There is in fact a such thing as a white horse, they are just very rare. It is to do with the "W" gene. Although if both parents are W there is a 50% (correct me if I'm wrong) chance of the foal being WW resulting in them dying in the womb. White horses have pink skin and generally have hazel eyes. The common misconception is that white horses are albinos and grays are white horses, when in fact (again correct me if I'm wrong) there is no such thing as an albino horse since it will die even before birth. It would actually be a 25% chance of the foal dying, 50% chance of being white like the parents, and 25% chance of being non-white, since white, like frame overo, is a co-dominant homozygous lethal allele. I'm also not aware of there being such a thing as albino horses at all (doesn't mean they don't exist, I'm just unaware). Other than those, though, you're entirely right!

Thank you for the correction :D I read something on it a while ago and i suck at remebering numbers so thank you! Also I did some more research to be sure, I made a mistake, there is no such thing as albino, I confused it with another thing - so yes there is no albino horses

My brother was going to ride my mare, and I said 'be careful, she doesn't like people touching her flanks' so he promptly jumped up ONTO HER RUMP and kicks her in the flanks. WTH. The mare, obviously, takes off across the arena and I'm just glad she didn't kick him. He fell right off her back end, landing on his feet and falling backwards onto his rear end. Then he screamed, (startling the horse even more) "Polly bucked me off! Polly kicked me! I'm dying!" I'm like -facepalm- as I run to go catch my loose mare

My horses were in a trailer at a gas station, and a random person asked if they were race horses 😂 (Horses were a cutting/reining bred quarter horse and an Arabian)

Lol! - ive had people come up to me (complete strangers) and look at my horses standing tied to the trailer and they said, I quote, "Aww! What cute ponys!" These horses: a QH that is 16 hh and a Morgan that is 15.3. I said, "Ma'am these are horses, because they are over 14.2 hh..." so then she said, "I know they are horses, I'm nit stupid. What else would they be, zebras?" -face palmed- "no ma am I a man meant that horses and ponies are two different things" she said I SWEAR "Well I think I know better than you do young un " and stomped off! (She was dressed in a frilly pink dress, standing far back from the horse's as not to get hair on her perfect petticoat) Edited at April 8, 2023 05:27 PM by Wild Warmbloods
