Yes agreed- invest in barns for decently useful studs and plenty of mares and it pays for itself in no time

Yep, I have a barn 'Quest boys' for most of my homo studs (but my RbRb is retired as of now ☚ī¸)

I skip any fut, member show, fed, or HEWG quests, and I also just don't have the patience for mini games. I also don't particularly go for maps, they're cool, but i'm too lazy to sort the captures lmao

If you do quest I really recommend having your own quest studs. It has made it so easy with the breeding ones.

Yesss love the breeding ones! Those, crafting, fetch and explore are my main bulk, then I'll do the paddle one if it pops up when I'm on PC and I try to keep any brindles back that might be premium for that quest. Capture quests depend- I'll always do the 50 and I try and do the 25 with free passes if I build up enough. Then keep the wilds aside to rate them as and when they're useful
Santana Rising

The breeding quests go rather fast (unless it's brindle) and right now I have 2 showing quests - one is more than half finished) and I also like the explore ones and some of the mini games I do anyway. The palomino P has been sitting in my log for a while. But it gives 8 +20 maps and I am not skipping that

I knock out quests on each account till I get to ones I either don't want to do or can't do and call it that for the day XD

Quest is how I afford all my Svens and how I get my medals xD Maps are a nice side income as well

I do a lot of the showing and breeding quests - hence the 300 quest specific horses I have >.>
Minerva
03:53:35 Min
Ack yeah it is sad when Gemma's an arsehole. I tend to try and have one long-term quest like an explore, then 2 slots for quicker quests and as the day goes on try to end up with no skips left and at least 1 show quest
Santana Rising
03:53:12 San
I never had much luck with Svens. Best I got was WWE,so I'm less and less inclined to waste my credits on those either
Santana Rising
03:51:49 San
Yeah, i might have bought skips a handful of times since they were introduced. Definitely not using them enough it seems. I always think 'what am I doing? Why am I wasting money on this!?' after I skip once and get 3 more dud quests
~Savy~
03:51:11 Sav
I throw the meds at my SD mostly. I have too many AD girls, so I sven two, then the rest it's close my eyes and hope for the best
Santana Rising

I think I had 5 medallions this year - and in the end when I had none left and couldn't be arsed after a slew of EEEs i got a WWW. So far only Svens were unlucky with me. Seems medallions are now too.

T'sani Mzi | 29 | R/ XC | Zeus & Witch | Emalee

"Ah, cool." T'sani slipped into a comfortable silence, simply taking in the surroundings. The mist was finally clearing, although the sun was slightly more wan than usual.

Collecting Witch, he slowed her to a walk. Her hooves hit the ground at consistent intervals, methodically plodding down the rough path. T'sani breathed in deeply, the scent of rain and damp earth filling his mind.

Emalee Sanders | 24 | XC/D | T'Sani

Em watched T'Sani with interest. `` I guess I'll pop down tomorrow and check out the holding pens. What time do you do your lessons?`` She asked, breaking the silence.

Emalee felt bad so she looked down at her hands which held the dark brown reins. She gave the mare a quick pet then looked back up at the quickly emerging stables.

T'sani shrugged, the reins loose in his hands. "Really, it depends what other lessons are happening that day. Probably around 4pm-ish, but it'll be posted in the tackroom this evening."

He glanced at his companion, his eyebrows furrowing slightly at her small shift in mood. Noticing the nearing building, he let Zeus walk freely, dropping the joined reins. "Well, guess we're back. It was nice riding with you." He said it amiably, no sarcasm or malice in his words.

Emalee Sanders | 24 | XC/D | T'Sani

Emalee nodded as they neared the stables further. She unmounted the mare and led her to the cross ties. `` I rode her so I will groom her. Is that alright with you T'Sani?`` Em asked with a small amount of hopefulness. She loved riding Witcher because of her personality and temperament and wanted to spend as much time with her as possible.

Em untacked the mare and replaced the bridle with her halter. The two clips were clipped onto her halter and Em grabbed out her grooming equipment. She pulled out the curry comb and began doing small circular motions in the mares dark coat.

Please excuse the length >_<

T'sani Mzi | 29 | Emalee

T'sani resisted a smile at Emalee's eagerness. He could see that she enjoyed riding Witch, and the mare felt likewise. "Sure," he said amiably, dismounting lightly. He tugged off the broken saddle, and laid it outside the stall momentarily.

He took his time grooming Zeus, working at a leisurely pace. The gelding's eyes slowly closed as T'sani began grooming his face, his favourite place.

Emalee Sanders | 24 | XC/D | T'Sani

She worked through the mares coat, making sure she didn't miss a spot. Em was slightly nervous about doing her face but the mare almost pushed herself into the brush at one point. Once her coat was worked through Emalee gave her mane a quick comb, getting out all of the small leaves that had gathered in it. She braided it loosely then undid it, admiring the small waves that came quickly.

Em finished up with the mare and unclipped the cross ties before walking her back to her stall. She watched T'Sani for a moment then returned her attention to the mare who had her mouth burried in the water trough.

Maria|Mom|M: Jay

Hurriedly chucking things into a suitcase, Maria could feel her panicked heartbeat. Turning to see her husband standing in the door of their room, beer bottle in hand. "Maria, where the hell do you think you're going?" Looking to her husband, she let out a shakey breath. "Nadeem, our son is in the hospital. He was just hit by a car. I have to go be with him." Nadeem snorted. "Serves Jay right. That worthless little piece of shi-"

"Callete Nadeem. It's Edhas. Now I really have to go." Making her way out the door as quickly as possible. Starting the car for the three hour drive, Maria pulled out of the drive and zoomed down the street. Dialing Jay's number as soon as she coud, Maria almost yelled into the phone. "Jay! Que paso mi hijo? Im on my way to the hospital right now. I sincerely hope youre already there."

Jay Hernandez | 21 | Maria

As soon as he had found enough information from the methodical receptionist, Jay began racking his brain for thoughts on how to get there. All of the instructors were either out or busy, and although he knew how to drive, he didn't have an official license.

"Desperate times call for desperate measures," he murmured under his breath as he inserted the key for Dash's car. Stepping in, he ignored the fact that he could spend the night in jail for what he was doing; but there wasn't time to think.

He reversed roughly out of the park, leaving the property. Okay, so maybe he was exxagerating when he said he could drive. His dark forehead furrowed, he cursed softly in Spanish as he narrowly missed a fence post. Other drivers were beginning to look strangely at the careening grey car on the highway.

His phone lit up once again. Slowing to glance at it, he let out the subconscious breath he'd been holding. Maria Hernandez. Putting it onto speaker, he concentrated on keeping the car in a straight line as he spoke to his mother. "Mama-" He broke off to let her speak, his eyes filling with tears for the second time that day.

He stayed silent for a few moments once she had finished, unsure lf what to say. "No lo sè, Mama," he said simply. "No lo sè*."

*I don't know

Maria|Mom|M: Jay

Maria listened to her son's words and could hear the fear and worry in his voice. Wishing she could simply teleport to him, she tried to keep her voice calm. "Ay, hijito. Just stay safe. Please. Call me when you get to the hospital. Mama's coming." Ending the call Maria gripped the beads that lived in her pocket. What else but praying the rosary would help her find the strength and coourage. "Dios mio, damelo la fuerza, por favor."

-------------------------------------

Slamming the car door, Maria walked as fast as she could. Stopping briefly to get information about her son's whereabouts, she continued on, breathing hard, her heart pounding. Looking around she saw Jay sitting alone in a corner of the waiting room. Picking up the pace, Maria stopped in front off him and took his hands in hers. Looking up at her, she could see that his eyes were red. Sitting down next to him, she simply held her son as sobs wracked his body, she herself struggling to keep from breaking down.
