Lieutenant Dwyer
Glory shook her head and said, "Nope. If I was in control, things would be a hell of a lot different up here." She gestured to her head as she said this. It was an uphill battle against herself, unable to win, unwilling to lose. "Nightmares," She corrected. There were no fluffy unicorns, kittens, and rainbows in her head after dark. Just the remnants of her monstrous creatures lurking. "Nah, Julius Ceasar is more accurate, partly because I'm pretty sure you've been stabbed around 23 times," She said. That was, of course, because Julius Ceasar had been stabbed to death 23 times by a group of senators. 'Figure it out! You can fight without killing," She retorted, grinning menacingly. She crouched low, sliding backward as he whacked her, her boots dangerously close to the edge. She recovered as quickly as possible, trying to duck under his next attack, though it unfortunately made it worse, catching the pillow with her face and stumbling sideways a little. "Bastard salach," She muttered - Dirty bastard - then grabbed her pillow in both hands, swinging in a fierce uppercut. She redirected the pillow's momentum to whack him across the face, then dodged backward, keeping her weight low so he couldn't knock her over so easily. She quickly assessed his position relative to the edge of the rug, and, frustratingly, he wasn't as close as she'd like. It'd take one heck of a combo to take him out.

Saifya "Sorrow" Moore | Lieutenant General Sector 2 | M: General Samara, Any others

Safiya studies the folder of papers once more. Information, pages and pages of it. Of the school, her assignment, what she would have to do in her new role, and even some of her new leaders. The general is said to be harsh, cold, and some have even gone as far as unforgiving and merciless. Just what she was looking for, someone strong to learn from, and at the academy at that. The others mentioned, though serious in their own way, didn't have as much information.

Libobon is ancient and prestigious, with the best of the best being picked after they change. She could only hope to live up to the name and honor of the school as she approaches the gates. If not for the help of her brother, now renowned for his time on the front lines against the Corrupted, she wouldn't be here. Before her, massive stones are stacked several long and wide to form the wall, stretching as far as she could see, and the large wrought iron gates themselves seem equally heavy. She takes a calming breath as she steps through, the heel of her boot landing with a soft thud as it hits the cobblestone courtyard on the other side.

The familiar metallic clunk of her twin blades, crossed in an X on her back, rings through her ears as she walks. She could feel the eyes of those around getting a sense of who she was, scanning her as if she was some potential enemy, sizing her up to determine if they can pull rank on her in some social hierarchy. As they should. In her black fitted fighting leathers and sharp eyes, she knew she looked ever the cold, cunning snake her father raised her to be. The feminine equal of her brother on the field of battle, just confined in the halls and classrooms of an academy. Here she could wage a battle of her own, one of wits and society.

The academy itself was breathtaking, with engraved stone walls on the buildings and a surprising amount of ivy and moss overtaking many of them. They line the courtyard in a half circle, opening at the other end to expose acres of forests and, distantly, a field for flight and other training. Fellow shifters hurry around, to classes or training she assumed. Lanterns and candles flicker in the windows high above and she could see gathering areas and halls through some of the open doors she passed. Ahead one building stood taller and more foreboding than the rest and she assumed it to be the central hub. The others may be training halls, classrooms, and dorms, but she felt this was where she needed to be. Where she'd find General Simara at least.

Students ran to and fro in the courtyard. Chasing each other, throwing what looked to be small fireworks or pebbles at one another. On the outskirts, a few ran around in dragon form, nipping and biting at their friends as they practiced. She could sense that many of them would be handfuls, and even the few professors directing the students didn't seem to help. Then again, that's all they were. Students… many just on that weird cusp in between teenagers and adulthood. They wanted nothing more than to hang to a piece of their youth before being carted off to fight. She didn't blame them one bit.

***

The inside of the building was elegant. Polished marble floors, columns of stone with whisky tendrils of color floating through then. The main area was a foyer lined with sitting areas. A few doors sat on the side walls, leading up the large split staircase as if they were guiding her. She follows the path, noting that lack of staff or higher up personnel around. If anything, the entire building seemed almost vacant.

The only open doors led to libraries and council rooms, some were offices. Ahead, at the end, stood a pair of dark wood doors. Gilded dragons clung to it, writhing and fighting. She pushes it open, finding the room empty. She steps in, noticing the long rectangular table. On a daisy above it say four thrones, for the generals she assumed. All were made of gold and had a feeling of life emanating from them, and she watched from a distance as their colors swirled and mixed. Icy blue, fiery red, a deep emerald green, and the fourth she couldn't quite place.

“Hello?” Her voice is soft as she speaks, though collected. Upon hearing no reply she takes a final look at the thrones and leaves, closing the doors behind her.

General Simara
Adder simara
-x-
Adder swung around and growled, a messenger stood in front of her. "What?" She snapped, the messenger flinched back, a hand with a letter in it, reaching out slowly. Adder darted forward, thanks to her training and snatched the letter, tearing it open.
-
Dear General Adder Simara
The new General Lieutenant Safiya Moore has arrived on Libobon academy grounds.
From, The watch.
-
Adder frowned, stupid changling watch was always sending these stupid short messages. Adder turned to the messenger and tore the letter, "pick it up" she said to him, "that's payment for taking so long, I reckon the lassie is wandering the halls and looking for us by now!" She shouted, turning and stomping away.
General Simara narrowed her eyes, whirling around on a servant, "Take me to the new lieutenant! NOW!" she growled, she so badly wanted to cull these servants and hire a whole round of new ones, maybe the new ones would be better.
The servant nodded, so hard his head could of fallen off and took off down the hallway, his covered feet thumping down on the floor with the momentum of a elephant. Adder turned and followed him, her full body of armour clinking heavily as she moved.
Soon enough the heavy servant had brought her to outside the council room. A lone figure stood in the doorway, Adder straightened, her armour rustling as she did. "General Lieutenant Safiya Moore, welcome to Libobon Academy"

Lieutenant General Safiya Moore

She had stood diligently by the door of the council room, keeping an eye out in case someone came near. She had hoped, with it being the seemingly main area to gather, she'd catch at least a messenger. It wasn't until she heard the angry steps and shouting from the hall that she finally met someone of importance.

Not just importance, rather the overseer of the academy… General Adder Samara herself. She was just as her portfolio had described. Older, though certainly wise beyond her years, lean, and fierce. She had an old beauty about her, one that Safiya made a note not to underestimate.

As the general approaches she salutes in perfect time, “General Samara, I am Lieutenant General Safiya Moore. My brother Kyron sends his regards and a letter of recommendation, as well as updates from the front. And I have several others from the sister school. They share high praises, some I expect I am not worthy of.”

She drops her hand from her forehead and offers the general the folder, one with all of her information and any other documents the general may need.

With a smile, she speaks once more, “And if I may, I have long followed your efforts and battles over the years since I was a lass. I am honored to have been accepted into your academy and even more so to be working at your side. I hope we can get along well enough.”

She stands stoically on the outside, a reflection of the general, yet on the inside she was sweating like a pig. She could only hope the general would like her enough to make the work she would be doing not a total misery, and her mind raced with all of the things she would have to explain if the general decided she didn't want her there.

"Haha, very funny. If you were in control you'd be focused far more on torture and you wouldn't let slip accidentally that you think I'm the slightest bit cute." Leo snorted, mentally hurting to say that, as it didn't make sense, but deciding to just forget about it. "Fine, in your nightmares. No G.O.D. would have dreams." He rolled his eyes. He then let out a small chuckle, shaking his head. "Most likely more than that, honestly. Just not all at once." He grinned, then let out a heavy sigh. It was too hard to figure out.
When she attempted to duck under his attack, he almost felt bad, as the full brunt of the force flattened her face it. He hadn't really intended for that. "You're the one who ducked!" He protested at her insult, his words quickly muffled as his head practically got snapped backwards by the pillow. "Alquarf!" He yelped, immediately wondering what the hell THAT language was, though he knew what word it was. He regained his mindset fairly quickly, dodging forward. Ducking sideways as if he was going to smack her in the back of the knees, instead he grabbed the other side of the pillow as it swung around and yanked, swiping her legs out from underneath her. It wasn't necessarily to put her off the mat, but when she got back up she was going to be off balance. As soon as she moved slightly higher, he slammed the pillow into her back, spinning to get out of the way before adding in an extra whack to the back of her knees, then restabalizing himself, his own knees bent and his fighting stance perfected. As he waited for her to make her move or fall off helpfully, he heard voices echo down the halls. Not near. No need to worry. However, he did pause for a second to enhance his hearing and listen around the campus. In the Great Hall, he noticed General Simara's voice talking with one whom he did not recognize, which was odd... especially for him. He took one more second to slow time down, needing to think for a moment or two without being smacked. Who could possibly be here that he didn't know? As soon as this duel was over, he was going to find out, along with Glory. She most likely needed to know as well. Sadly, it meant he'd have to sober up and start acting like an adult- to an extent, he was sick of everyone thinking he was an idiot. Maybe now would be the chance to have an ounce of respect. Most likely not, however, so he didn't get his hopes up. Focusing on Glory, he resumed time a split millisecond later.

Adder simara

Adder looked down at the folder in lieutenant Safiya's hand, she reached out and flicked the folder open with a slight move of her fingers. Adder looked over at Lieutenant Safiya, "Good, I take it you know my fighting styles then? Or my terrible temper?" Adder said with a flicker of amusement.
"Well, I do need new staff, I guess we can start with you" Adder said, turning away from the lieutenant, "now, if you want me to respect you, then you need to earn it. In the future you will fight along side me and other generals, but for now? We need to get Ceremonie day underway, there is no more waiting" Adder walked a few steps and turned back, looking at Safiya, "Are you coming?"

"Noooo, I was TOO focused on torture and my brain didn't have time to stop my mouth," Glory retorted. Well, now he may hold it over her head, but oh well. Not like she was lying, or just telling him what he wanted to hear. "Nope, only bring nightmares to life," She said with a chuckle at the use of her initials. "That's... kind of impressive, honestly," She admitted. How someone got stabbed more than once and lived to joke about it, she didn't know, though she was glad he did. "dùin do bheul," She huffed. 'Shut your mouth.' (Really west, Arabic? xD) She grinned proudly as her attack went beautifully, not stopping to ponder his gibberish-sounding word, then let out an undignified 'oof' as she hit the floor. Dammit. She tried to scramble up, then got whacked again. "Asal balbh," She hissed, half to herself and half to Leo. 'Dumbass.' She should've been more prepared, though in her defense it was just a pillow fight. She stood, keeping her stance wide and her weight low, she spun nimbly around behind him, whacking at his his hand holding the pillow, hoping to loosen his grasp enough to disarm him, then threw the pillow around his neck, quickly grabbing the other side and pulling him into a pillowed chokehold. "Got you," She purred. Caution mustn't be forgotten, as if he struggled too hard against her the pillow was likely to rip, resulting in Glory's loss.

"Does your brain ever try to stop your mouth?" Leo asked with a scoff. She was the kind of person to not really hold anything back, though he had seen some instances of self restraint. Possibly. "It isn't impressive, it means I have way too many places to stab that won't kill me and I never dodge quickly enough." He snorted. "I should count the scars..." He then mused, wondering if he would get anywhere near 28. If he had to guess, he might. (I said he knows a million different ways to curse in a thousand different languages! I wasn't lying xD). He let out an evil laugh as she hit the floor like a sack of rocks, then steadied himself for an attack. Even with her whacking of his hand, he didn't really lose too much of his grip, still having a rather strong grip. He tried to twist away before he got headlocked, but ultimately failed. His mind flashed through a couple different ways to get out, and of course, he chose his least favorite/favorite/best way to kill braincells idea. In one quick movement he jerked around so he was facing her, pressing his lips to hers in a kiss where he had to lean down way too far. (Stepstool time...) Half a second later, he pushed himself away, easily getting out of her grasp, and whirled in a full circle, the pillow quickly gaining speed, before smashing it right in her stomach. Since she was right by the edge of the mat, he prayed this worked. Especially since he'd never live down losing even with his interesting tactic. He could almost hear his pillow trying to shred itself, bit miraculously, it stayed together.

Lieutenant Dwyer
"Umm... every now and again," Glory answered honestly. Generally, her mind filtered out the worst insults before they made their way to her mouth, though apparently no part of her was used to any niceties. "Better than too many places that WILL kill you and still being slow," She countered. That was arguably one of the deadliest combinations. She was rather proud of herself for her quick little maneuver, though how he chose to respond was about the furthest from what she'd have ever expected. She just about dropped the pillow as he kissed her, her mind sort of just... shutting down. He hadn't even needed the pillow to get her off the rug, a mild push would've sufficed. She backpedaled out of the 'arena' involuntary, and said nothing for a few moments, words not functioning right. After remembering how to speak in at least half-coherent sentences, when she spoke, it came out in a soft whisper. "Why'd you do that?" Was all she asked, though meant 'Did you do that because you like me or just to win?' She hoped, above all, that it was the former, though her worrying made her nervous that it was the latter.
(Read that about 6 times to make sure I read it right xD)

Leo held back a laugh at the answer. He had expected that. "Very true. I'm extremely glad of that. Now if only it wouldn't hurt so damn much." He snorted.
Of course, his brain was in override at the moment, as he had specifically shut down all the parts of it that were freaking out in one way or another. That was, admittedly, a lot of his brain, but he could still function. He could see the absolute shock and the stunned expression, but she looked so shocked and stunned he had NO idea if she was slightly irritated, furious, just displeased, didn't care, or, dare he say, liked it. Well... he had won. He was and wasn't going for that. It had more just been a split second urge in his mind that made him not care if he win or lost, just if she would kill him for what he was about to do. Hopefully it was a little late for the murdering part? He kind of just stood there like a statue as his mind contemplated the meaning of life and why he had not been given a brain. As Glory spoke, he slowly glanced at her, STILL not being able to read her friggin face. Now he had to answer truthfully. Darn. He opened his mouth to answer and no words came out at first. With a wince, he retried. "Bbbbbbecause I wanted to... it may not have been just the winning... although that was a side perk..." He answered, the parts of his mind he was trying to block out just screaming bloody murder and terror because he didn't know what was going to happen and he HATED that. [Why the friggin hell would you try and ruin the one mildly decent relationship you had with a friend like her? WHY? DO YOU HAVE ANY BRAINS IN THIS SKATÁ HEAS OF YOURS] He thought, resisting a low groan, his mind swirling with so many thoughts he swore he was going to tip over. After a couple seconds his eyebrows furrowed slightly. "I'm sorry- If that.. was too far- I didn't mean to push you- I just... I don't know. Sorry." He finally mumbled. The look on her face still indicated horror at the worst and just shock at the best, but it was doing a dang good job of hiding every other emotion, which meant he couldn't tell what they were. And he was not using the silly Empathy power to figure it out- that'd be cheating.

(I know the feeling- I sat there and contemplated whether to actually write that for 10 minutes, then after I wrote it I had to think about whether to make him mentally freak out in that post or this post xD)
