Yo Boulder so I'm assuming that since Tessa has worked for several years there, her and Eli will at least be aquatinted with one another because Eli has been there for a few months now? |

looking forward to interactions between ivie and olie! they seem like the kind of pairing who aren't competitive unless they're around each other, and like they'd be constantly daring each other to do stupid stuff. i'm sure they'll have a lot of insane adventures. :) |

@Freiheit Farms: Eli and Tessa would definitely be well acquainted as coworkers ‣ I think she would admire his work ethic, which could lead to an easy flow in getting chores done ‣ How does he react to any authority? Would he see Tessa as a leader or on the same level? Does he look around for the next task, creating a list for himself - or does he need to be given a tasklist or the next thing to do? ‣ What kind of work does he prefer/want to do? Mucking out stalls/paddocks and keeping the barn clean - or some landscaping and building maintenance? Or working more closely with the horses - cleaning stalls, turnout, feeding, grooming? ‣ Eli's character sheet personality sounds like he's aloof and offput by being close to other humans - over the past six months, has he warmed up to Tessa at all? Do they greet each other in the morning? Would they get each other coffee - or something else casual but friendly? Would they talk about things (what each other likes, or music, or family, or riding)? Does he find Tessa annoying or overbearing or strict or someone to talk with or easy to tease or find common ground or easily stressed? Do they talk about horses or training or clinicians or ways to handle horses? Do they discuss work - like what needs to happen around the farm? ‣ Does he care about his job? What does he care about? Is it the money? or his horse? or giving the horses the best care? What does he like the most about work? What does he loathe about work? Is he mindful or mindless? Oh goodness - well you totally don't have to answer all that! I'll answer any questions about/for Tessa, or Oliver, or Dr Ben that you (or anyone else) have! And you can always pm me! |

Ada and Jen are a very good match and will be my main forces in the rp but Raven and Blue will also be around. Jen and Ada had a bad accident while doing some practice for cutting the cow went under Adas hooves and before Jen could get Ada to a full stop they fell and Jen cut her eye open so I'm thinking that maybe Jen went there to help try and fix the trauma because whenever shes on Ada she gets flashbacks |

@Boulder Well, I'll go ahead and answer all the questions because I know most of those answers by heart xD - Eli doesn't really challenge any authority unless it comes to the safety of the horses, riders, or other workers. Sometimes though (especially on a bad day) he'll "forget" to do small tasks like sweeping. As far as work goes, he sets high standards for himself when it comes to punctuality. He sets time limits for everything and constantly tries to challenge himself and will become very sour when he is off his own schedule. - He would much prefer to work closer to the horses but he will do any tasks that are needed. He would also prefer to do his work alone. He finds working with others to be draining. - For he personality, you are very close. He is definitely aloof and doesn't really get close to people but he has a pretty bad attitude and really isn't pleasant to be around. So, over the past 6 months, there would be almost no breakthrough. Eli has the mindset of "I'm here to work and not make friends." so he really wouldn't talk to Tessa unless it's for work. He's pretty secretive when it comes to his personal life and what he does away from work. - On the outside, one might think that Eli hates everything about his job but he's just extremely irritable. He does love the horses and sometimes you might catch him talking to them and petting them while he's cleaning their stall. Of course he stops when someone walks by. It's the people aspect of work that he doesn't like xD I hope that answers all your questions! |

@Avenoir Acres That sounds very cool - for Ivie and Oliver! Definitely can see him getting a bit competitive with her over riding, and wanting to show off a bit. Ivie's personality is a bit contradicting so I'm not exactly sure how they'll be on the ground. Olie will be open and charismatic - so however she's feeling, she can either come socialize and joke around or let her be when she needs. @Frieheit Farms Thank you so much for answering the questions in such great detail! It's so awesome when you know a character so well and are able to picture them in any scenario and know what they'll think, say, or do. I gain some hesitancy with what you provided due to just how standoffish Eli is and while it's easy to respect him and Tessa will find him rather easy to work with (he's independent, knows his job, and gets his work done with zero fuss - giving her plenty of time to sort her own responsibilities out) - I worry about character interaction for him. Tessa is so kind and caring, but if no progress is made in the six months or so, I can imagine her just sort of skipping over him (besides basic pleasantries). Saying 'hi' when they get into work, going over anything extra that needs to be done, and then heading their own ways. I think it would be a bit hard for Tessa - while she's not a social butterfly, it's nearly impossible not to get to know your coworkers in some small way when you work hours a day almost every day. [I've worked at several farms with one or two other coworkers, and even when you have nothing in common, it's hard not to be polite and ask about their interests - especially when you see them every day for many hours] I think it would hurt Tessa in a way to see how much Eli puts out about disliking his job - sometimes taking it a bit personally (and it would probably inspire long talks with her SO). She'd probably still do her little-nice-things like making coffee or bringing donuts (but for the whole barn/morning crew) and make it less about him. Otherwise his work totally speaks for itself - the high quality and efficiency would be high praises [If he can come and work at my barn! Please! He can have a shift to himself if he works as fast and as hard as you wrote! Haha] Let me know what you think |
