kestrel/filly/mountain herd/m:phoenix she nipped him on the rump and let him chase her around, a horse version of tag and she jumped and twisted hoping to put more distance between the two , she was sky high and almost seemed to glide over the grass like a bird in flight, she slid to a stop and changed directions zig-zagging away

Phoenix Phoenix chased after Kestrel. He let out a joyfull whinny as he jumped around. He noticed his mother was staring into the distance and felt uneasy. He only been with her for a little while but felt like her actual foal. "Kestrel." He said "My mother keeps staring into the distance."

Arion | Stallion | Prairie Herd | M: Amaranth briefly ~ Arion looked up. Clouds were gathering in the sky. Looks like it might rain later. He glanced at the two Mountain Herd foals playing. Hopefully it'll stop them from prancing about. Arion thought, climbing out of the pond and shaking his fur out. His gaze landed on Amaranth and it stayed there for a bit. He huffed and shook his head, walking away from the pond and laying underneath a crispy, burnt tree. ~ Dusty | Mare | Prairie Herd | M: Arion briefly ~ Dusty watched Arion climb out of the pond and shake his fur out. I should probably get out too. She stood up and shook her fur out on land. She watched two Mountain Herd foals playing for a little bit, before turning away and laying next to a rock. Dusty watched the barn in the distance, wondering what its like inside.

Stormfire; Stallion (2nd in command); Prairie Herd He was standing in the shadows under a tree, watching the horses grazing when he caught a scent. He was immediately on alert and pranced in place as he looked around. He noticed the mountain herd horses coming closer and tensed. I don't know where the lead stallion is. All I know is the bozos from Mountain herd are here again. He started out from under the tree and emerged into the sunlight. I feel too exposed out here. Ugh! He arched his neck and lifted his legs high and clean, trying to look as formidable as possible. Come and get my herd. Try and taunt them. Try and come over here. I dare you! Baltix | Mare | Mountain Herd | 2nd In Command | M: Stormfire, Mtn Herd, Prairie Herd. She grumbled, staring at the stallion from the other herd as he pawned at the sky. Showing dominance that his herd did not have. She snorted and looked around the patchy area she stood on, the enforced rule that they had placed on the Prairie Herd, she knew it was cruel but she had no say in the doings of the leaders, that was until she reached maturity. Her eyes slid to the barn, noticing to two figures nearby. A human on a horse, she shook off the feeling of being watched, she strongly disliked these humans on horses. Given she cannot escape them, her leg had been bent in my a wolf who slammed into her leg. It never healed right. Edited at September 27, 2021 04:47 PM by iArema

Stormfire, 2nd in command stallion, Prairie herd Good, they're staying away. He continued trotting in a circle around the herd, his energy and fury (both from his past & current situation at the suppression from mountain herd) building more and more. He was breathing heavily & starting to lather when he galloped furiously into the forest and began to kick the trees as hard as he could. He didn't pay attention; his anger had blinded him. A branch whipped across his shoulder, cutting him deeply, but he didn't notice. He continued until he had worn himself down. He stumbled to the entrance of the forest, staying inside the tree line but keeping a wary eye on the other herd and the barn in the distance. He lay down, panting, and glanced at the wound on his shoulder. He sighed. Great. I'll just have to be careful not to let this one get infected. He looked back over at Prairie herd, wishing that things could go back to the way they were.

Corvan | Stallion | Mountain Herd | M: Evela Corvan stamped his front hoof on the dry grass, which cracked and sent up a tiny cloud of dust. If the rain comes, we won't have to worry about the food supply. He thought with a pang of sadness. A quick rythm of hoofsteps to his right made him turn, and he smiled pleasantly as he watched his daughter approach. She was fairly small, but Corvan knew her fragile figure held greater power than what could be expected for an underfed yearling. He stood there, waiting, as Evela raced towards him, her hooves kicking up flurries of dust. "You seem excited. Do you think you'll be able to beat me this time?" Corvan chuckled as she skidded to a stop, just a few feet away from where he was standing. Evela | Filly | Mountain Herd | M: Corvan The young filly lifted her front feet and lunged toward her father, happily flinging her fluffy mane up and down. "You're just afraid I'll defeat you! Then you'll look bad because you'll be beaten by a foal!" She laughed and pranced up to the dark stallion's shoulder, burying her muzzle in his mane. Her father looked amused, but said nothing, nuzzling her back with such tenderness a father could give. Moving her gaze to the land beyond, she yelled, "Let's go!" as she charged forward, nearly falling from the great increase in speed. Her father followed, and due to him being older and taller, he caught up quickly. Both father and daughter raced across the open field, leaving large clouds of dust in their wake.
