For all my fellow Ibis Paint artists, how do you go about cutting out your horses? I had a pretty decent way of doing it which worked perfectly for me. That was all good until the recent update. I used the selection tool as part of my cutting out but since the update it’s become super grainy which I’m absolutely hating.
So I’m after a new way to cut out until the selection tool stops being a pain.

Also if anyone knows how to fix the grainy-ness of the selection tool that would be amazing!

Thanks in advance.

I first roughly cut around the horse using a size 30 brush
I zoom into the edge of the horse and use the dip pen hard (100% opacity. I can the settings so the ends are about 100 percent as well)
I go all the way around the horse using a size 3 brush (1000x1000 canvas) with the horse image above a layer of a mid purple. I then go around this out line with the same brush in 5px. Depending on how much back ground is left I will enlarge the brush to 10px to remove the rest of the background

If I get a chance I'll post a more thorough tutorial

Never used the selection tool as it has always annoyed me :)

I use the drawing selection area
Click the highest layer, where the brush turns blue and just colour in the background once done click back onto the horse layer and click cut

Or I just use an eraser tool as said above

Use the eraser, because the lasso tool is very rough, basically just erase everything but the horse ^-^
