Yes the Oxbow is good. Has anyone decided what events are going into the old mill show? - I wondered about a poll for the best youngster under 3 / best veteran at 15 which we could do this coming week if neither of you are too busy. someone has to win the beginner driving event (not me - all mine are disqualified or get time penalties in the blog) I can pad it out with PBC winning if neither of you are interested - need names of 2 horses 1driver & 1backstop per team. (not sure if that is the correct terminology.) Also have an award for triumph through adversity 1horse 1human who does not have to ride. lastly are we going to pick a date for Dressage/x-c/sj so that our blogs have the same names. I would like to put this one to bed so to speak before the next idea takes hold as butterfly brain loses info quickly & easily at the next thought cannot remember what the last thought was. :<S.

If you can set up a poll I'll have a look at some horses to enter. Are we to enter one of each per stable and then vote on it? Bronwen and Dylan do a lot of driving, so perhaps their twin daughters want to learn. Ffion and Eirlys Evans (Ffion drivng) and Romeo and Juliet two of their Orlov Trotter horses which normally pull the wedding carriage, (or did you want beginner horses too?). I don't mind about the date, I'll leave that with you both.

OK, actually that could fit quite well with the story I've just started. Though I'll need to write a couple more blogs yet to get to that point. Should be there in the next week or two though. But if we start sorting Old Mill Show, you can go ahead and write your bit, and I can catch up!! I don't have my carriage driver. She left. She was called Harriet Thomas, and built her own carriages. You can use her if you want but she'd have to belong to one of your stables. Apart from her, I don't have any carriage drivers now. I don't mind about the date either. How about a summer date? Like 3rd July? Just a radom guess. It could be a saturday. A poll is a good idea. Edited at October 2, 2020 10:59 AM by Tredon Mawr Stables

I don't mind what events we have, looking back at the 1st OM show we did there was dressage, cross country, show jumping, in-hand, carriage driving and rare breeds. If you want you can choose the events and the rest of us will follow on.

I meant the driving class to be for human beginners. It doesnt matter if the horses are beginners or not. your pair are appearing like star potential! Harriet Thomas can be an independant, although she sounds abit too experienced maybe just hasn't competed a lot & has new pair of horses. 4th July is a Saturday this year if you want to use that day for the blog. Moonacre Manor didnt join until September. (we can choose a different day to collate the info for the results) Is the rare breeds just UK as have seen some foreign ones I like the look of for sh /wb. Warlander/Murgese/kisbet-felver etc. will have to read the blog again. I can set up the poll tonight otherwise beginning of next week if you need more time & if you can send me names for youngster & veteran to follyfoot. One of both category if eligible from each stable - I might be short on veterans, Categories for OM show Hunter Trials Best Dressage went to Hunter Trials Best Showjumper Best veteran aged 15 and over Best youngster under 3 Triumph through Adversity name of human/horse & a little about why entered - wwl has deaf-autistic child with a mare. FFF not entered. MM withdrew as horse could not make journey Tanglefoot Driving Pairs competition for beginners. WWL & FFF disqualifed MM time faults Edited at October 2, 2020 01:04 PM by Moonacre Manor

Will have a look for some horses tomorrow. Are we judging for looks or something else on the poll? Any breed for the rare breeds, in fact Bronwen has just got herself a new horse after I saw them on TV the other night! How many entries for Old Mill, is it just one per catagory per stable? Tredon sorted the results last time, I think it was a combination of arena results and some from a random number generator, of course there"s an allowance for any specific results that we want for our stories, such as the withdraw and disqualifications that you have mentioned above.

with regard to the polls it is one horse per category the youngsters were more on looks - have an SSS, PES, and I think the other is an ESA. I dont think they are that rare. I wanted to use a different one but he aged up so can't veterans are a different story. just having one was a bonus. only have enough for 2 entries on this. for the rare breeds thing I am happy to go along with whatever you did last time and I'll look for some over the weekend. what breed did Bronwen get - being nosey.

Just catching up!! Harriet was actually a beginner for carriage driving by the way. She only competed in 2 competitions while at Tredon Mawr. You can use her if you want, but don't have to!! Any breed for rare breeds is fine with me too!! (I quite like the mergese too!) I don't really mind about the date. It's a fictional story so can be whenever!! I think I've been playing since year 66 but Tristan, the owner of Tredon Mawr has grown up on the stables!! It doesn't have to be exact with the day either!! Im not sure what time I'll have to play tomorrow. I may not be on til Monday now!!
