Another question! You mention that E horses need 4-5 wks and P horses need 5-6 wks to level up. When deciding to show, how do you decide which wk to show them on?

This is really a gelding/CS'd mare vs stallion/mare type of deal. Personally, I just show Es 4 weeks after they've leveled and Ps, 5 weeks.

Do you enter member shows?

No, I don't. I consider them too much of a gamble.

Any advice for when geldings continue to show red results, even after having switched riders and being left for a week or so and entered again? I don't know what I'm doing wrong, they're all with riders of their level and yet I'm not making any money

Depending on the rating, they're going to need anywhere for 4-5 weeks to start placing in the green. In looking at your horses, most don't have enough training to be competitive and that's why you're losing money. It's also worth mentioning that you should put all your horses on AD riders. SD riders will make you bleed money.

Ok, thanks for the advice!

Also another last question, What's the most profitable SD? I'm doing dressage with most of my geldings, is there a difference between the 3?

Probably XC or jumping, since you can switch the horse to jumping or XC when they hit level 10.

I have a few questions about the actual riders. Which affects their showing more, their experience or skills? I'm under the assumption that once they hit the next 100 in a skill, that's when they level up, but it's actually the amount of experience points that affects how they do in competitions... is that correct?
