Stormfire, 2nd in command stallion. prairie herd, M - Epona He blinked, shocked. He wasn't used to horses asking if he was alright. The interactions with horses he grew up with were whenever he went into the vicinity of his parents, and those encounters always left him injured. And he definitely wasn't used to horses touching him without hurting him. "I - I'm fine. But I agree, they need to go away. If I rush them, would they run or fight?" After a moment he shrugged. "Eh, it doesn't matter. Fighting is really the only option if you want something done." He started cantering in a straight line towards the human and her horse, ears pinned, neck arched, and nostrils flaring, hoping to scare them off.

Morrigan | Human | M: Stormfire, Adonis
Droplets of rain fell on her shoulders while Morrigan observed the herds. Because her vision was skewed from her binoculars, she missed the charging stallion. Adonis shifted underneath her, which brought her attention to the aggressive horse. Her brow lifted in amusement at the show of intimidation. The horse and rider were quite a distance away from the herds, not posing a threat at all, yet the cocky stallion still wanted to chase them off. Adonis pinned his ears back and snaked his neck towards Stormfire.
He could barely make out the words that the other stallion had said, but he bit out a response, "Calm yourself, we are only here to check on the safety of the herds. Don't act irrationally!" The blood-bay stallion stood his ground and refused to show signs of weakness to such aggression. Some of these horses were crazy, acting on instinct instead of thinking of the repercussions of their actions.
Amaranth | Mare | Prairie herd | M: Stormfire
Amaranth stood up quickly at the sounds of Stormfire's aggravation. She looked between the stallion and the human, watching their body language. After hearing the strange horse speak, she followed his words, "Stormfire think this through. Your actions could cause harm to not only our herd but the Mountain Herd as well. They are not causing any trouble, just watching." The black mare was deeply concerned about this encounter, she didn't see this ending well if the second in command didn't back down. Stormfire, 2nd in command stallion, prairie herd, M - Amaranth/Epona "I did think this through. They're too close to the herd. I don't care what happens to Mountain herd. Frankly, if they're injured I could care less. But humans are taking our horses all the time now. This one needs to leave. If she's as harmless as she says, she can watch from a greater distance." He turned his gaze to the human and her horse, his anger threatening to explode. "They need to leave. And they need to do it now. Or they're dead." He pawed the ground furiously, trying to calm himself before he hurt one of his own herd members by accident. Suddenly, he went still and tense, and his head jerked up. "Epona, your sister's calling. I think it's her time. You'd better go help her!" Edited at September 28, 2021 04:25 PM by NightClan

Stormfire, 2nd in command stallion, prairie herd, M - Epona He snorted, still furious. "Fine. But if they come any closer, nothing you can say will change my mind!" He was tense, lather beginning to form on his chest and shoulders. He began to stop back towards the herd, then gasped and stumbled a bit when the shock hit his injured shoulder. He cursed and pinned his ears back. "Forgot about that," he muttered. "Stupid shoulder." He continued to stop back toward the herd, ignoring the pain as his shoulder opened up again. The pain just awakened him. It was the only thing (besides fighting) that let him feel anything anymore.

Arion | Stallion | Prairie | M: Amaranth, Stormfire, Epona briefly ~ Arion huffed and watched as Amaranth stood up and listened to her talking to Stormfire. Hrm. Slightly rude, but whatever. Arion stood up himself, ignoring the raindrops falling across his back. He watched as Epona, who was standing next to Stormfire, leaned over and nuzzled him. Ugh, gross. He squinted, Looks like Stormfire's limping again.

Stormfire, 2nd in command stallion, prairie herd, M - Epona/Arion He stomped back over to the rock and stood there, fuming. I need to fight something. He shifted his weight and used the pain in his shoulder to anchor himself to reality. He noticed Arion was watching him and out of instinct his ears went back. He forced them forward, so they were only half back. "What," he snapped, grumpy that yet another fight was averted.
