Ash/Herd filly/Mnt/M: River, Stormfire Ash ran around excitedly before her mother woke up. The young filly ran toward the middle of the herds and started looking for something. One in a while she would stop, look at something, and then keep running again. With her knose to the ground, she quietly snorted. She looked up and saw Stormfire excitedly and then stopped herself. "Mama didn't want me talking to others with out her around." she whispered to herself and then ran back. Mama! Mama! Wake up! its your birthday! River/herd mare/Mnt/M:Ash, Baltix, Stormfire River was dreaming about green vallies, beautiful mountains, and being young again. Her stallion running next to her, Picasso, the previous lead stallion of the Mountain herd. He head was in the air running with her, stride by stride. He never let her stray away without him. "River my love, stay strong for Ash." He said in her dreams. "Yes, my love." she said as she woke up to Ash's laughter. "Mama, happy birthday!!" She yelled and laughed running everywhere around her. "Thankyou love." she said very groggy from waking up. |

Stormfire, 2nd in command stallion, prairie herd, m - River, Ash The sound of Ash's laughter caught in his ears and he glanced over at the filly. He trotted over to River after a moment of hesitation. "Sorry, I couldn't help but overhear," he chuckled. "Happy birthday". |

River/herdmare/mnt/m: Stormfire, ash River gave a small chuckle and got up very slow. "Thankyou." she said with a smile. "I didn't think I would make it this long to be frank." She said as she gave a large shake. She could feal her mussles and bones work against eachother and to be fully honest with herself, it felt good. "I am only like 17?" she said with a spark in her eyes. She looked at Ash and gave her a playful nip. "No mama, you have to be older than that." She giggled. "Oh yes... Now I have to count." River replyed. She then gave a smile towards Stormfire again. "How was the talk with Baltix?" |

Stormfire, 2nd in command stallion, prairie herd, m - River, Ash He chuckled at the filly's amusements, then turned his head back towards River. "It went surprisingly well. She didn't freak out, or judge, or get rude. She just...listened and then said what she thought would help." He shrugged. "She had the wisdom of an old mare, that's for sure." Then he realized how old the mare he was talking to was. Oops. Hope that doesn't sound too rude. "I told her to try and accept living with the humans. That they might help. How could I say that? I don't trust them! If I can't trust them, how can I expect Baltix to? Ughhhh...." He banged his head against a tree in frustration. |

River/herdmare/mnt/M:River She chuckled when he said that. "Well, I am happy you think the elderly ones are wise." She smirked but then went back to seriousness. "She learned a lot when she was younger but I will let her tell you that." She said and then shifted her weight. "Stormfire look at me, I was glad that you told her that. I would have myself but I would not be heard for reasons. You where wise to tell her that. Even if it when agaist everything you beleive or tought. Baltix is strong minded and to hear from a stallion who she sees as a friend tell her that, it will help." She paused, seeming like she was thinking again. "Also you, young stallion, don't need to be so hard on yourself." She whispered as she softly blew into his face. Her tone quiet and soft, like a breese in the tops of the trees. |

Stormfire, 2nd in command stallion, prairie herd, m - River He grunted. "I have to be hard on myself. It's the only thing keeping me going." He looked away shyly, not knowing why he trusted the mountain herd mare so much. He glanced over at Ash, who was now playing a ways away. "But I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks Baltix is better off where she is. You're wise, and I trust your judgment even though I just met you. I think it's the filly." He hesitated and then whispered. "It's the filly for sure. The way you treat her makes me feel like I can trust you." He looked up at River. "A good parent always catches my attention since my parents were abusive. So, yeah." |

River/herd mare/Mnt/M- Stormfire, Ash She smiled softly and nodded. "You are not the only one." she said quietly. "Even though Baltix is better where she is at, its her choice to except it and to see it." then she paused again. She saw Ash jumping and playing after a butterfly. "She honestly makes it easy... she was the reason why I didn't get stuck in that round up other wise I would be stuck like Baltix." she then sighed, "but I wouldn't have to worry about food." She stood there quietly for a moment, and her elderly age shown in her eyes. |

Stormfire, 2nd in command stallion, prairie herd, m - river He blinked, shocked. "But...mountain herd eats before us. You should have plenty of food. I mean...you do have first pick." He watched as the filly played, slightly concerned. Is there really that little grass left? Or is there another reason shes worried about food? |

River/herd mare/ mnt/M - Stormfire River shook her head. "It hasn't rained near enough since the fire, yes the thunder storm helped but I was hoping for more and with the Winter coming, the burnt grass won't be enough for us and the other animals that live in the forest." she said quietly so no one else would here. "Even though I have sugested to the herd stallion that we should send 2 from each herd to go search over the mountains to see the grass on the other side, they don't listen to the crazy old mare." she huffed. She looked over to her filly making sure she keeps staying out of trouble. |

Stormfire, 2nd in command stallion, prairie herd, m - river he frowned. "Someone could sneak off. Me. I could sneak off. Check it out over there, report back to you, and maybe we could all go over there." Then he let out a dry laugh - a short bark of noise without humor. "Besides, if I bring epona with it's not like anyone would miss me. In all honesty, they'd probably be glad I'm gone." He was about to say something else when a familiar scent touched his nostrils and he stiffened. "Call Ash over close to us. Right now. I smell a panther, and its hunting. Its keeping upwind." His whole body tense as he tried to pinpoint the wild cat. |
