As he had expected the words were anything but soft "no greetings needed, everyone here should know who we are already" the woman snapped "of course Ma'am, I'm sorry Ma'am-" he was interupted by the man "Didn't she just tell you to quit with the greetings" he scowled and Ambrose nodded "so the usual or would you like to order something else?" he asked forcing out a smile

He frowned hearing the conversation and felt bad for Ambrose. Why some people thought that they could act like that he didn't know. If his parents ever caught him in that kind of mood then he would not be able to get the taste of soap out of his mouth for days.

The woman responded now, it was like a tag-team "The usual" it was hard to make something so simple sound mean but this lady found the capability "alright, and for you?" Ambrose asked jotting down the order on his notebook "the same thing for me, I thought you were qualified to work here, you seem a bit slow" Ambrose just nodded "you'll have to excuse me" he said appologetically and walked off

Phantom held back the urge to approach the couple, not wanting to ruin his cover or have Ambrose fired. Just stay calm, he thinks, if anything happens then you can help. He traced the edge of the tea cup but still kept an eye on the couple. He moved some of his hair out of his eyes and let out a small sigh.

He rolled his eyes once he was out of view and handed over the order "yeah those two are back" Ambrose sighed as the barista raised an eyebrow recognizing the familiar list of foods and drink "sorry 'rose" they said and got to work quickly to avoid getting yelled at. In the meantime Ambrose checked up on his tables, the girls first "everything alright with you?" he asked
The girls nodded, "Yeah everything is fine." The one that had tried to get with Phantom earlier had calmed down and acted as if nothing had happened. "Could we get the same drinks to go," one of them asked, "they were really good." Meanwhile Phantom was trying to hear what the couple was talking about, but couldn't make out much. He sighed and watched Ambrose walk around checking on tables.

"alright, to go order" Ambrose smiled and wrote it all down again and went back to the counter to hand over the paper "this one's for take away" he said and grabbed the couple's order going back to their table "hope you enjoy" he smiled and tried to leave before any remarks from the couple could stop him but of course that didn't work "our daughter will be joining us soon, bring a coffee with sugar and cream" the man said and waved Ambrose off, he sighed and placed their order heading to check on Phantom's table "everything good with you sir?" he asked
"Everything's great," he said, "but I do have a small question." He lowered his voice some, "What's up with that couple over there? You seem nervous around them. Did they do something to you?" He wanted to make sure that they hadn't hurt Ambrose, being a little protective. He didn't want anything bad happening to Ambrose and wanted to keep him safe.

Ambrose leaned slightly closer when Phantom lowered his voice so he could hear him better "no they didn't do anything, they're just really picky and a bit rude" he explained "and I don't want to get yelled at so I have to be careful when working with them" Ambrose sighed "you don't have to worry about me" he offered a smile before going back to the counter to get the coffee the couple had ordered for their daughter, bringing it over just seconds before the girl walked in

He nods and watches as he left. He's right, he thinks, maybe I'm just over exaggerating. He let out a small sigh and hopes th couple will leave so that he can get away with messing with Ambrose while invisible. He realized that he had jinxed himself when a girl who seemed to know the couple sit down with them. Great, he thinks, well let's just hope she's kinder then them.
