But also it's recommended that I remove the eggs after 3 weeks.
I never really intended on them being parents, they had a fake egg already but apparently that didn't stop them from laying their own lol.
I don't want to strain my female too much though. So I'm hoping once they realise it won't hatch then they will write off babies this year and not lay any more. Can't say that'll happen for sure though.

I don't believe so. My best bet would be to potentially find a baby fallen from a nest and give it to them to raise. Apparently pigeons have insanely strong maternal instincts so would likely take to caring for it well.
And every year we have babies who fall from their nests across the road. Thats how I ended up with my boy. But the chances of me finding another alive baby are pretty low.

I'm a little late but that's actually do sad. Maybe there's a foster system you can look into? Like foster eggs? I'd bawl if my animals took the time to make and raise something that ended up dying, it would actually break me.

My poor birds egg isn't viable anymore. It breaks my heart that I have to watch them be dedicated parents to an egg that will never hatch 💔

Wisteria Lee || 17 || Female || Take a Little Chance(Chance) || M: Ruth
"Switching horses to start might be really helpful. That way we are not going to have to be learning our new discipline as well as teaching our horse it at the same time. We could even help teach the other person's horse our discipline, given that the disciplines are so different." Chance would be fine with a different rider, he was chill like that. Wisteria hoped that Ruth's horse would be a good teacher. She remembered that when she first started to ride that she had been taught a large part by the horse she had road, as much if not more than she learned from her trainer. Polka had been such a good horse and while she missed the mare, she also knew that Chance was a better fit for her because he could compete with her. Polka had been on the older side and just didn't have the energy that she once did. She would be what, 25-26 now? The mare had been a star in her day but she was now too old for the show ring and instead just passed on her knowledge to new riders.

Shiloh Clearking || 19 || F || WW Deluxe Glowin Cowboy Crush(Deluxe Crush) || Mentions: Deluxe, Earl
-
Shiloh continued plodding down the trail on Deluxe, who had his ears pricked forward and was observing everything around him. Suddenly a cottontail dashed in front of Deluxe spooking him quite a bit. Shiloh began trotting Deluxe in order to calm him down and then began walking again. Deluxe settled down eventually. "See buddy a rabbit isn't that bad , it's nothing to worry about" she spoke softly to the stallion as they passed another cottontail. Deluxes red roan coat glistened in the sunlight as they continued.
-
As she continued she began humming music that came to her head to deluxe who had seemed to enjoy it. The sun warmed her back as she walked on enjoying the sounds of nature and her horses shoes hitting the dirt along with his occasional snort. Minutes later she heard hoofbeats. Deluxe looked back and snorted arching his neck at the coming horse and rider. Shiloh looked over her shoulder at the pair trotting down the path towards them. She had heard him say Hello and it would be considered rude if didn't greet him in some way back. She waved awkwardly "Hello" she smiled sheepishly. "You can ride with us if you'd like" she shouted

Drake Vaughan | 18 | Male | Weezy Outta Here (Wayne)
-
Drske hopped on Wayne and followed Cade to the cross country area. He warmed Wayne up until he felt ready to jump, and Wayne was feeling great today, the running martingale was definitely a smart choice. Once both pairs were ready to go, Cade found a small log in the grass field. Cade and Jazz popped over the log easily, Jazz throwing a buck afterward. The log was probably 30cm and they had done logs before, but it always had rails over it so Drake was curious to see how it went. Once Cade was done putting his martingale on Jazz, Drake cantered a small circle. Happy with his canter, he turned Wayne to the log. Wayne perked his ears, adding impulsion to his stride and jumping with scope to spare. Having jumping hard and way over, Drake was a little caught off guard on landing and started laughing. He turned to Cade, "I think we should do that again." He was laughing the entire way back to the log, and Wayne jumped it in a much more normal fashion. He pulled up next to Cade and gave him a big smile.
"Well that was a lot of fun! What would you like to do next?"

Louis Wright | 19 | M | Conquer Nought (Statis) | Mentions: Mist

Having been caught dead in the centre of his mishap, Louis rubbed the back of his neck as he waved dismissively. Caught up in his own thoughts, he responded without really thinking too deeply. “Yeah, yeah. I’m alright - don’t worry. Just my pride that has been hurt.” The other person had tried to kind of catch him and he was kind of glad they weren’t particularly successful. Because he definitely would have toppled with the extra weight. And then, by pure chance, he actually took a proper look at the source of the concerned voice. Needless to say, it was his roommate. The one with funky patterned shirts and the squeaky drawer. Not that the drawer being squeaky was her fault exactly.

“Oh,” His eyes widened briefly as he looked her up and down, “I guess, hi, I’m Louis…” His sentence ended up dropping off as she nodded acknowledgement of having heard him, before dashing off with her plate. He traced her movement for a moment, confused at her having sprung away. He spun around to head off, when she made her dashed sprint back in a chatter of sound. In all honesty, with the way she was speaking, he ended up missing half of what she said. But it seemed that she didn’t quite recognise that he was her roommate. Well, time to find a way to surprise her.

He gave a half-smile and shook his head, “You’re all good; you remind me of my own sister. How old exactly are you?” She for certain was of the oblivious kind. A bit hesitant but impulsive in her speech. And she was incredibly short, standing over a foot shorter than him. So the moment she started fidgeting away and looking down, all he could see was the blonde hair – still with damp streaks from the earlier shower. “Perhaps, we could talk on the way back to our cabins.” He offered kindly. And with some amusement. It would certainly be a surprise for her when they both ended up in the same cabin.

Earl K. Aurelius || Male || 20 || Viridian's Glorious Vigil (Valiant) || Mentions: Shiloh

Earl brightened once she confirmed he could tag along on her ride, patting Valiant on the neck before matching the stallions speed to that of the other horse. While Valiant was taller, the stallion adjusted easily and regarded the other for a moment before focusing back in front of him. Earl looked around the area, loving the serenity that it brought him for just a few moments. Bird calls were very faint in the distance, and he was sure if you looked hard enough you would be able to see badgers or even deer if you were lucky. Wait, had they actually introduced themselves yet? Earl turned back to the girl quickly, adjusting the reins to hold them in one hand so he could offer his left for a handshake. It was somewhat natural to him, after all they had to learn to hold the reins in one hand so a role could go in the other, however the position was still a little awkward. "I haven't introduced myself. I'm Earl, Nice to meet you. This is my horse Valiant." Gesturing to the bay horse in particular, he lengthened the reins a little bit to let him lead the way. The winds were cold, but not so much it would make Earl wish for a jacket. Rather, it was a nice addition to the weather, allowing him and Valiant to be quite comfortable. "What Discipline do you ride in? Or do you ride in multiple?" He was curious, to say the least. What kind of person was she and her horse? They certainly looked like a good pair, and the promise of learning something new or interesting tantalized him enough to try and make long conversation.

Shiloh smiled sheepishly once more and looked at the scenery while The pair beside her caught up and matched her and deluxes pace. She glanced at the rider and his horse observing their features. Suddenly The rider had quickly turned towards her putting his reins into one hand offering a handshake. The sound of him moving so quickly had made Deluxe prick his ears forwards and raise his head. She moved Deluxe closer to him and the bay accepting his handshake quickly so he wouldn't have to be in such a awkward and uncomfortable looking position for more than a few seconds ."I'm Shiloh pleasure to meet you. This is Deluxe" . She spoke as she reached down and stroked deluxes neck as he pricked his ears hearing his name. " We ride in multiple disciplines. What disciplines do you ride in?" She questioned tilting her head slightly as she looked over.

"That was good! Your form looks good and Wayne looks like he enjoyed it. Next we should introduce you guys to the bank up." There was a bank on the hill that wasn't tall but could pose issues for a showjumper. "Once again i'll go first." Cade took Jazz around and went to the bank at a trot. Jazz jumped up on it and cantered away, swishing his tail. Cade circled Jazz back to talk to Drake. "So normally you jump down banks but it's easier to introduce them to horses jumping up it. If you want to ride it go at it at a walk but if you want you can get off and lead him up it the first time." Cade remembered his first bank with Jazz. He had decided to stay on and walked up to it and Jazz had reared up, spun, and bucked. "It might be a little difficult to get Wayne to jump up the first couple times but keep engouriging him forward and keep him in front of your leg." Cade wasn't sure how Wayne and Drake would react to the back but it would be interesting to see.

He smiled when Cade said they'd move onto more obstacles. This cross country thing was really fun! Drake watched him ride Jazz up a bank without issue. It was small but Wayne had never seen something like it and probably wouldn't be sure what to do. Drake had never let him climb onto patios or viewing areas so he figured his horse would be a little confused. Following Cade's instructions, he walked up to the walk and let Wayne look at it. He sniffed it before taking a step back. Drake let him stand there, looking at it for another moment before urging him foward again. He stopped a step or two before the bank, but he wasn't sniffing it this time. Adding a little more leg, Drake encouraged him to jump up the bank. Wayne hopped up awkwardly, like horses do in a river when they hate water. Drake gave him a big pat on the neck and voiced his support. After a couple good boy's they walked back down, Wayne having stopped at the top.
"Maybe I'll trot it this time? He seemed a little confused stopped at the top." Drake told Cade, turning around to trot a circle. He aimed Wayne back the bank, using a little more leg than the previous attempt. As they got closer, Wayne balked, trying to exit stage left. This wasn't something Wayne had tried before, but this wasn't Drake's first horse. They awkwardly jumped it, a little bit diagonal, but Drake was happy they got up. This time they trotted away, and Wayne flipped his head snorting. Drake have his a big pat on the neck before turning back for it one more time. He sat the trot this time, driving Wayne to the obstacle. They were able to clear it in a straight line this time. It was still a bit of an awkward leap for Wayne, but that was to be expected. He cantered away proudly, looking at Cade and Jazz, almost asking if they saw it. Drake was grinning as he stopped next to Cade.
"He's so brave about these things! I think he really likes it. What do you think, do it once more or try out luck going down?" He couldn't stop smiling. He was so proud of Wayne and really enjoying this new discipline.

Cade watched Drake and Wayne make there way up the bank several times, each time better than the last. The last one was definitely the best and Wayne and Drake seemed quite proud. "That was really good for the first couple times! Wanye does definitely seems to be enjoying it. I'd say you guys are good to go down if you want but feel free to take Wayne up it a couple more times if thats what you think he needs. I'll jump it first, Jazz really likes these." Cade trotted Jazz a little bit away and circled him. He got him into a canter and made a big circle near the bank but not off it. He circled back again and headed toward the bank. Jazz's ears perked up and he confidently launched off the bank. Cade circled him a couple times to slow and calm him down and stopped by Drake. "So I would circle in front of it to make sure Wayne is listening to you and lean back a bit when he jumps off it. He might launch and overjump it the first time so be preppared for that but you guys should do great!"

Mist Chandler || 16 || Female || Angle's Dance(Angle) || M: Louis
"Nice to meet you, Louis," she said looking back up. "I am 16, and you?" She started to move toward her cabin. She felt like she had heard the name Louis before, but she couldn't place it for the life of her. Mentally shrugging she continued moving toward her cabin. She pulled her light jacket a little tighter around her as the wind picked up reminding her quite firmly that it was autumn. "Have you met your partner yet?" Mist finally asked when the silence got too much for her. Even on the days that she would rather not talk to anyone, she would inevitably start up a conversation because the silence was worse. The only person she could ever really have a comfortable silence with was her sister. If she was actually doing something then it was easier to not end up asking a question to break the silence. And a good book would just fully teleport her to a different reality, one where she didn't need to talk to anyone she didn't want to. Looking around she saw that they were almost at the door to her cabin, and Louis was still with her. Was he just walking her to her cabin? What was going on?
