Earl laughed a little, patting Valiant on the neck. "I'm sure Valiant appreciates the compliment." As of sensing the attention shift over to him, the stallion huffed a little, his ears turning back and to the left to catch their voices better as his name was called. "Bay and chestnut horses are beautiful to me, so I got Valiant." Another snort, the sound of two sets of hooves hitting the path filled the small sections of silence between them, the wind able to accompany. "Oh, it was definitely interesting." Earl laughed, remembering trying to get Valiant to complete some of the moves and experiencing them end up in horrible failure and success. "Sometimes Valiant would just stop wherever he was standing because I confused him." Entertaining, but not something Earl would have enough dedication and focus for if he decided to train in Western Dressage. "Oh, really? Is it safe for me to assume you know a thing or two about Ranch Sorting then?" Earl asked, interested in where the topic was potentially headed. Valiant huffed from under him, almost like sighing in exasperation as they trodded along. Earl thought for a moment before asking her something, knowing his stallion was getting a little restless. "Want to have a small race?" He asked, patting the bay to reassure him. Even if she declined they would have no hard feelings towards her, maybe a trot would be fine too.

Drake was so pleased Wayne was enjoying cross country so much! He listened to Cade, glad Cade thought he was doing well. He was a little worried it looked messy to him. Water jumps or ditches or combinations. What a fun question. Ditches would be the most similar to the bank Drake thought to himself. Water would, without a doubt, pose the largest issue. Maybe that would be a good one to ease into, maybe not on day one and overwhelm Wayne. He figured combinations would be Wayne's favorite but that could wait for another day. Drake wasn't quite sure what to expect with ditches, he'd only ever seen cross country on tv. Wayne was pretty brave so maybe he wouldn't mind ditches too much considering he'd been pretty great about the bank.

"I think we should do ditches next if you don't mind. I don't want to overwhelm Wayne. I think they'd be the most similar to banks, and he didn't seem to mind those at all. Just keep it all on the page for day one?" Drake said, turing to face the other rider. Jazz and Wayne seemed to be enjoying the fall weather and it was very pleasant for riding.

Cade smiled at Drake. "Sure! That sounds like a good idea, keeping it all on the same page. I think I saw a ditch over there, its a bit of a walk though." Cade and Drake walked over to the ditch. They rode in comfortable silence, admiring the beautiful autumn day. It wasn't too hot or too cold, it was a nice cool tempature. When they got there Cade rode Jazz over to the ditch and let him look inside. "It's up to you but I think you should let Wayne look at the ditch. He's a very confident horse and I don't doubt that he would jump over it with no thought but better safe than sorry." Cade gave Jazz a pat on the neck and trotted him away. He cantered back and Jazz jumped over the ditch, slightly side eyeing it as he went over. Cade slowed Jazz down and walked over to Drake and Wayne. "Sorry about that, Jazz still isn't sure about the ditches." Cade began to scratch Jazz's neck. "Good boy Jazzy, the ditch isn't going to hurt you." Cade then looked at Drake and Wayne. "Alright, your turn!"

Shiloh nodded as he spoke. "We know a thing or two about ranch sorting." She smiled looking down at the red roan who was looking at her through the corner of his eye. "We might be a bit rusty though since We've been mostly focused on the rodeoing events" She had frowned a bit as she said that wishing she had went to the latest competition she heard about.

The breeze had picked up here and there occasionally blowing her black hair towards her face as she scrambled to move it. They continued down the trail taking in the gorgeous fall scenery around them. Earl had then asked her if she would like to race sounding a bit..hesitant at least in her opinion. She looked at Deluxe who was eyeing her anticipating that she was going to ask him to do something and then smiled brightly. "Sure! I mean if you can keep up" She chirped excitingly. She then gave Deluxe his head and kicked as he lunged forward stretching completly out with each stride as they took off at gallop kicking up dust and bits of decaying leaves into the air.

Once they got outside of the barn, Wisteria mounted up and headed for the outdoor arena. She warmed up Chance on the rail, and as they moved through their warm-up all her stress about being in a new place faded away and a genuine smile split her face. Then she walked Chance to the center of the arena and started Pattern 2. There were 15 patterns and she had completed all of them. Pattern 2 was relatively simple and she and Chance often used it as a warm-up. She took a deep breath and qued the opening circle. This one was to the right, and small. Then came the big circles on that side. Flying lead-change in the center and they were on the other side once again going small than two large circles. Then came another flying lead change and she got in position for the next maneuver. Down the arena, they flew, though not as fast as they would have if they were competing. Then a left rollback and down the other way into a right rollback. Then a sliding stop just past the center and then she backed it up to the center. Pause a moment to breathe, then spins to the right pause a moment to breath and they were off to the left. Then they were done. Wisteria looked around to see if she could spot Ruth, but there was no such luck. We never said which arena did we. With that in mind she headed to the indoor arena, where she found Ruth warming up a very pretty palimino stalion.

He matched the younger blonde’s step with ease. With the severe height difference, looking down at her only revealed the top of her head, so he opted to observe the rest of the estate. When he had first arrived, the low light conditions had not been favourable to exploration.

The breeze becoming stronger, he was well tempted to have a moment to just stand and enjoy it. Coming here, he had found it to be much warmer than back home. He was even starting to miss the miserably gray weather. Without warning, a voice piped up – interesting. She didn’t like to talk, and yet, was the first to strike the silence. How bizarre. “Well, you could say that I’ve met them. She was a bit preoccupied the first time I saw her.” The temptation to smirk was rather overwhelming. He probably should feel a tad bit terrible for not being forthright with her, but he wasn’t exactly the kind of person who ever feels bad.

The pair were now tantalisingly close to their cabin; how to introduce himself as her cabinmate? Got it. When they were a couple of feet from the door, he motioned her to stop. “Wait here.” Briskly, he made a quick set of hops to the door and it, shutting it firmly behind him. Putting on the most serious face he could, he opened the door, pretending to be looking at something on his phone. The brunet lifted his head up, his green eyes meeting her blue ones. He pulled a look of pleasant surprise and shock, and swung the door open wider.

“Should I ask if you want to come in, or should I say welcome home, partner?”

Within moments, the act fell right off his face, and he burst out into a fit of amused laughter.

"Are you telling me that I slept through a person moving into my cabin? How did that— Wait, I know. Maya." She shook her head with a sort of resigned smile. Then she muttered to herself "That girl made sure that I could sleep through anything." She chuckled and stepped inside. Looking at the side of the room she had not claimed she saw that there was indeed evidence that someone else had moved in. She had been too preoccupied with being in a new space to even look at the other side of the room that morning as she had been getting ready. She had been quiet out of habit. Her twin was not a morning person and hated to wake up early so Mist had just learned to not wake her up rather than deal with grouchy Maya. "Well since I now know you are my partner, let me introduce myself again. My name is Mist Chandler. I do dressage and it appears that you are my partner." She plopped down on her bed and looked at the wall close enough to Louis's head that he would probably think she was looking at him "So what discipline will I be learning?"

Earl let out a startled laugh when he saw Shiloh and Deluxe bolt down the path at rather impressive speeds before he himself went in pursuit of them, shortening his reins and pushing his leg back to let Valiant know he needed to go fast and right this instant. The stallion lurched forward a little bit, taking off after them as the wind clawed at his hair and clothes, dirt and leaves kicking up like a small storm from behind them similarly to Shiloh and her horse. "You pulled a fast one!" Earl shouted over the wind, not even caring if she was able to hear him or not with how much the wind howled around them. Valiant seemed to be enjoying himself, flying across the ground as trees and other wildlife flew past them in incomprehensible blurs. While Earl did get close to the pair, they were far from catching up to them, inching slowly closer in what was in comparison, very slow. It was then that Earl remembered they never established when to actually stop. They laughed a little, partly out of the adrenaline the gallop was giving them, and the other part out of joy and a tiny bit of fear. No matter, they reasoned, watching the path stretch almost endlessly far before them. Valiant huffed, breaths almost synced to the rhythm his hooves were making against the pathway, each foot landing with a resounding thump. "Let's stop at the bending trees in the distance!" He called, hoping she would know what he meant as they swiftly approached a pair of trees on different sides of the path from one another, bent inwards like making an archway. Earl kicked a little, urging Valiant to try and go faster as the trees came steadily closer.

In sync with the rising of Haze's floaty feeling trot she enjoyed the feeling, Coming to a corner she stopped posting and cued on and the stallion who began a half-pass. Tail flicking Haze crossed over his legs as he half-passed across the indoor arena, Ruth spotted Wisteria from the corner of her eye so once they'd finished the half-pass she cued Haze to continue their seated trot around the arena.

Slowing down she let Haze extend his neck and relax, Ruth believed Haze was sufficiently warmed up enough for Wisteria. Coming to a halt short before the girl Ruth noticed the horse with her, She looked over the horse. First thing she'd noticed was the height and it made her worry if it could withstand her riding it, Ruth stopped her train of thought and greeted Wisteria with a wave. "Hey" She grinned, "Did you want to start off with Haze?" She asked wanting to work out how they were going to do things. Taking her right foot out of the stirrup Ruth began dismounting the 16 hand stallion
