~ Background ~ Hidden in the heart of rural lands lies Golden Satchel Stables. Golden Satchel Stables is well known for its talented and hardworking team of riders and employees. The Golden Satchel Team has had hundreds of years to breed talented horses, train talented riders, and make its name as the birthplace of talent. Now, Golden Satchel Stables is expanding its program with new facilities. Newcomers are flocking to start their journey, and advanced riders are finally getting their spot on the team. ~ Plot Info ~ Other than the beginning setting and general direction of the story as a whole, which will be explained below, I will be giving each person creative freedom to choose any plot for their characters that they want. I would also like to point out that I am using 'team' as an umbrella term for all the people who work/live together at Golden Satchel Stables. ~ Golden Satchel Stables is a large equestrian center that is known to work with many talented riders and own a large selection of talented horses. The Golden Satchel Team has extended their program, allowing for openings on the team and for boarding. Advanced riders are teaming up as instructors, and new riders are getting a chance to learn from the best. Your character is a new addition to the team. ~ Roles I didn't want to have a ton of roles that don't get filled, so I only have a few listed, but if there is a role you want but don't see, PM me and I can make a few changes. I won't be making a maximum amount of characters per role, but if the gender ratio gets too unbalanced, I might only allow characters of a certain gender. 'Advanced Riders' are riders that will lead the lessons, and 'Learning Riders' are riders of any skill level that are in the lessons. If your character rides in multiple disciplines, then they may have a different rider status for each discipline. The Horses ~ The Golden Satchel Team bred a fine selection of horses during those hundreds of years. The horses are a private breed, varying in size, coloration, and build. The only similarities are their respective destinies for greatness. Some characters may have been assigned a Golden Satchel horse to ride with, or may have boarded their own. Each character is limited to two horses(I am fexible on this, hence why it is not in the rules). No outrageously misbehaving, untrainable, or perfect horses. If your horse character is a Golden Satchel horse, then they start the RP in their stall. Rules ~ 1. No perfect characters ~ 2. All HEE rules, of course ~ 3. Don't do anything to a person's character without their permission ~ 4. Be active; please at least post 1-2 times a week. Reply length should have a minimum of 50 words. If you are unable to comply with this rule for a period of time, please PM me in advance and you will be excused ~ 5. No god modding ~ 6. If you are confused or have any questions, please PM me or just get in contact ~ 7. Please keep your characters within the age limits, the age range is 18-35 years old ~ 8. Do not only use an image for the appearance section of the sign-up sheets ~ 9. While I will not put a limit on the number of characters a person can make, do not be irresponsible and make more characters than you can handle. ~ 10. You are allowed to have just human or just horse characters, but please collaborate with someone else so that there are no riders without horses (or vice versa) ~ Buildings There is also a map in the discussion thread, but here is a description of the structures that make up Golden Satchel Stables. ~ Housing Each human character is assigned a cozy cabin. Unless a large number of people join, each cabin will house two characters. Each cabin is equipped with two beds and one bathroom. All the cabins have heating and air conditioning. ~
Pastures
~
6 luscious pastures offer plenty of space and grazing for the lucky equine inhabitants. The pasture system allows for horses to be separated if needed to ensure a safe and happy turnout. In case of illness, there are also two quarantine pastures. ~
Common Areas ~
At Golden Satchel Stables, team members share many areas. This includes the dining hall and the community showers. As such, the dining hall serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner and has fresh produce available at all times. The community showers have a setup much like a luxurious locker room. The way the community showers are divided, there is a building for girls and a seperate building for boys. In each community shower building, there is a large stock of soaps and other hygiene products. ~ Barns ~ There are three 20-stall barns that are mostly occupied by the horses and team members who were on the team before the expansion. If a character's horse(s) belong to Golden Satchel Stables then they will reside there. As a part of the expansion, a new 50-stall barn was built. This is where boarded horses will be kept. ~ Arenas ~ Golden Satchel Stables has 4 outdoor arenas and 5 indoor arenas. In these arenas, everything from daily training to high-stakes competitions with visiting riders takes place. These are the places where riders are given the chance to not only show off their skills to team members to other stables. |
