The people of the Archipelago are the toughest in the world. They choose to tame dragons to hunt for them instead of dogs and to carry them around instead of horses. The dragons speak an ancient complex language called Serpent Tongue. Only a few humans are able to speak this fascinating language. Suddenly, everything changes. The dragons are turning against their owners, tired of being ridden and doing everything for the humans. The humans retaliate by building dragon traps and capturing them, keeping them in specially constructed Dragon Prisons until they calm down. A couple dragons are unsure what to do, staying neutral. A couple more dragons decide to stay with their owners, thinking of how they fed and cared for them. Are you going to be a dragon-whisperer, able to speak Serpent Tongue? Or will you be a dragon rustler, catching gone-rogue dragons and putting them in Dragon Prisons? ~

→D R A G O N S ← Hunting Dragons Two hunting dragons per dragon-tamer max. | Common Garden | Perhaps the most common of dragon species, the Common Garden dragons are the easiest to train and make wonderful family pets. Although, as with a tiger or a cheetah, you should never leave them alone with very young children. They are decent hunters, although some are much too small to bring down reindeer. They can be the size of a Yorkshire terrier or as big as an arctic seal. They come in brilliant emerald green, all shades of brown, and all shades of yellow. | | Mood Dragon | Mood Dragons are perhaps the most unique of all dragons, as their color changes depending on their mood. They are most like Eastern Dragons and have a venomous bite, although their venom does not affect humans or anything larger than them. They turn a deep reddish-black when angry, a sunshine-yellow when excited, and a pooey-green when disgusted. They grow to the size of a harbor seal. | | Terrors | Terrors are roughly the size of locusts. They make up for their size by having a deadly, venomous bite and scratch. They have tails almost like scorpions filled with venom that rivals a cotton-mouth snake. They come in all colors, most commonly a poisonous green. | | Sniffer | Sniffers have large, sensitive nostrils and are used for tracking, like bloodhounds. They have six legs and have sharp fangs. They are poor hunters but fight decently. They come in flame-red and all shades of green. They are the size of shih tzus. | | Dwarf Lightning Runner | Dwarf Lightning Runners are almost exactly like the regular Lightning Runner, except smaller. They are roughly the size of German shepherds and come in all shades of yellow, deep purple, and transparent. | | Frill Wyrm | Frill Wyrms are basically just snakes with wings and spikes studding across their back, tail, and snout. They are extremely strong, much like a boa constrictor. They are decent hunters, able to block off their prey's air supply. A unique trait of the Frill Wyrm is a set of two small frills, called ruffs, that can fold open and closed. When their ruff is open, it is usually a sign of aggression. They can also set themselves on fire. Frill Wyrms grow from the size of a garter snake to the size of an anaconda. They come in all snake colors and all snake patterns. | | Stingers | Stingers resemble small velociraptors. They are vicious when hunting in packs, and some varities have feathers. All varities have a crest on their head. They have no wings, but are experts in mountain climbing and jumping. Their tail-tip delivers a type of venom that paralyzes their prey. They spread their wings and windsurf on their bellies. They can reach extradinary speeds doing this. They do not breathe fire, instead exhale a deadly ice-breath. They are roughly the size of a Welsh pony. They come in snow-white, glacier blue, and other colors of the North and South poles. | | Polar Dragons | Polar dragons have are the size of dire wolves. Built like a smilodon, they have weak, average-sized wings. Polar Dragons also have two large front canine teeth that resemble a sabre-toothed tiger's. They are so heavy that they cannot fly for very long, instead, they prefer running across the ground. They run at the speed of a cheetah and were often used to pull sleds during the winter. Instead of entirely scales, Polar Dragons have a unique mix of shaggy fur and scales. They come in silver and snow-white. | | Tidalwings | Tidalwings are a deep, cobalt blue. Instead of breathing fire, they can hold up to 4 tons of saltwater in their mouth and spray it out in an alarming speed. They have unique webbed talons and have the fascinating ability to turn off their lungs, drawing oxygen from their gills. Could I do a character that kinda hangs with the rogue dragons in the forest, and tries to free them from traps and whatnot? He would speak the dragon language and try and keep away from other humans as much as possible. If not, that's totally ok! |

Sage hunts for himself and Fire Storm hunts for herself, so no hunting dragons are needed. Sage wears a mask crafted from wood and paints made from plants, so no other human knows much about him since he comes and goes quickly (he has fought with the dragon tamers and trappers so they know he's a good fighter but don't know much else since he's so secretive). He lives in the woods and moves from place to place - he has no home other than the wild. His weapon is a small dagger he has with him at all times that he made himself. I am putting this in here so other players don't have to pm me about it - if they want to fight him or capture him if they find him setting dragons free go ahead! He's seen as a criminal to the rest of the people in the rp, so they are looking for him to find him and stop him. No need to ask, I already am ok with all of it! You can pm me with details for the fight if you wish though - hes a good way to kill off a character and what not :) |
