Ruth Carling | 20 | F | Dancing Haze (Haze) | Mentions; Wisteria, Open . Ruth nodded her head agreeing, Standing up she collected her dishes. "Shall we meet up near an open arena later on and try making a start?" She asked knowing she still had to give Haze a clean up, After the agreement Ruth made her way over to the sink washing her dishes and neatly putting them away. With a stretch for sitting down too long she made her way outside . Met with the chilly breeze she groaned and headed for her cabin, She needed to put the envelope away and unpack some stuff. She was probably the last one to actually crack onto settling in, Unlocking the door and stepping in she noticed she'd left the bathroom light on by accident and scowled to herself as she quickly turned it off. "Alright" She sighed opening her suitcase and starting on packing her things away into their respective spots

Earl K. Aurelius || Male || 20 || Viridian's Glorious Vigil (Valiant) || Mentions: Shiloh Earl nodded, listening intently to her words as he let Valiant take the lead along the trail, trusting the stallion not to suddenly spook or lag behind the red roan, who he learned was named Deluxe. "He's a beautiful horse." Earl said, looking at the studs patterns and build more closely. Truly, some of his favorite horse coats dictated bays and chestnuts, hence why he had gotten Valiant. "That's awesome!" Earl grinned, interested in hearing more about what kind she did and how much she had been doing one or the other. If some overlapped, maybe they could share tips or something of the sort. They knew they had more than a few stories to share about trying to teach Valiant Western Dressage. "I've tried quite a few western disciplines, but I eventually chose to just focus on Ranch Sorting. Valiant was what they considered a 'cowy' horse anyways." He said, briefly looking away from her to get Valiant back on the path when it seemed he wanted to stray a little too far to the right, the temptation of just grazing off the path easy for a horse to take. "What disciplines have been your favorite?" Earl asked, keeping the trail in his peripheral vision so they wouldn't slowly inch away again.

Wisteria Lee || 17 || Female || Take a Little Chance(Chance) || M: Ruth "See you soon." Wisteria got up and went to Barn C and grabbed Chance's halter. Walking up to his stall she saw that he had managed to get himself dirty, again. Opening the stall door she slipped inside and gave Chance a kiss on his nose. Then she slipped the lead rope around his neck and put the halter on his face. Grabbing the lead rope she took him to the crossties and put him in the nearest set. With that done she went to grab her grooming supplies and got to work. She never knew how he managed to get so dirty. She would understand if he was light-collared, but no, he was a bay. "What dark magic are you using boy, and in your stall too?" Sighing she got his coat all brushed out and went to grab his tack. She debated grabbing his breast collar, but she didn't think they would need it given that they were starting slow and probably wouldn't be doing anything too advanced. She tacked Chance up, using her plain black pad today. There was no reason to get her show tack out for what they would be doing today. Finally, she put his bridle on and headed out to the outdoor arena.

Shiloh Clearking || 19 || F || WW Deluxe Glowin Cowboy Crush(Deluxe Crush) || Mentions: Earl - Shiloh looked down at deluxe and nodded "He's definitely a pretty boy and he knows it too" she smiled patting Deluxe as he turned his head to nudge her foot.As they wandered down the trail she turned to Earl looking at Valient "Valient is absolutely stunning" she smiled looking at the gorgeous bay stallion. As they continued the ride and their conversation she heard Earl mention Western dressage. She had heard of that somewhere and remembered it looking really fun to try out. "I've never tried western dressage but it sounds fun!" She spoke imagining it in her head . Shiloh looked around at the scenery enjoying it so far. She looked back at Earl as he began to ask about her favorite disciplines .She took a minute sifting through all the different things she had done. "So far I seem to favor the timed events and anything with cattle" She laughed quietly slightly anxious. They continued walking the trail as the sun gleamed down making the scenery around her look like it was from a storybook. Edited at August 19, 2023 11:22 PM by Hot Heifer Ranch

Ruth Carling | 20 | F | Dancing Haze (Haze) | Mentions; Haze, Open . Seeing the time Ruth once again left her stuff how it was and fished out her riding helmet, While she remembered she grabbed a jacket and put that on before she stepped outside. Helmet in her hand and her phone in her pocket Ruth hastily walked over to barn B, Walking in she set her helmet aside and picked up her grooming tack and Haze's halter/lead from the tack room first. . Peering down the isle she could see a palomino head sticking out of his stall and retreating once he saw her, Sighing she walked in his direction. Coming upon the stall the first she saw was his muscled backside as he turned his head giving her side-eye, Opening the stall door she ran her hand across from his rump to his withers, "Hey" She spoke in a soft tone "We have some work to do". A pat along his nose she took the chance and slid the halter onto his face and over his ears, Fixing up his forelock once the halter was clipped she began leading the stallion out. . Out and in the isle she watched as he looked around before bellowing out calling for any other horse nearby, "Goodness Haze" Ruth winced at the loud noise in a covered area "Could you be any louder" She chuckled as they walked towards the cross ties. Clipped in she went back and picked up the grooming tack she'd gotten out of the tack room, Finally getting a good look at him it wasn't too bad but the mane definitely needed taming. . Using the hard brush she started with getting any staining out on his palomino coat, Switching to soft she dusted off his back, neck, sides then legs. Dreading it but she had to Ruth grabbed the brushed and started brushing out his mane, She was there for a good ten minutes brushing it out before she sprayed it and braided it up into a nice button braid. . Haze was getting a bit impatient pawing the ground and trying to bite the cross ties, "Just a bit longer" Ruth huffed moving to his tail. Wanting him to look his best she braided the top half of his tail, "okay" she huffed "That's the first part done". Ruth gave the stallion a pat on the neck as he stood there not looking too happy, Ruth packed up all of his grooming items and was on her way back to the tack room. . Swapping the grooming box for Haze's Saddle and saddle pad, The saddle already had his girth attached and she'd decided on his white colored pad. "Alright lets get this on and head out", Adjusting his pad on his back she swung his saddle up and onto his back. She glanced over at him as he shifted his weight but continued to adjust his saddle, Doing up his girth she let him sit with that while she grabbed his bridle from the tack room. . Coming back sure enough he'd let the air out that he was holding in and she had to tighten it some more so Wisteria or herself didn't go flying as soon as they mounted, Undoing his halter she slipped the bridle on. Using her hand to cover the bit she slipped it in so it wouldn't hit his teeth along the way, Doing it up she watched as he chomped a couple times but eventually settled with it. Putting his stuff aside for when she came back to untack she grabbed her Helmet . Helmet on and pulling his reins in front of him she began walking out of barn B and heading out to find Wisteria Edited at August 19, 2023 11:44 PM by Moonland And Elites

Drake Vaughan | 18 | Male | Weezy Outta Here (Wayne) - Drake watched Cade and Jazz jump off the bank, Jazz definitely enjoyed the bank. Once Cade was finshed, Drake urged Wayne to a trot, sending him over to the bank. They trotted a circle near the edge before they cantered. After cantering a circle in the same spot, Drake turned Wayne to jump off the bank. Wayne wavered a bit, but stayed on track before launching off. It was more than a little bit of an over jump, but Drake was very happy that his horse was feeling confident. After landing they cantered another circle before jumping back up the bank, Wayne feeling much more comfortable than the first times they'd done it. Turning around at the top of the bank the pair jumped back down. Wayne was feeling more confident and comfortable every time they jumped. He had Wayne jump up and down the bank two more times, feeling better every time. He trotted over to Cade, pulling his horse to a halt. He was smiling when he started speaking, "He feels amazing! We're both lucky he likes this so much. I'm a little worried for water jumps. He jumps the open water and liverpools without an issue these days but he doesn't love walking into ponds and jumping in water will probably not go over so well. What do you think we should next?"

Cade |:| 17 |:| Male |:| Jazz Town (Jazz/Jazzy) |:| M : Drake - Cade watched Drake and Wayne go off the bank several times. The first time Wayne overjumped but Drake sat it well and stayed on. They did it more and Wayne and Drake seemed confident at the end. Cade was proud of Drake and Wayne, learning cross country wasn't easy. It took a good conection between horse and rider to do cross country so it really showed how well they connected. Drake trotted over to Cade and stopped Wayne. Drake told him about how he was nervous for water jumps. "That was great! Your right we are lucky Wayne likes this, its hard to force a horse to do cross country. If you want we could work on water jumps, its a bit of an issue for me too. If you want to put that off we could do more log jumps or work on ditches or combinations. It's really up to you and Wayne." Cade never liked water jumps and had barley done them on Jazz. It would be nice to work on water jumps and try and gain confidence but ditches or combos could also be interesting.

Darren Lee Greyson | 28 | M | Ignited Sage (Sage) & Dun Been Cursed (Ciel/Lease) | Mentions; Sage, Open . Finishing up their grooming session Darren was loading the mare up with some carrots, He did debate taking her for a quick ten minute ride but he ended up deciding not. She was looking stiff leading her earlier so it was safe to assume she was unrideable for the rest of the season really if he didn't want to cause her too much discomfort, "Alright lets get you out there" He smiled as he undid her lead rope. . Leading her away from the post they were headed for the pastures, The mare walked a bit behind him as they trod along the path. Coming to a halt at the gate he let her and himself in before undoing her halter and taking it off, She stayed around for some pats but once he'd left for the stable she lowered her head walking further in and grazing.

Peter Nevernight || Male || 37 || At the Firelight (Desti) || Mentions: Cindy Peter hummed as he walked out of the main house, having finished cleaning the rest of the food and putting the dishes away. It was pleasant weather, warm enough to Peter that he didn't consider it necessary to wear a jacket. He planned to visit Desti today, in hopes the mare would be a bit more peppy than she was yesterday. Cindy would hopefully be coming soon, though he couldn't really remember if he ever messaged her back. Just in case, he opened his phone and clicked Cindy's number, letting it go to voicemail before speaking. "Hey Cindy, this is Peter. Would you be able to come before lunch? Afterwards is fine, I just need an estimation so we can coordinate." Barn B was only a few steps ahead of him now, the doors open as a sign that riders were already out with their horses or Adelle or Luvaine at least checked on them today already. The way to her stall was memorized like the back of his hand, the 41st stall that would be to his left as soon as he turned down the isle. Already, he could see her head poking out the stall door, whinnying a little when she noticed him approaching and backing up to allow him to enter. Peter reached up to stroke her, saying his hello and running his fingers through her slightly tangled mane. Desti stood patiently, munching on a little bit of hay she grabbed before he arrived. Her weight was leaned mostly on her right which caused him some concern yesterday, and the same still went. Peter was hesitant to ride her or take her out to pasture without confirmation whether it was something he should be concerned about or not. Best case she was fine, worst case she had sprained something somehow. Peter pat her on the neck and said his goodbyes before finally leaving, seeing if there was any work he could do elsewhere while he waited for Cindy. Edited at August 20, 2023 12:51 AM by Ink Splash

Luvaine Pride || Male || 23 || Call in the Cavalier (Chant) || Mentions: Adelle (indirectly) Luvaine leaned against the wall of Barn C, glancing down the isle occasionally to see if anyone came from the far side or suddenly needed assistance. He had gone through the barn already, refilling the water for all the horses and giving them hay if they needed some. The stalls looked relatively clean, though he would need to give them a better check as previously Luvaine had only given them a quick glance. No doubt at least one would be mucked out today, if not someone else's horse than Chant's. Maybe he would be able to do some groundwork later in a round pen, the Thoroughbred always seeming to appreciate it. He was hesitant to go down to the cross country courses, as there was no doubt someone was probably there or going to be there, and the thought of someone watching him made Luvaine slightly uncomfortable. Trail rides were also a no go, as if he was needed then it would take a while for him to rush back, and it would be hard to find him in general. Groundwork would be nice, Chant could get some energy out, and they could bond a little bit. For now, however, he would move to Barn A to see if Adelle was around or someone needed some help with something.
