Like I feel like it's too self centered to be happy about those compliments. Am I being over critical?

I feel guilty that it makes me feel good and proud of myself when customers go to the boss to tell him what a good job I'm doing when I'm on my own after my coworker calls out sick

High tier 3 at most. Lighting is kind of funky, especially with the rearing horse ones. I don't see a ton of body prep going on, and the manes and tails could use a bit of work as well. Overall, you have a fantastic start but I wouldn't pay any more than 50k for a piece (:

Beautiful white markings on that chestnut!
I do agree with Ducky, though. A couple more things to consider are background blur, and some shadows <3
.
Remember the higher the tier you are, the more people are going to expect and ask from you. It is best to start in 3 to start to develop your style, without the concern of people expecting anything highly complex <3

Agree with this but you have insane potential to be a top artist. Your manes and tails are incredible!

I think some of them are manes and tails from HEE. :) I could be wrong. It'll take time, but learning their own hair would be a good step forward!

Thank you. I appreciate all the advice I can get.

Versailles is correct, some manes and tails are edited HEE art. I'm working on my own hair but having some problems with Photoshop and using a mouse. Other than PS on my PC I have a Kindle Fire. Advice welcomed.

Your pieces, especially the last one, show so much potential! I empathize with the struggle of figuring out your style for manes & tails on top of figuring out how to execute it with your chosen program. Things you could easily improve on outside of hair is grounding (shadow on ground, and making sure legs and hooves slightly darken as they meet the ground and horse's shadow), and giving horse the same color tone as background (for example, in that deep purple lightning piece, horse could have a subtle purple tint; in that last piece, a teal tint). Similarly, if you blend together two photos to make a background, like last pic, make sure they are tonally the same and have matching lighting. Also as Versailles suggested, try blurring background so horse and foreground are in sharper focus. Good luck <3
