Hmmm...sage is just kinda gonna live in the streets - maybe he's a native & there are people trying to capture the natives (I don't care why) and they meet in the streets? Amber could have gotten lost or something and she finds him hurt and decides to help him, they slowly fall in love and whatnot?

yeah ok ok...I was thinking Amber was gonna live on the streets too, she grew up without a home and no family so she has nothing better to do than help Sage although at the start she tries to ignore him but can't help it but help him because she just saw something in him??

Yeah, that works. Maybe they both get captured and at first she tries to stay away from him because he kinda acts like a psycho (and looks like one because he's half-starved and hurt but still fights like a crazy person)? But ends up helping him anyway and then the rest?

yeah ok, who do they get captured by? also at the start Amber doesn't really speak, she has English but she just acts mute because she finds it easier to look sad while begging if she doesn't say anything

Ok, that works. Sage just kinda growls and curses a lot so neither of them really hold a conversation at first haha. They could get captured by a group of people who have taken it upon themselves to capture the 'street rats' and punish them I guess.
