Mz grunted and laughed to himself, "'best work'" he muttered to himself, Mz watched the young dog wag her tail, "you are a good dog Raina, keep it up"

Junes heart skips a beat with the instinct to be stern with Raina but instead of anger, compassion fills her eyes. Understanding that Raina is still learning and growing. June gently approaches Raina. With a soft nuzzle June reassures Raina that it's okay. "You had the best of intentions for the health of Mz." June understands that compassion and forgiveness are important in building a strong team bond. "Just make sure you are communicating to us that you want to slow down so we can be safe."

"Yes Ma'am!" Raina looked up at the Leader and smile her tail slowed down again as the Musher had them continue. She ran as fast as she could to keep up with Bel and he could clear three of her strides in one of his. Her red and white fur had a few tangles in the from the fall. *** She had to jump a few times to stay next to Bell. "Bel can you shorten your strides a bit please?" she pused and jumped again before finding the right stride to keep beside him.

As Raina stumbled and pulled Bellamy back, it was a split second before June had been yanked back as well, tumbling into Bellamy and causing him to tumble back into the dogs behind. He fell into the cold ground with a huff, jumped up immediately and began barking aggressively and loudly to urge the musher to move with more urgency and untangle them. "God damnit!" he growled roughly, shaking the dirt from his fur and looking at the rest of his team with a disappointed expression. He despised mistakes within the team, despite Mz having been injured. He didn't have the best relationship with Mz – Bellamy had always thought that the dog was too old to be running, and didn't take the sport seriously. "It's fine, Raina." he simply said, not wanting to speak much more out of respect, seeing as he would likely lose his temper and snap at the younger dog. As they got clipped back in, Bellamy had to adjust to Raina's pace, which was much slower than him. "Sorry." he turned to Raina, slowing his pace a bit more. "No...Don't be... I'm sorry.." She sped up as fast as she could, not wantng to anger he supieror dog and more. "I... Didn't mean for you to fall.." She tucked her tail. "I just wanted to help Mz... It kind back fired." She worked double time to keep up with him at his pace. *** A low growl escaped her throat as her shoulder popped from runnig so fast but kept runningRaina hated thinking that he had burdened the team with her falling or getting hurt in any way shape or form so she kept her outh shut and ran. He continued at a slower run, letting Raina catch up to him so that they could run at comfortable pace together. He let out a sigh as Raina apologized, but kept his eyes forward. "I know you're sorry, Raina. Don't worry about it." "The older you get, you'll realise that dogs like Mz don't have a place here. He holds the team back, and the human needs to see that and put that old dog into retirement." Bellamy growled, continuing forwards, panting slightly to keep himself from tiring out. He sounded harsh, but he didn't have time to deal with dogs that couldn't keep up. Edited at November 12, 2023 11:22 PM by Cherry Point Farms

Mz flicked his ears, hearing Bell and Rainas he stood as best as he could and snarled, his hair stood on end and his hackles were raised, his teeth bared, his eyes crazy with anger. "Oh? And you think you would be any better when your older, Bellamy?" His voice was filled with pure anger, though inside, Mz was unsure why he was feeling this way, he had never felt such rage in his life, but he couldn't shake the newfound mountain of anger.

Bellamy's ears pinned back at the sound of Mz barking at him from inside the sled. Unfazed, the male kept his running pace, rolling his eyes as he stretched his stride out. "Shove off old man," Bell growled, not bothering to turn back and distract himself from running. "Just lay back down in the sled while we pull you back home, you clearly can't do much else but weigh the sled down anyways." he snapped, a harsh growl in his tone as he spoke.

Mz growled louder and lunged forward, grabbing Bellamy's tail in his jaws, he allowed his mouth to slip near the end of the tail, to the weaker section of the tail, Mz tried lunging forward off the sled this time but his harness thankfully didn't allow him, Mz growled with frustration and dropped Bellamy's bleeding tail, Mz shook his red, his vision cleared, the anger draining from him, he saw the state of Bellamy and his eyes widened, "i am sorry" he said
