Mari was happy when the boy came back in for another kiss, and you could tell her delight from the happy kind of murmur she let out... it was deeper, more... passionate, if that's how you wanted to put it. There just seemed to be something behind it, and it made her heart pound in a way she couldn't quite explain. She smiled slightly when he seemed to linger, and tried to reach up to kiss him again, but he just seemed to hesitate before flopping down next to her. She frowned, a bit confused as to what had happened... she hadn't expected things to go very far, they didn't have long, but he certainly wasn't expecting him to just flop down next to her. Her lips were still tingling from his touch... and her whole body seemed to burn, even though it was just... kisses. But she could see something across his face, and she couldn't quite put her finger on what had happened... had she done something wrong? She looked over at him before rolling onto her side. "What's up?" She asked with a concerned frown. Edited at March 14, 2023 01:49 PM by Belle

Sage shook his head slightly, a light blush covering his face and he grinned sheepishly. "I didn't want to get too excited and start something we didn't have time for or that might hurt something," he admitted quietly. "It's not that I don't want you anything, I just...." He trailed off slightly then and gave the girl a kind of apologetic smile and shrug. It was admittedly a struggle not to leap at the girl again, but he was holding himself back, not wanting to do as he'd said. He didn't want anything to happen or go wrong.

Mari nodded slightly to the boy, admittedly a little bit relieved. It wasn't her fault... that was one of her biggest scares. She knew she hadn't been well for a... long time, and Sage had seen all of it. She was just scared he'd been grossed out by her or... something. That terrified her, actually, even though she knew Sage wasn't like that. She was carrying his baby - and, well it couldn't all be glamourous. It made sense, though, and they didn't have too much time anyway. She sighed and went to press a light kiss to his cheek, and gave another gentle smile. "No... that's... it's alright," she told him quietly as she rested her head on his shoulder. "We need to get going anyway," she added lightly.

Sage chuckled lightly and nodded, sitting up with a sigh and wrapping his hand around hers. "We may as well go to the doors to greet them along with everyone else," he hummed. The intense feeling to kiss the girl had subsided a bit, now that he'd calmed down some, so he pressed a quick kiss to her cheek and gently pulled her along towards the door. (It's short first game of the badminton season is tonight lol)

(Alright! Enjoy lmao) The girl nodded gently to the boy with a bit of a sigh... she did want to just sit here, but she was the queen's maid, so she supposed she had to be there to greet the woman. "I suppose so," she hummed quietly before shaking her head. She grinned at his little kiss on the cheek, albeit she was a little bit sheepish. She still had a few thoughts running around her head... though she knew she needed to get them out. Sage wasn't any of the things she was thinking right then... and she knew that, so she wasn't quite sure why she was so worried. She followed him out and wandered along the corridors next to him, really quite excited to see the Queen... they did get along quite well, and she did want to tell the woman she was with child... and she hoped the woman would be happy for her and all would go well. The woman was always fairly good to her, so she hoped all would go well with that.

Sage walked next to the girl, towards the doors. They got there just in time to see the whole band of carriages come to the castle and stop. He heard Atts familiar squeal, and he came hurtling towards sage. He had to let go of Mari's hand to catch the boy, a wide grin stretching across his face as he boy wrapped his arms around his neck in a hug. "Hey buddy! How's it going," he chuckled, propping the (now quite heavy actually) boy on his hip. He glanced around for Anya, and soon his gaze landed on her, causing his goofy grin to get wider. The queen was close behind the girl, already giving orders. The doctor came up behind sage then, and took in the scene before hobbling over to the queen and tipping his cap in a sort of bow his back good handle. "Welcome back, your majesty," the doctor hummed lightly. "I trust your trip was good?"

Mari couldn't help her slight smile when the little child went to run up to Sage... they both seemed so happy to see each other. To be honest, the whole screne was pretty special. The fancy carriages, with even more fancy people in the. It wasn't just the king and queen and their daughter, it was all their cousins and family. It was just pretty fun to see. Though, she didn't get to take it in for very long before she was shouted to grab a couple of bags for the queen. She sighed before hobbling off to grab a few things for her and drag them up to her room. Anya watched for a moment with a bit of a chuckle as her son ran up to Sage. The little guy had been talking nonstop about how much he'd misssed 'the cool guy in the case'. She didn't mind, because to be honest she missed him too. She flashed a bit of a grin back to the boy before trotting up the stairs "He's certainly missed you," the girl hummed. "I don't think there hasn't been a day where he hasn't told me just how much he missed you. How've you been?" she told him, a grin still on her face. She glanced to the doctor when he started trying to speed to her mother, and the woman sighed tiredly with a gentle smile. She'd been much more relaxed since she'd been away, Anya had noticed... so she took it she was feeling a little bit better now. "It was fine. The manor was as nice. A break from all the crazy towns folk was nice," she told the older man lightly. "We need to get unpacked. We can come find you later if he need to talk," she offered the older man with a small smile before beckoning everyone with her bags, including Mari to run off to her room.

Sage grinned at Anya and set Att down to throw his arms around the girl happily before standing back and taking Atts hand again, a dumb grin still stretched across his face. "I've been alright," he hummed. "I've had the doctor, and Mari, and the horses, and Amber-" he stopped over to pick the kitten up and hold her out to show Anya, eyes sparkling. "It got bad for a while, so the doctor and Mari got me her," he giggled. Then he wrinkled his nose slightly. "Speaking of Mari, I'd better go help her carry bags," he grunted. "I don't want her getting hurt. You can come with if you want," he hummed, already scrambling back towards Mari. Att followed readily, grabbing his hand that wasn't holding Amber. He did hope Anya would follow ..he'd definitely missed her but Mari might need his help too. Besides, he wanted them to meet and be friends, get along, that kind of thing. He found Mari soon enough, and set the cat down to grab a bag from her, lightening her load a bit. "No straining yourself aloud," he chirped, still just really happy everyone was back....he was practically bouncing along. The doctor, meanwhile, knew the queen was a busy woman, so he grunted and nodded waving her away. "I have med reports and stuff from while you were gone," he hummed. "Just send for me when you're ready," he informed the woman before hobbling back off to his own office. Just because everyone was coming back didn't mean he could ignore the people under his care. Life just didn't work that way.

Anya couldn't help her slight chuckle when the boy threw his arms around her. She had missed the boy... but he seemed to be elated for whatever reason. His silly grin seemed to be infectious, because one grew across hers fairly soon too. She grinned when he shoved the cat in her face. "She's adorable!" The girl squeaked as she gave the little animal a scratch to her cheek. "Mari?" She asked with a confused chuckle. She wasn't overly sure he was on about, but the name did ring a bell. Though she followed along when he ran off after her. She did miss the boy... it seemed like Ages since she'd spoken to him. They'd sent mail, but that was about it. She grinned to the doctor as they wandered past. She'd have to talk to the old man later... she'd definitely missed him too... he was definitely important to her. Mari jumped a little bit when she suddenly had a bag ripped from her hands, but gave a sheepish smile. "I can take it you know I'm not useless like this," she mused lightly. "It's not too heavy," she then added. She noticed the princess come up next to her, and all Mari could do with give a kind of shy looking smile. She knew Sage would want the two to be friends, but she already had a tainted view of the girl. As far as she was concerned, Anya was... spoiled, and a bit selfish, so it was unlikely that she'd manage to get along so easily with the girl.

Sage gave Mari a grin and shrug. "Yeah but I'm not doing anything so I may as well help," he hummed. "I know you want to talk to the queen and all, and you can't do that if you get another migraine or start throwing up," he noted with amusement, nudging the girl in a teasing way. Lightly, of course. It was obvious he cared for the girl...between his actions and the look in his eyes, which was clearly showing since he found he had no reason to hide his emotions as of right then, he figured Anya could put the pieces together that he liked the girl. He did hope she would be as glad about this whole thing as he was though...he certainly didn't need any jealousy messing this all up. Anya was a big part of his life, but that didn't mean his love for her was the same as his love for Mari. Not in any way. Att, by then, had asked to hold Amber, so he handed the kitten over to the younger boy. They seemed to get along well, and Att was both caring and careful, so he didn't have any worries about it. "Did you have a good time," he asked Anya, curious as to what all they'd done down in the little vacation home. "I want to know all about your time, and once you get settled you can meet Mystery and I know you'll want to say hi to the doctor, too!" It was probably quite clear he was really excited to have everyone back...and he didn't really care to hide any of it, for once, so he probably seemed almost giddy to the two girls next to him.
