Not sure just yet. I'll see how many freshman I have for next year after tomorrows training and go from there. If I need mares I'll definitely hit you up though.

Do you need 10 or 20 mares to test?

Ah. I'm not quite there yet. I still need to keep some E mares to test my boys.

So just a handful of E fillies make it to the barns, but they're pretty good. I don't have any way to judge them but their training, so it is how it is

Exactly; now we folk with big vocabularies are mistaken for computers! You really do have great word usage and a very distinctive style. Write more!

I do enjoy using my own lines. Something about see my horses pop all over a pedigree. LOL But a little outside help can be great for a little jump on the LB's.

Vell Absolutely you are welcome. And feel free to reach out for insight. Gypsy is a great resource and I know there are other writers and readers here on HEE that can offer constructive opinions.

Hi guys, i'm having a lot of trouble creating good/decent manes and tails and was wondering if anyone could help me with some new styles and techniques.
Here is my DA with recent examples (ignore the hummingbird piece, that was a collab).

There's some great tutorials on here from amazing artists that show a multitude of ways to do hair, although they all mainly follow the same thing: LAYERS. Lots of layers. Hair shape takes time to get right, and there's no right way to do it, just wing it. Make it thick and full, or sparse and thin. Add shape and definition, shadows and highlights.
But I'm not the expert, so check out a few of these tutorials :)
let me know if you need any more help :) hopefully this gives you a good idea of where to improve.
