I think its because its so over complicated in guides that new players find it daunting to start. I find hand showing so relaxing to do and it gives me a reason to look at the pretty geldings I got + put any dud SD boys to use

@WH, I have tried that and while it is ok, I still have horses who appear ready to show based on their training that do horribly. Part of me thinks more stables are showing which means it is generally just more competitive.

Hm. I just went through by hand earlier and entered shows(I use easy enter days 2 and 3) and a lot of my SD boys didn't go up week 3. I also forgot to geld before some of them got their first two weeks of training so I'll give this first batch a pass.

I think I tried following some of the guides that were out there in 2016 when I originally started playing and nothing seemed to work until I just went horse by horse and looked at the training bars
