RP Rules: *Be nice (only rule for now) Out at the Sisters Step there is a pride of Lioness's and their Mane (Another word for Male Lion), There is plenty of prey on the prides territory and a huge lake on the edge, the territory is quite large with its own forests and grasslands. There is a second pride known as Far Reach Pride, they have a large territory at the end of the prideless stretch, they have a medium sized forest, plenty of streams, creeks and rivers through the land, and alot of grazing prey, they also have a mountain going into the end of their territory. It is the hottest season yet, many prides across the land are going through a drought, with more then half the percentage of prey leaving for cooler grounds, at this point, a bigger rift between each pride grows bigger due to heat and hunger. Roles: Mane/King (Male Lion) -The pride's Mane protects his land, hungress's, and his cubs. He gives daily announcements and provides information that a pride huntress may give about certain prey and other topics. Hunt Chief/Queen (Female Lioness) -The Hunt Chief is the Mane's main mate that has somewhat authority in the pride, she takes the Huntress's out to hunt and tells them what positions they need to get to to trap prey (e.g. "SilentStalk, you flank to the left, Bay-Leaf you come up on the right side and drive them towards the cliff, me and Leah will wait to jump out in front of the herd"). The Hunt Chief/Queen will also be in charge of the Huntress Assessments, with the Mane watching the Lioness's performance in her assessment, The Hunt Chief will judge her based on the skills she shows, and ultimately choose a name that tells everyone what this lioness is good at Guard - The group of Lioness's specially chosen to guard and protect the prides territory, Mane, and even Hunt Chief from intruders. Huntress - Most of the Lioness's in the pride will take their Huntress assessment in order to earn their pride name when they are two years old, what their good at, and become a proud Huntress who hunt with their pridemates and get food to take back to their pride. Cubs: When a baby Lioness is born, they typically go nameless until their Huntress assessment, they are two be referred to as 'Daughter' 'Sister' 'She' 'Her' until they acquire their name at the age of two. Whereas Male Lion cubs are born with names, but have to earn their 'Mane' once their old enough to go start their own pride, once they steal a pride or make one they will then earn their Mane (e.g. A lion cub could be named Feather, but he won't get his mane till hes old enough to leave his parents pride, even on the prideless stretch he will only be called Feather. Once he attains a pride of his own he will earn his Mane, making him known as FeatherMane) Cubs do not have any responsibilitys __________________________________________ ...::Ceremony of Acceptance::... For a prideless Lion to get himself a pride he can either TRY and find a empty territory and start up a pride, but the main way for a male lion to join a pride is by taking it by force, if a male lion desires a specific pride he may challenge the pride's Mane, the mane has to accept the challenge, it is HIGHLY preferred that the pride huntress's are there to watch the their mane and the opposing lion fight, because if they aren't present, than that means the opposing male lion COULD lie about how he wins, which can effect whether the pride Lioness's accept him as their new mane, as he could of killed the original mane unfairly be sneaking up on him and attacking by surprise. Hence why there should be witnesses to know it was fair, If the opposing male Lion wins and defeats the original Mane, than he has the right to kill the old mane's cubs so that the bloodline is destroyed, the mane can have cubs with pretty much any Lioness in the pride, but the Lioness he chooses to be his pride's Queen, their cubs are the heir's to the pride. For a prideless Lioness to get accepted by a pride, the pride huntress's and/or Mane must have faith in this Lioness's ability to hunt for her pride, and pledge loyalty and devotion to her fellow pride-mates and Mane, if they have faith in her then she must undergo a Huntress assessment at the sun's highest point, she will be assessed on her strengths, she will be tested in speed, agility, stealth, strength and patience, a perfect leap, hunt, stalk can give extra points. If the Lioness passes her huntress assessment, the pride's Hunt Chief will present her new Pride name |

Shade is a very reserved Lioness as she tends to keep everything to herself. She can be kind at some certain extent but when push comes to shove, she'll boldly speak out her thoughts that come to mind. The she-wolf can get quite stubborn at some points while at other points, she'll get quite feisty when it comes to someone trying to pick a fight with her or something. She'll sometimes have her clumsy days which she'll most likely trip over something or walk into someone without paying attention to where she's going. Role

Huntress Apperance
Shade is an obisidian Lioness with an ebony turfted mane. She's a bit taller than an average lioness so she would be 6 feet in length while weighing around 390 to 490 Ib. The lioness usually gets mistakened for a male lion which in her opinion, she finds it funny. She has an athletic but lean build, made perfectly for hunting while having a muscular structure incase she needs to fight any pride lions that try to mess with her in order to obviously protect herself. Her fur helps her blend into some areas to make it a little easier to sneak up on either antelops or zebras or to avoid unwanted confrontation from another lion or lioness. Her yellow eyes give an ominous when they glow faintly in the dark but in the daytime, they're just commonly normal like any lion's eyes. |
