Once my RO budget is funded(and my matches are set in stone 🙃) I'm planning on splurging on another 100 stall and 100 leveled geldings. Expensive investment but a good kickstart since all my gelds are level 1-2 and most aren't in the green

It takes a long time but a show string is definitely worth it.
I'm moving next month so I'm going to have to switch from depending on RL monies to depending on my show string after this RO. Going to be taking a ~$7 pay cut .-.

I can't remember how many I have come across so far. But one was kinda intense. The spice is real.

Three Deers said:
How is the spice level? I skipped *those* scenes in Fourth Wing, but if there is a lot more of those in Iron Flame, then it'll just be too much of a hassle. Otherwise I can tolerate the PG-13 romance lol

Wraithcry Farm said:
Iron Flame is definitely heavy on the romance too- but they go more into second year training both on dragons and on the ground! I am loving it so far but if heavy romance is not your thing I would not recommend it for sure.

Three Deers said:
I read Fourth Wing, but havent read Iron Flame yet although I have the book. I loved FW but its a bit too heavy on the romance for my taste so thats why I'm a bit hesitant to read IF. (side note: I LOVE all the editions of FW and IF. I have the holiday editions) My current read is The Reapparance of Rachel Price by Holly Jackson. I love all of her books. I'm also reading a lot of fanfiction right now. Currently reading one thats just under 1,000 pages

Throne of glass is incredible! I'm only 4 books in, but I'm in love with the series! Crescent City though, that one is the best book I've read in my entire life! Amazing crossover of Fantasy and the modern world

I would recommend The Broken Empire and The Red Queen's War trilogies by Mark Lawrence. The Broken Empire trilogy is absolutely masterfully written. It reads kind of like a cross between Game of Thrones and Six of Crows. There are a lot of factions vying for the empire's throne, there's an undead king in the north, and the author dives deep into the gritty realities of human motivations and what people are willing to do for power. There's only one main character, though, who's incredibly clever and constantly beating the odds, and there are some Sci-Fi elements in the story.

The Red Queen's War is set in the same world and at the same time, but has different characters and gives a window into the magic that was going on mainly behind the scenes in The Broken Empire. The first book is kind of meh, mainly because the main character isn't super sympathetic and you already know a lot about the setting. It gets much more interesting in the second though. In the end, both books are a lot about how different people deal with trauma and how it shapes the way they live, even though there are high stakes fantasy issues, which I found super interesting.

I've just finished haunting Adeline for the second time, starting King Of Sloth tomorrow 😮‍💨😮‍💨
Haunting Adeline: 10/10, loved it. But Not for the faint of heart or teens.
