Hello! I’m Beepers/Wildflower. I’m still quite new to HEE roleplays, so please keep that in mind. If you’ve got any tips, tell me! Rules -
All HEE rules apply. Please respect them :) -
Post at least 1-2 times a week once we start. If you need a break or anything, PM me and I’ll make sure I write that down. After two weeks of inactivity without notice, I will PM you. If you do not respond, your role will be offered up to be taken by someone else. *If you would like to rejoin, I will offer any untaken spots. -
When we start, please have a minimum of 80-100 words. As time progresses, it would be appreciated if you would increase word count, but not required. *If you feel stuck/have writer's block, don’t worry. Either PM me or state something in discussion. No one’s judging you ^^ -
Drama between characters should be kept inside the role. It should not get between people. Do not fight each other outside of the roleplay, in the discussion forum, or chat, please. While I am fine with someone commenting on in-role shenanigans, it should not be rude or said to start drama. -
This is not a fantasy role. Please do not use magic. -
You can have two characters. If you would like to change characters or retire one of them, then there are a few options: -
They die. If you would like it to be dramatic, just make sure it's fine with everyone. -
They are captured by humans and are trained, and you choose not to use them anymore. -
They simply disappear. -
If you have an idea, just offer it up and I’ll review it :) -
If you and another person get into a fight in the roleplay (ex: a bachelor vs another stallion), you are allowed to dodge. However, be respectful and realize that it's just not realistic to never get hit. -
You and the other person can talk about injuries or other issues that occur to your character. -
On that note, if you and another person agree that the fight ends in death, make sure I know so that I can update the character list. -
Any romance themes should be kept PG-13 and follow along with the HEE rules. If you would like to NPC a foal (or make it one of your characters) do NOT make anything explicit, and both people have to agree. (Hey! You should put ‘bananas’ somewhere in your application so I know you got this far! ^^) IMPORTANT: For everything in the following, you must PM me and anyone it applies to. If it is a large range of players, you may confirm in the forum instead. If this gets too chaotic or no one follows the rules listed, I will spin a wheel on how it goes down. If it continues to be a problem, bachelors will NOT be allowed to take mares. If you play as a bachelor, you cannot take the entire herd at once unless the stallion agrees. If he does not, your attempt is unsuccessful, and you may not immediately try again. Mares can choose whether they stay with the original stallion or the new lead should they switch roles. They may also freely move and interact with other horses, herds, and stallions, although each character can react to that how they like. You can simply chase off or two mares to join you if the stallion and mare(s) agree. I will add them onto the bachelor’s bio in the character list. (EXAMPLE: Stallion 1 (+ two mares from NH, Mare 1 and Mare 2)) Although some bachelors will off foals that are not their own, you may not do this unless the foal is an npc AND the original owner allows it. If I find this gets out of hand, I will not allow it to happen.

Welcome to the world of Altariel (yes, I used a generator. If you have another name option please tell me lol) A land sprawling with diverse landscapes, creatures, and stories. Some of the most common creatures you’ll meet are: Horses/Donkeys/Mules Wolves/Coyotes/Foxes Mtn. Lions/Bobcats/other felines Birds of Prey Snakes Humans Etc! Once a prosperous place, much of the wilderness has become a dry, desperate territory due to a constant drought. While there are areas with plenty of food and water, they are fading away, leaving the animals at heads with each other. To make matters worse, humans, originally having found and settled the west island, have begun to spread along the mainland. They leave little in their wake, often taking horses and other creatures for themselves. There are three main herds on the island: the Northern, having the northeast section of the mainland, the Southern, having most of the southern lands and a large island off the coast, and the Western, having most of the west and northwest territories. They are the most affected by the human’s invasion, although the other herds feel the effects as well. The biomes, from middle to edge, are: White - Snow Dark Green - Taiga Yellowy Green - Grassland Yellow - Arid/Desert Bright/Lightest Green - Deciduous Forest Grey Green + Second Lightest Green - Wetlands and Coastline (Brown is areas of cold and high altitude that are not part of the main mtn range) I will update the map shortly. Character Sign Up Form: Name: Coyote Age: 4 years, 3 months Gender: Mare | Female Appearance: Standing around 14.1hh, with a lean, scruffy body, Coyote probably best suits the ‘wild’ look. She took on her sire’s finer boned conformation, but retained her dam’s smaller size, deep chest, and strong legs. She’s certainly not the slowest of the bunch, but is able to go for long distances at a faster pace. However, she is not the smoothest horse, and tends to move a bit like a fish, with a swaying, jerky motion. Her mane and tail are short and coarse, with clean legs and a near-perpetually dirty coat. Temperament: Coyote certainly fits her name, often interpreted to mean ‘clever’ or ‘trickster’. She’s known to bluff charge or snap at others, especially when agitated, but quickly runs away before she gets too much of a reprimand. Perhaps it’s like a game to her, or she enjoys the rush of it. Whatever the reason, she’s not very high in the herd hierarchy, and she uses her position how she pleases. (She will actually strike if pushed far enough, but that takes a bit.) | When she’s not being an irritant to others, she’s often playful and excitable, easily getting ahead of herself. It's easy to distract Coyote, which can make her a bit spookier than normal. Background story: Initially born in a remote section of the NH’s territory, she was chased out by a stallion when she was 3. She wandered into WH’s territory and followed some horses around until they decided that she was allowed to stay, although she’s constantly afraid they’ll chase her away. | Despite her fear of being unwelcome, Coyote enjoys wandering around the territory. She'll usually turn tail and flee whenever she gets caught, but sometimes her curiosity wins out. Lineage: N/A Any Other Info: You are allowed to retaliate freely against her approaches, you just cannot one shot her. Please :’) Herd AND Role: Western Herd, Herd Mare 1 Edited at July 8, 2024 01:02 PM by Kuewi knn stable

Character Sign Up Form: Name: Luna Age: 6 Gender: Mare Appearance: Luna is a Bay Tobiano Oldenburg x Mustang cross with a small-ish star on her face, she would have bright green eyes. The mare would have a build of a oldenburg from her sire's side but the confirmation of a mustang from her dam's side. There would be a few patches of bay on her whole face/mid top part of her neck/ears, both of her sides, front of her neck + her chest, and almost fully both sides of her hindquarters while she'll be mostly white overall on her neck, body, and all four of her legs since her hooves are a light color. Her mane and tail would both be black but her hair would be quite long since she's been out in the wild for so long. She stands proudly at 16.2hhs while weighing around at 1,700 pounds. Temperament: Luna is a quiet mare but she tends to find herself in social conversations with the other herd mares. Even though she's friendly, she isn't afraid to speak her mind even though she chooses her words carefully, depending on the situation that she's in. The mare can be quite kind to anyone that she meets but when push comes to shove, she'll let you know when enough is enough. Luna can get quite skittish at times even though this trait of hers has gotten her out of some dangerous situations like predators for example. Background story: Luna was born on the range a few months ago when her dam escaped from a breeding facility that was caught in a blaze. She had been raised by her dam since foal hood but she never really got to meet her sire since he didn't make it when the barn, that her mother escaped from, was on fire. When she reached yearling hood, her mother was killed by a mountain lion the moment when she was told to run, she was also taught to never look back as it would only slow her down in the end. Lineage: Sire: Neptune | A Dark Grey Oldenburg Horse | Domesticated Horse Dam: Astrid | A Black Mustang Horse | Escaped Wild Horse Any Other Info: She is afraid of Bachelor stallions, almost got taken away from the herd when she was a yearling Herd AND Role: Western Herd, Herd Mare 5 Edited at July 6, 2024 10:55 PM by Aspen Fire ES

Name: Lucifer Age: 6 Gender: stallion Appearance: Lucifer is a nice stocky kind. He is strong and a good runner. He has a nice shiny coat and has nice gaits he has blue eyes that look purple. He is a warmblood cross quater horse. Temperament: Lucifer is a kind horse even though he sometimes seems mean. He is verry protective of those he cares about. He usually lees to himself but usually says what no one else would, this gets him into trouble a lot. He is an outgoing stallion and gets into trouble a lot. Sometimes he is very playful. T other times he won't talk or interact with anyone. Background story: Lucifer didn't have much to do with his mother. He was taken from her soon after birth and was sold to an abusive farmer Home. Lucifer lived here till he was two. The other horses on the ranch used to get hit and beaten if they made a mistake. Lucifer got hit for the first time at 6 months. The farmer hated Lucifer. One day when Lucifer was 10 months old he saw the farmer going to hit one of the elder mares that helped raise Lucifer. Lucifer stepped in the way taking the beating for the mare. This is how his protective side showed. He stepped in as much as he could. when he was one and a half. He then got taken to a stud farm where he met his father. Lucifer didn't get along with the horses at the stud farm and he ran away within a month of being there. He wandered around till he turned two then he joined the western herd and became lead stallion of the western herd when he was three. Lineage: dam (a black paint warmblood mare name unknown) Sire (blue valentine - quarter horse stud) Any Other Info: he hates talking about his past but will to get people to stop talking about it. Herd AND Role: western herd- lead stallion? Edited at July 8, 2024 01:02 PM by Kuewi knn stable

Character Sign Up Form Name: Laika Age: 5 Years 7 Months Gender: Female | Mare Appearance: Laika is a solid dappled seal bay that also carries a sooty gene, making the top portion of her body (neck, back, & hips) impressively darker than the rest of her body. Her plummage is a mixture of black and brown, giving the illure of highlights in the sunshine. It can also be noted that her tail is only half the length it's suppsed to be, due to injury. She also has some scars across her back and hindquarters that are also related. Taller than the average height for the mustang breed, Laika stands at an impressive height of 16 hands on her tippy toes. Her build is almost draft like, exhibiting a wide chest, thick strong legs, and round hips. From her constant traveling across different terrain on a regular basis, she has incredible muscle in her neck and shoulders, topline, and hind quarters. While not the fastest horse, her build allows her impressive strength. Pair that with her height and fiery temper, this mare can be just as intimidating as any stallion (if not more in some cases). With the mention of being a mixture of draft somewhere down the line, she can be described as an 'easy keeper', being able to survive for quite a while on a diet of less nutritious food items than most would be able to. Temperament: Laika wears a mask. She is cold and can be explosive due to her traumatic past. She is hardcore self critical and skeptical of others, always. This mask of hard emotions is what Laika has been conditioned to respond with when she's emotionally distressed. It's the only way in which she knows how to defend herself, aside from physical violence. Trusting is not something she allows herself to do freely as it has been shown to be the root of her troubles. Underneath, she can be quite observant and discerning. Her arguments are usually objective when it comes to situations and topics outside of stallions (There, she can't help but depict every stud as a monster), and if somehow you manage to get her to like you, she is devoted for life. (Brief) Background Story: Laika was born to a small close knit family herd in the most eastern parts of the southern herd region. She lived with her sire, dam, aunt, and a younger mare of no relations for a year and a half before her quiet life was abruptly snatched away from her. Laika had been within shouting distance of her herd near the river that ran between the lands of her home when she met a charming stranger. An older stallion, but seemed nice enough. Ultimately, he stole her from her family with brute force. The stallion was cruel and harsh. Her scarred body, proof enough of that. She was his captive for several years until she was finally able to escape him recently and run for her life. She made her way to the western herd regions, where she hides alone in the shadows, avoiding any living creature she comes across, convinced that the stallion is going to be waiting around some corner to snatch her again. Lineage: N/A Any Other Info: Given her past, she has zero tolerance for most stallions, having to work hard to gain her trust. She's one to mess with if you want drama ;) but won't be stolen away again so easily. Herd AND Role: She is a herdless mare for now, roaming the region occupied by the Western Herd
