Amber grunted with the pain but did nothing else, she just wanted to sleep at this point

He let her sleep now that she was alright and sat down in the corner of the cave.

Amber passed out with just shooting around her body. She didn't move a muscle at all during the night

Sage stayed up all night, watching the storm

The next morning Amber grunted and she turned over on her back She gritted her teeth "fuck my chest is tight" she gasped

He grunted from where he was laying on his back with his feet propped up against the cave wall. "That would be because you almost drowned last night," he muttered. "Great going. Thought you would've gone to the hospital or something instead of going into the fuckin' river." He raised an eyebrow at her. What the hell happened?

Amber coughed a hefty cough "I was trying..to get back-" her coughing uncontrollably interrupted her sentence "to the trees" gasped. Her coughing eventually settled. "I had gone to the bakery but it was shut.....The hospital is on the other side of town and my foot slipped in the mud when I tried to cross the river"

He blinked. "Oh. Well that sucks." He shrugged. "Next time just come to the cave, its easier."

Amber shut her eyes "yeah yeah whatever" she waved her hand at him

It was still storming, so he couldn't go do anything, and it was driving him crazy. He ended up pacing the cave while Amber lay there.
