Brith kept her head down, but her entire focus switched to the mare coming to the banks. From the first time she saw the herd, it was easy to see that this was the lead mare. She had the authority to let her stay or kick her out without an explanation. Brith had no power here like she did with the Men. Best to be as nice as possible. She pricked her ears forward and lifted her head, making sure not to appear defiant. "Hello."

Dakota | M: Brith | Beta, Open Dakota smiled on the inside. She had assumed ignorance or suspicion. Then she saw it. Her posture, expression, and tone showed kindness and submission, but she had looked into her eyes. Her eyes showed defiance. Dakota sighed softly, being as quiet as she could. She would try to move past that wall. She didn't want her to feel left out or ignored. She tried her best to brighten her eyes. "You're new here, right? I'm Dakota, the beta. What's your name?" Winter: Winter found Hazel over by the edge of the woods, talking to Zenia. "Alpha," he said sharply. He always addressed his authority properly, even if his authority was Hazel, who didn't seem to be too strict when it came to leadership. " May I talk to you?" He asked politely.

Didn't work... Brith let out a puff of air. "Good to meet you. I'm Brith." Inwardly she was panicking. This wasn't the fort and it was live or die outside those walls. She couldn't afford to be snippy.

Hazel M: Winter | Alpha, Open "Of course Winter! Why don't we move towards those rocks, so we have some privacy?" Hazel wondered what this was about. The herd was fine, so maybe it was something else. As they trotted towards the rocks, Hazel asked Winter what the matter was. Edited at November 9, 2022 05:22 PM by Luckshan Breeding

Dakota | M: Brith | Beta, Open Dakota panicked inwardly. She seemed kinda agitated. Well, shoot... She debated on continuing the conversation but found nothing to say, so she just said "Nice to meet you." and kinda stood there awkwardly. Crap, what do I do now? She looked around, searching for an excuse to leave, she hated being in uncomfortable situations, and in the one she could tell she wasn't the only one who looked a bit distressed. She tried to discreetly search the field. She saw Hazel and Winter speaking. That could work... "Um-if you would excuse me, I-uh need to go check in with something. Dakota all but ran off, trying hard not to move quickly. She was going for the look of walking off leasuring, but her muscles were a bit tense. She took a deep breathe, loosened up and wandered over to the Alpha and stallion. She wandered what they were speaking about. Winter was a quite intriguing horse, she was sure he had a story, but could never find the time to ask. Maybe she could after the two were done speaking. She nibbled on grass a bit away from the two of them trying not her eavesdrop on their conversation. Dakota knew she seemed suspicious so she moved a little bit farther away, their words out of earshot. She could always ask Hazel later.

Brith | Open That probably isn't good. Brith ears twitched back and forth and she nervously tossed her head. Did I challenge her? I didn't mean to if I did! Anxiety welled up inside her chest, suddenly making it hard to breath. She longed for her master's reassuring touch, but the realization that she would never feel it again just made the pain that much worse. She plunged into the river with a splash and galloped down the banks, each strength lengthening until she was pounding down the fringe. When she reached a good distance a way, she wheeled around and galloped back upstream. Back and forth, back and forth; trying to outrun everything until she didn't feel it anymore.
