reached towards it, his fingers grazing the beautiful stone. Dragging it towards him. Nol turned the stone in his hands, stopping short when he spotted something along the stones bottom edge. A web of thin cracks reached towards the top of the stone, mouth as wide open as it could get, Nol reached out and traced the lines. The stone hadn't been broken before! Why was it damaged now? Was it a geode? No. Geodes were plain, this stone was far from it. Something pushed back from under the stones surface, pushing the thin cracks. Making them widen and give way, the pretty stone shattering in a heartbeat. In the stones place was a wintery, scaled lizard. Inky eyes bored into his own blue eyes, spotted wings pressed to its body, four small legs with five talons of each gripping the boys hand, making markings on his arm and hand. Nols eyes widened and his mouth opened in suprise, infront of him stood a dragon, a god damn DRAGON. The things the dark rider used. The farm boy stared at the dragon before letting out a terrified shriek and flicking his arm, toned with strong muscles from all the sickle swinging. The dragon let out a small quip before it landed on the bed, the shimmering white dragon lay on its back, its wings spread on either side of it. Nol shoved himself away from the bed, taking fast steps backwards, his heel catching on the black throw, tripping him. Nolhend landed with a heavy thumb, the floorboards creaking under him. His heavy weight almost bending them, but his attention was on the glittering icey dragon on his bed, who was now up and peaking over the side of the bed. Almost as if it was checking if he was okay. Nol sucked in a deep breath... I mean... the dragon was sorta cute.., as if hearing the compliment, the hatchling chirped and hers itself off Nol's bed and onto his chest. It's claws digging into his winter shirt and curling into a ball, snuggling against Nol. The farm boy reached up, his fingers brushing against the dragons wings, horns and scales. A sort of gentle breeze surrounded him, the dragons head reached out and touched his wrist. Creating a blinding light, a deep affectionate air swallowed him, rendering the boy unconscious, the dragon curled up to his chest.
