She warmed up venus and then got her trotting. She asked for the extended trot with a cluck and a heel tap. Venus obediently went into the artificial gait, each forefoot hovering for just a second before touching the ground. She slowed her horse to a walk and said "Well you are very well mannered but in a dressage test we will get marked down if me asking you for the trot is obvious." She walk for a moment more before asking for the trot again. She trotted a bit and then asked for the ET ( Extended trot ), this time with only a heel tap. Venus did not do an ET lindsy asked for the ET again with a cluck and a tap with the crop. Venus immediately went into the ET. She slowed her horse to a walk and repeated what she had done befor, first talking a walk break, then trotting then asking for the ET with only a tap. Every time venus did not respond to only a tap so would get a tap with the crop. This went on for about two hours, and by the time they were done venus could go into the extended trot with only a tap.

Lisa:

I saw another horse and rider gracefully dancing around the arena. I went over to say hi.

"Hi! My name is Lisa Jones! How are you?"

Snowflake:

I saw a lovely horse and rider practicing in the arena next to the pasture where Valegro and I were.

"Wow! They are amazing! I wonder if we will ever be able to do that!

Valegro:

The grass tasted so sweet here. We both saw a wonderful horse and rider practicing. I let out a shrill whinny, to the horse.

"Hello! How are you? You are very good at the extended trot!"

I hoped I could be as good as that horse someday.

She dismounted and saw another person "Hi! I am Lindsy! I am good, how are you? "

Venus

Hi! I am venus and I am good!

Lisa:

"Nice to meet you! I am doing well. You are SUPER good at the extended trot! How long have you been doing that for? Also your horse is beautiful. What's his name?

Valegro:

" Nice to meet you Venus! I am Valegro. I am supposed to be a good dressage horse, but I seem to do everthing wrong. You were amazing at the extended trot! How do you do that?"

Lindsy

"Thanks! I have been learning dressage since I was 5, Her name is venus."

Venus

"I think you might just not be a dressage horse, you could be great at jumping. Also, I have been learning for 5 years, so there's no rush.

Lindsy

" Well anyway, I have to go." She said as she took venuses bridle off and slipped the halter over her head. She unclipped the lunge line and put the lead rope on instead. She leads venus over to the cross ties in the barn. She undid the girth and took off her dressage saddle. She went to put the three items away in the tack room. She went back and took off the sweaty pad. " This is gross! " She exclaimed. I must put it in the wash. She thought to her self. She groomed and pick venues hoves and gave her a bit of apple before returning her to her stall.

Venus

She looked around in the stall to see if her friend moon was in the barn too.

Lisa:

" Wow! I have been riding since I was 7. And I started doing Jumping and Dressage when I was 10. I enjoy both but, I tend to be best at jumping. That is a very nice name. Thanks for talking! Have a nice day!

Valegro:

" You are probably right Venus. I do like Jumping a lot..... I will have to figure out a way to tell Lisa know that. Though I have a feeling she already knows. At least my friend Snowflake is good at Dressage. WOW! That's a long time! I have only been training for 1 year. Thanks for talking, and for the advice! See you!"

Lindsy

She walked out of the barn with a question in her mind, when will the weekly lesson be? She headed to the owners house and knocked on the door three times.

Lisa:

After I finished grooming and puttting the horses in their stalls, I walked to the nearest bench and sat down. I knew that Velegro maybe just wasn't meant to be a Dressage horse, and I think he may be a good jumper. I figured the best thing to do was to go up to Elise's house and ask some questions. I wandered up to the house and knocked.

"Hello! Would you be willing to give me some lessons and advice about Valegro jumping. I don't think he is doing very well in Dressage. Also do you have any advice as far as Snowflake goes?"

Peter smiled as he heard Dust call out to the other horses. He looked around in awe, for he didn't see at first how big the equestrian center really was. He had never been to such a prestigious place, but he had heard some things about it from a friend who used to go there. This place is much bigger than I thought it was. How on earth am I going to find my way around without getting lost? He thought as he stared at the different facilities. Now slightly anxious, he turned his attention to a house nearby. He knew it was the owner's house, for his friend had told him what it looked like. Maybe I can ask the owner what I'm supposed to do. I don't even know the rules of this place yet! What if I do something that might get me kicked out?! He anxiously thought as he started to approach the house, bringing Dust with him. As he came closer, his hazel eyes caught sight of two girls standing by the door. "Hello there! Do you know where I'm supposed to go? I just got here." He said, stopping three feet away from them.
