"my name's River but you can call me Riv" River said softly fingering the ends of her hair that hid the side of her face, hence that were hiding the scar across her right cheek

Diablo lifted his eyebrows and took the gun, making sure the chamber was open and there was no ammo inside before pointing the gun at a tree away from the other people and pering through a scope with the glasses on. "Interesting." He mumbled, bringing it back down and examining the craftsmanship of the gun. "Not bad." Diablo handed it back. +++ Alaska arched one, light blonde eyebrow as she gazed around at the others. "Nice to meet you Tiger, and Diablo, mantis, and River." She nodded sharply, walking over to a tree before pulling up her long hair into a ponytail.

Mantis smiled. "yup that's not my best though check this out." He picked up what looked like a tick. "this has a toxin or something. i don't know what it is you'd have to ask Tiger. but anyone when the tick bites it releases the toxin or whatever and the person will be dead in a matter of hours." He smiled Tiger shook her head "It's a bacteria. It causes tubercolosis. Of course it's genetically modified to act quickly and antibiotics will not work." Tiger looked at alaska. " Hey you want to see the house?" She nodded to river "you can come too if you want"

Diablo lifted his eyebrows and looked at the new thing. "That is interesting." He mused, studying the parts of the fake tick. "Oh- and- nice to meet you Alaska and River." He turned, addressing the two that had come after him. He had gotten sidetracked. Diablo then turned right back to looking at the fake tick. "Tuberculosis, eh?" He mused quietly. "Nice design." +++ Alaska crossed his arms, since that was more comfortable. "Why not." She shrugged, walking after the other female.

Mantis smiled "Bugs are my specialtiy." He then shifted into a praying mantis. Quickly he shifted back. "I guess being a bug makes you love bugs. The bacteria was on tiger. She's smarter than she looks." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Tiger lead alaska into the entry hall. "so this is just the entry hall. Mantis and I found this place abondened a year ago. We think it was an old mansion from back during the cold war." She smiled and lead Alaska throught the huge house. "It'll be our headquarters. As well as a place to live for those of us who have no where else to go."

Diablo nodded. He had guessed Mantis was a praying mantis.. and of course a half-bug would be good with bugs. "Makes sense." He commented. "I can tell." He answered Mantis's last sentence, glancing around again. +++ Alaska sauntered into the room and looked around at the high, vaulted ceilings and the sparkling chandelier. "Nice. I'll have to live here, then, because at the moment my home is a small cave not to far from here." She commented with a wry smile, scanning the place.

River just stayed in the clearing for a moment before transforming into her horse form and galloping off. She hated confined spaces it was just the way she was.

"Well shall we go see the control room?" mantis asked.

(Hi, I thought this idea was really cool so I thought I might try to ressurect it? :) - Nadia was sprinting through the forest, trying to catch up to a deer (AKA a shifter). She shifted into a wolf and pounced on the deer, digging into it's long neck. She starts to dig her claws into the deers body and the deer falls to the ground, dead. She shifts human and stands up, wiping her arm acrossed her mouth. "Another one down." She mutters, face neutral. She didn't have much will of her own either. They could "punish" her. It had only happened once. When she didn't get the job done. She looks around, admiring her surroundings before turning on her heel and shifting, running back into the deep forest. She runs all the way back to The Governments buliding, before shifting back and walking inside. She arrives and stands face-to-face with The Council. She kneels, "I have completed your task." She speaks, loud and clear. Her voice echoing along the walls. "Good. Night Shifter. Go, we have another that has been discovered." The Head says. Nadia stands and nods her head walking out the way she came. Someone gives her a briefing of who the shifter is and where they are and the next thing she knows, she's their. But instead of starting her mission immediatly, she finds a river. Refilling her water and standing by it. Gazing into the beautiful water. She then hears a noise. Heavy Breathing. She crouches low to the ground, allowing her hearing to amplify. She hears them and starts off toward the noise. Light footed, making no noise. She comes upon a shifter in the middle of a clearing. She can tell since one moment it's a horse, the next it's a person. She scales a tree and watches. Observes them. It seemed to be a girl, and she had a knife strapped to her leg. -I'll have to get this one by surprise. If I get assigned her that is.- Nadia thinks, not moving, just observing the girl. Soon she could smell others. Shifters. She shrunk back into the tree, concealing herself from view and pearing at the girl from under some leaves. She could smell another, right below her. She looked down and saw her target. She leapt down from the tree, landing on his back and severing his spinal cord with one clean swipe. She stands up glancing around. -I can't stay here for long.- She thinks climbling back up a tree and jumping to the next to get away from the body. She didn't go far. Still wanting to observe this shifter. She hadn't been assigned to The Night Shifter so she had no reason to kill her. Except she might have been the one to kill her broter. She didn't know at the moment so she just stayed still. Hidden from sight and observing the girl. Edited at December 11, 2023 12:59 PM by Oakwood Barn
