Baltix | Mare | 2nd In Com | Mtn | M: Stormfire, Corona. | Baltix squinted, angry looking. "Well, you're going to have to. And mentally is something that can be helped, you can forget, you can do so much with your mind. You got out of here, my mind will get me out, because my body can't, it's the way of life." She stomped irritated. "The filly passed quickly, you should know this. I don't have a huge lot of life left over, it's more like raggedy and dragging behind my slow ass. Pain is not something you you feel, it's something that your body tells you, your brain tells you how you feel. Your brain should be telling you to be happy, you're free, wild, running, in love!" And I'm.. stuck here, with nothing. She didn't say it out loud, she hadn't had a single bit of wanting to live left in her since the roundup. "You must not know many horses then, I am aware of my 'intelligence', I'm not quite sure how to use it." She looked down. "I would just let go of my "feelings", forgot now, don't mention it to anyone so nobody asks, you don't have to remember." |

"My brain is messed up, but i can try to make it better. And Baltix, you're right about one thing. Your brain should be telling you to be happy. You're still alive, and I hate to say it, but you're safer here than you ever could be in the wild. The humans here...I think they only want to help. Keep hope, Baltix. Make friends. Accept life. It may not be perfect, but it's still good." He turned to go back to the herd and looked back at the mare once more. "And Baltix? Thanks." Then he kept the fence and was gone, running home to his herd through the forest. |

Baltix | Mare | 2nd In Com | Mtn | M: Stormfire. | Baltix huffed, "Accepting is better then nothing." She listened to his words, He's telling me that the humans might just want to help..? Maybe.. I-.. She yelled out as he galloped off. "You're welcome?" She tried to keep herself composed, he said some weird stuff, at least it was weird to her. It startled her, the wild was the safest place, nobody was safe here.. Maybe he's right.. I should.. at least give them a chance, see if they can help. She flinched, the feeling of her chin being touched was still there. She dropped down on her knees, laying down. She inhaled the scents of the barn, humans, and every last bit of the wild lands she knew. Dozing off, slowly, she fell into faded dreams of nightmares, of which, she wasn't afraid this time. |

Stormfire, 2nd in command stallion, prairie herd, m - Baltix As he galloped back to his herd, he though about what Baltix had told him. He realized he did have feelings towards the mare...but like a sister. The thought jolted him and he looked back in the direction of the farm. I hope she gives the humans a chance. They can probably help her. I see now that coronas death always an accident. I cant forgive the humans for causing her death, but I can accept them for trying to help. He reached the tree line and trotted back over to where epona was still asleep. He stood next to her and watched his herd as they woke. |

River/herd mare/mnt/m - Balix, Ash, Stormfire River and Ash just got threw the trees when they saw Stormfire race pass them. She softly smiled at Ash and then came out into the moonlight quietly and carefully. She watched as he laid close to a mare, Oh that must be Epona she thought and quietly walked. She could feel her thinness in her hips but she didn't let anyone bother her about it. Yes I proable eat more then what I do but do I even have time? She thought glancing at Ash and chuckled quietly to herself. Baltix, if I could change places with you, I would but... Ash. She started at something and stopped dead in her tracks. "Ash?" Glancing behind her. Then she heard a small voice answer, "Sor-ry mama... I tipped!" She said and giggled. River sighed for releif. "Come along dear, lets get some sleep." She said as she laid down. |

Adonis | Stallion |M: Baltix, Stormfire, River, Ash The time spent in the pen with the mare left Adonis feeling weird. He couldn't wrap his head around what was wrong, but other than having the obvious concern about her injury... he didn't know why he had this growing nagging feeling. Morrigan had ended the lesson when the mare had backed off after spooking, and she was satisfied that things were going along smoothly. After all, she had chosen to come close to a human and a strange horse willingly. Morrigan had brought him back to the paddock with Daxilu and Dusty, where he had lazily grazed for the rest of the day. He was just beginning to fall asleep when the sun had set, and sudden voices roused him from his stupor. Remaining in his curled position on the ground, with his head in the grass and legs tucked to his stomach, he listened to what sounded like a stallion talking to the mare from earlier. He had completely forgotten to ask for her name before... Curious as to why there was a random stallion speaking to her, he decided to be nosy and listen in on what they were discussing. Feigning sleep, Adonis heard every word they spoke, save for the times when they whispered. However, he was left more confused than before and didn't know what to make of most of what was said. His confusion grew as a new mare and foal joined them, Adonis couldn't believe this mare's popularity. Did she invite them over for a party? Towards the end of the discussion, Adonis realized how alone the mare must feel now that she was completely away from her herd. She had the injury, yes, and the humans would treat her well, but that doesn't replace her past and doesn't guarantee a good future. He grew sad at the thought and decided to try to make it up to her in the morning. Amaranth | Second In Command | M: Stormfire, Hera, Arion, River Startled by all of the movement between the two herds, Amaranth noticed Stormfire checking in on Baltix at the farm. She snorted amusedly, he might be able to sneak past the humans but he was not as stealthy as he might think. Amaranth was also curious when an older-looking mare with a foal had joined them, and they seemed to talk for a while. Hmm... Perhaps he was reassuring her. After all, Amaranth's time spent with the humans in the barn was not horrible, now that she looks back on it. The only truly tragic thing was losing Corona... Her thoughts fluttered to her sister, Hera. She hadn't seen the white mare since she was in the barn, and she was growing anxious to see her. She had asked around, but apparently, none of the other horses had noticed her disappearance. She would have liked to ask Arion for help, but... she did not want to be a burden. She realized also that she cared too much about him to let him worry over something that may not be an issue. Tilting her head back to look at the stars over her head, she peered past the branches as if they would open and tell her their secrets. |

Arion | Stallion | Prairie | M: Amaranth, Baltix, Stormfire ~ Arion's mouth was now dry from munching on the burnt grass. He huffed and walked to the pond, drinking a little. Stormfire had left ages ago, and had now come back. He probably went to talk with that Mountain herd mare with the twisted leg. Gosh, he has too much loyalty to the Mountain herd. After quenching his thirst, he was heading back to Amara but paused, looking up at the stars. He sighed and pushed Stormfire and the stars out of his thoughts. He passed Amara and layed down next to a tree nearby. |

Stormfire, 2nd in command stallion, prairie herd, m - arion, epona, Baltix He lay next to epona for a while, thinking about Baltix. After a while he sighed and got up, walking over to the river. He frowned when he saw Arion was there. He didnt get along with the arrogant stallion, but he was thirsty, so he walked to the area as far away from Arion as he could to drink. |

(oh my god I was crying reading about corona) Epona/mare/prairie/m:stormfire "hey stormfire" she sighed and wobbled up and started licking herself clean"how are you?" she groaned her back cracking"I slept too long" she grazed looking at him with a occupied glance hail/mare/mountain/m:morigan (spelled that wrong) wonder if I can get out? the mare neighed and rammed into the fence wanting out"I want to move, not be in this stupid pen" she groaned as she heaved herself into the fence |

Wish I could sleep that long without being woken up by nightmares and shit." He took a few halfhearted bites of grass, knowing he had to eat, even if it didnt taste like anything and he didnt feel hungry. |
