Luna | M: Xeno, Open. "Well, I thought maybe if I hang around you then Versace could stop glaring daggers at me from every glance she gives me." The mare said with a defeated sigh. "I'm trying really hard to be nice to her for her brother's sake but he was just ranting about her eariler and I'm not really sure of what to do." Luna said this to Xeno, looking down at the ground a bit.

Dakota (what does the "M" mean?) Dakota came trotting out of the woods with her head held high. Her pale blue-grey eyes had a lively look to them. She pranced up to Hazel, whinnying. "Good evening." She said brightly to Hazel, Winter, and Legend. Dakota looked over at the setting sun. She had always loved sunsets. She watched as the desert-ish colors disappeared from the sky and twilight came about. She looked around at the herd, checking to see that everything was alright. Dakota turned to Hazel. "Sorry I was gone so long, I was searching the nearby areas so we have some ideas of where to go when vegetation gets scarce here." Dakota knew a thing or two about pasture health from being moved constantly at the breeding ranch when she was younger. When they did so, the grass always looked greener when they came back. "I think the field to the north of us looks the heathiest should we need to leave."

Hazel: "Much appreciated, Dakota. Should we ever need to leave, that certainly would be a good place to go." She agreed, tossing her head to get rid of flies. Hazel did not think they would have to leave for a few weeks yet, but who knows what could happen in that time that would force them to leave? The sun was high in the sky, and the light reflected off the nearby lake. The herd was spread out through the meadow, and as Hazel observed them she thought about how proud she was to be the alpha of this herd. She walked down to the nearby lake and arched her neck for a drink. As she was sipping the cold, smooth water she observed her reflection, which rippled every time she moved and distorted into funny shapes.

Dakota | Beta, Open Dakota wandered off, making laps around the herd. On her second circle, she realized everything was fine and decided to be mischievous. But how? She saw Hazel drinking and thought about splashing her. Nah, too boring. She saw the twins. Nope. Prada was super sweet and Versace looked pissed off at something as usual. She saw Luna and Xena talking. She could work with that. She "inadvertently" started to mosy towards them. Dakota grabbed a flower as she made out her plan. Mischievous. Not really. Entertaining though? Definitely. She waltzed up behind Xena and bowed her head. "Good aft'noon, darlin," she said in a british-y accent. Dakota stood up and put the flower behind Luna's ear and said, "Such a fine day, eh? For such fine ladies." She winked and grinned, giggling. This is fun. Then she trotted off to the creek and stopped beside Hazel. She bent her head down and took a drink, then splashed Hazel's nose with water.

Luna | M: Xeno, Dakota, Open. The mare would be chatting with Xeno, hoping to get any advice from the older mare. Luna's ears would perk when she heard another voice before seeing that it belonged to another mare, Dakota, a curious look played on the mare's face as she watched her. Noticing that Dakota put the Flower behind her ear, hearing what the mare said before she began to feel a bit flustered. She softly giggled, shaking her head lightly as she watched the mischievous Dakota gallop off from them then she paid her attention back to the elderly mare.

"Ahhhh!" Hazel started, stepping back and stomping her front left foot into the lake. "I'll get you back!" Hazel started prancing around in the water, soaking Dakota in the process. Dakota galloped away from Hazel, towards the rocks, and the mare decided to follow. "Come back!" She neighed. Hazel's liver chestnut coat was slicked down with water, and she was absolutely soaked.
