I see them all the time. It's random like chimera and only happens in breeds that can have TB in their lines, so no KNN or RID. There are 2 different patterns for manchado so far

Schools love having you jump through some serious hoops to apply. It's a little ridiculous. Good luck!

They really do!! I'll contact my advisor to ask my billion questions about how all of this will work lol! Thank you!

Hey! So it's been a little while and I figured I'd put an update here!
My essay has been finished and approved by my professor who helped me correct a couple of small errors. So my essay is good to be submitted! I am a bit confused about the application process though. For the university I I applying to, I have to mail them my grades. And I mean I have to actually mail them. And I am not sure how to access my transcripts and am concerned they won't make it there at all. And then it says if I'm accepted my final grades have to be sent by my admissions office to theirs. Which is sort of odd... but I'll figure it out. Anyways, my professor that was helping me is so supportive. She even said she would help me when I apply to grad school and I'm so thankful

You may be able to access your transcripts via a school portal website, and you would probably need to call your school to get them to email/print an official copy to snail mail in with your application. Sometimes a school will be fine with just getting the unofficial transcript to start with and once they're all happy with you, getting your school to email the official fancy schmancy transcript over.

Thank you for the info!! I'll have to do this first thing fall quarter. I've been trying to set up an appointment with my advisor to discuss all of this since I've contacted her 2 times already trying to set up an appointment with her. She never got back to me after the first couple of emails so I'm not sure what that's about. But I do know that my first advisor transferred institutions... I miss that advisor lol but yea I will do this first thing! I'll contact the university admissions office about a month after they are sent to see if they got them

Hey y'all! A little update!! So i have been going through something called CUSP training to meet other student leaders at Community colleges across Washington State. I have not yet started college classes but i had some amazing conversations and finally made connections with others. Since we have not had classes or meetings in person, a lot of across-the-state conferences have been cancelled. It made it difficult to meet others who know and understand the stress and pressure of representing a college. I honestly thought it was just me for a lot of these things but it turns out there are so many others with similar experiences at the college. We talked a lot about mental health and how we are always students first. We all wanted to make a discord to stay connected so we can collaborate as colleges as we make our way to legislators in our community (and of the state) with ideas. As no one was really wanting to be the owner of the discord as it is the first CUSP and state wide college leader discord server out there, I offered to host it. Which is a bit stressful but I know that i should be fine since it is safe to say that I have interacted with all 120-200+ people and they are all incredible. While I still have a day of training left (and I do mean a full day - we went from 9am to 7pm today), I know I have already taken away so much.

UPDATE: I submitted my application to my dream University and am crossing my fingers that I am accepted. I figured out how to request transcripts and may I just say it is a super long process. I'd actually submitted my application to the Uni a few days ago but have been waiting to see when my transcripts would be mailed before making a post about it. I should hear back in 2-3 weeks if I am accepted or not.
As for the transcripts, again, it took longer than I thought. It took 2 days just to figure out which address I needed it to be sent to. The University had the right address but missed the top line for address one so I had no clue why my transcript order site kept saying the address didn't exist. Anyways, it took about 3 days to process and today I got an email saying they were sent! We will see what happens!!

Update: I am still waiting to hear if I am accepted or not. In the meantime, I figured I would post here what has happened over the last 3 weeks.

I dropped out of medieval history and am taking American Government instead. Long story short, I am taking 15 credits this quarter so I can be on track to graduate. Pre-reqs are a b*tch and so while I am taking my major (biology) I am also taking a humanities and social sciences class. For my humanities I am taking creative writing and for the social science I chose to take medieval history which would cover my cultural diversity and social science requirement. WELL I was learning a lot but I am failing and recieivng no feedback from my professor who doesn't answer student emails. He says there is no such thing as a trick question yet he put trick questions on all of the quizzes. The class total points is 1000 and 750 of them are made up from quizzes and the remainder is of forum posts (none of which he has graded yet). Unfortunately, he has a vision imparement which prevents him from seeing online things very well. My class is online and so it is very difficult for him to grade anything and it takes months to hear back. it just wasn't working out and so I submitted to withdraw from the class yesterday which happened to be the last day to withdraw from classes without recieiving a W on your transcript (which looks really bad).

My advisor was being too slow to respond so I made the decision to pull myself from the class 3 weeks into classes and I will not have a W on my transcript because I did it in time. My advisor still has not responded which is okay because I am sure she is busy (but honestly i have not had a good experience with this advisor so i have been taking my educational matters into my own hands). I texted one of my old professors and asked if I could be in her class, she said she would take me any day and made an emergency phone call to get me accepted into her class immediatley and to expand her class cap so I could be fitted in. Her class was already full when I asked to join so she forced them to expand her class. While everything is processing though (it should finish processing sometime next week), I am trying to complete 3 weeks worth of homework for her class while taking all of my other classes since I am still technically in Medieval history and not yet approved by enrollment to switch over to American Gov. And, again, I won't be until sometime next week because we are switching over to a new program/server for everything right in the middle of the quarter and so all operations have been stopped. Which is really stupid and no one understands why we are doing this now. (I am a staff member at the college and can say that there have been some very upset people)

MEANWHILE I should hear back from the university I applied to within the next 2 to 3 weeks. It normally takes 2 to 6 weeks to come to a decision according to the various emails i have recieved but it looks like the average is about 4 weeks and 4 weeks is coming up the end of next week. So, crossing my fingers I get in.

Wednesday marked week 4 for waiting to hear back from my dream university which is okay because I am sure they are busy. People found out that they can get accepted earlier by applying early and so there has been a huge increase in applications to Universities right now. While I wait, I am trying to do things with my time including art and music. Being patient and trying not to panic is really difficult right now.

Ok so it has been about 5 weeks since I posted an update and honestly it is because I haven't recieved anything back from that university. I am a very patient person and am okay with waiting for my decision to come back. They kept saying to check in with them and that they were working very hard to get decisions out. What bothers me is that they keep posting that people will hear back soon ect ect. Well alongside that, they posted that they awarded 30 million dollars in scholarships. A week later they posted that they invested 48 million dollars into new locker rooms for football (which they literally just upgraded about 2 years ago). Which makes me think that they give the majority of those scholarships to athletics people. That being said, I am concerned about their priorities. As an academic based student, a biology major, I have not seen any recent lab upgrades, lab based posts ect. It is all based on football. I get it, they love that team, but I dont want to go to a college that values its football players more than the students that are really working our behinds off to go there, do well, and recieve a quality education for a premium price all for nothing.
That being said, I have applied to another university that I think I will do well in. It's a smaller, private university but they are very focused on academics. I have family that live there and my sister may be going to a University in that state as a first year so I worry about her a little bit and it will be good to be close to her if she needs anything. The University I am applying to is strictly GPA based. Because of my affiliation and position in a particular honors society, they waived my application fee. And because of my background, they waived my highschool transcripts and instead are focusing on my college transcripts alone. I am so so grateful for everything they have done and I am crossing my fingers I get in.

Update:
I got impatient and emailed the two universities I applied to. The first one I applied to did not give me a direct answer as to exactly when I will hear back but they recited their infamous line "around two weeks" and then proceeded to say I should hear back around the 15th of December. I then asked my admissions counselor at the smaller Uni that I applied to and he replied with:
"You will recieve an admissions decision this Monday, December 6th. You should expect to recieve good news *winky emoji*"
SO I am assuming I got into that Uni but now I cant sleep. Bad thing is, I got my week's mixed up and this weekend happens to be exam weekend so I had one final due on Tuesday, one due tomorrow, and one due next Tuesday. Sleep is kind of needed since I am doing my exam for Bio tomorrow and a bio quiz... honestly the amount of work my bio prof has given this quarter is almost unacceptable. He literally gave my class 2 weeks of homework AND an exam over Thanksgiving break and weekend and then didn't answer emails when anyone had questions after cancelling classes for the week. I am super thankful I will not have him next quarter or the quarter after that.
On a more bright note, I don't think I mentioned it above but I am now taking part in Undergraduate Research at a Biology Lab. I have been doing it for a couple of weeks now and honestly love it. Currently, they have me extracting DNA, cloning it (about 1.2 billion times), and today I was finally able to do PCR testing and electrophoresis (which I can post a photo of) to visually see the DNA bands. For those of you who don't know, electrophoresis is when you use an electrical field to move and disperse particles along a gel which can be used to see the bands of DNA in a sample (or many samples). Electrophoresis is often used by forensic analysts to compare the DNA of a suspect (or victim) to identify them when they have DNA or samples avaliable. I happen to be the only person working with E. Coli at the moment so I have nothing to really compare my results to but i think it would be super cool to see how my strand of E. Coli compares to another strand or even of another bacteria.
Anyways, thank you all for coming to my TED talk lol <3

Monday morning, I recieved the decision from the second Uni I applied to, as they promised, and I was accepted! I got my major or choice as well which is awesome! Still no word from the first Uni I applied to but if I dont hear back from them by the end of this week, I will be accepting the offer of the second Uni I applied to OR applying to a University here in Washington.
Something to keep in mind everyone, is that credits when you transfer out of state from a Community College do not always transfer perfectly. Even if you recieve an associates from a community college, it will not always transfer perfectly out of state so you may have to take classes to make up for lost credits. You should always check with your advisors and the college/uni you are applying to to see if your degree/credits will be honored.
