Sage chuckled lightly and nodded. "I don't think I'm built to give birth," he noted with amusement, holding the girls hand as he dropped off all the feeds along the way. He gave the girl a grin and a shrug at her later comments and chuckled. "Yeah, but you love me anyway," he chirped lightly, pecking her on the cheek as he passed. He poured grain into one last stall and said hello to mystery and chaos quickly, before taking her hand again and heading back to the castle. "All done," he chirped. "Why don't we have a picnic out in the garden?" (I might have sage propose in the garden since it's pretty and whatnot)

Mari nodded in agreement with the boy. "We'd have to just put you out of your misery," she noted gently bumping his shoulder as he walked past. She couldn't help her silly grin when he pecked her on the cheek but nodded in agreement with the boy. She did love him, with everything she had... since getting pregnant, she felt like she hadn't told him that enough. "I do, I do," she hummed lightly to the boy before linking arms with him. "You love your picnics, don't you," she asked lightly before nodding softly to the boy. "Of course... we can make something up." she hummed happily.

Sage chuckled lightly at the girl's joke and nodded happily, grinning when she linked arms with him. "It's nice out," he hummed. "And I know you're gonna force me to eat a full meal so it may as well be out in the sun," he giggled lightly, really just making a joke about his bad appetite. Though, he really hadn't been eating as much recently, since he'd been nervous as to when she'd be going into labor. They wandered down to the kitchen, and he sort of rummaged about before deciding to just make up some simple foods and bring them....kind of like a snacky lunch.

Mari smiled the boys comments before nodding gently. "Of course I will. If you're not eating properly then you might get sick or something and I'll have to stay away from you," she complained lightly before shaking her head. She watched him make something up for the two of them, and she would have helped, but in truth staying on her feet and running around the kitchen was getting... tuff. She'd tried to make a couple of meals for the two of them, but at the moment they were very rare, considering how hard her generally found it to stay on her feet for too long.

Sage was more than happy to make up their lunch while the girl sat down....he knew she wasn't exactly as peppy as usual with a whole human inside her. Besides, he wanted to do something for her. And if making lunch was that for now, then so be it. Once he was done, he reached over to take the girls hand and lead her out to the gardens, finding a bench outside and making sure she was comfortable before settling down himself.

Mari followed the man along happily, her hand clutching tightly onto his hand and the other resting on her stomach with a slight smile across her face. She thanked him when he settled down next to her, offering another smile. "Whatcha make?" She asked with a hum to her voice. She looked around, admiring the colourful scenery around her... it was gorgeous. And it was warmish, too, which was of course always nice. She hoped it would stay nice until the baby had gotten there... and after, too. She suddenly thought about how lucky they were to be in the castle while the child would be an infant. It was warm there, and they had the doctor... it would mean the child would be well cared. In the slums, where it was harder to warm a house and more diseases ran around, it would be much harder to raise a healthy baby that way. She suddenly felt her thoughts snap back to Sage... the baby had been all she talked about, and all she spoke about for the past couple of weeks... he was probably a little bit tired of it. He'd made something nice for her lunch, and been nothing but wonderful to her... she certainly needed to let him know how thankful for him she was.

Sage hummed lightly and shrugged. "A bit of this and that," he hummed. "Just kind of a snacky type thing. Figured that would be nice rather than a big full meal," he chirped. Once they were all settled down on the soft lawn, he opened up the basket and they sort of just nibbled at the food for a while. It was nice, to just spend some time with the girl and whatnot before the baby arrived. It was nice out too, and the scenery was pretty awesome as well ...maybe he should propose, before the baby got here. It was definitely a nice place to do it at. Even he could tell that, as bad as he was at romance.

Mari nodded lightly to the boy, a soft smile across her face as she peered into the basket... little finger sandwiches, and fruits and the like. A couple little cakes and things. But that was it, and it was perfect, very sweet. She was just happy bro spend some time with him for a little while. "It looks good," she chirped happy to the man before grabbing a little sandwich with a grin. "Thank you," she murmured after a few moments. "For... everything. I feel like I haven't thanked you enough for everything," she murmured softly to the boy. "You've been so good... and I forget how lucky I am to have you sometimes," she admitted with a bit of a chuckle.

Sage chuckled lightly. "You don't have to thank me. I certainly haven't thanked you for nearly as much as you've done for me either," he admitted softly. "You put up with a lot from me," he half chuckled. "But thank you for letting me know," he hummed after a moment, resting his head on her shoulder lightly. "I know I'm not the big brave knight or anything....but you love me all the same, even when I'm having a bad day or threatening to kill someone." He chuckled lightly at himself, figuring this would be the most romantic conversation he'd get for a while. So, he lifted his head and turned to face the girl, a grin resting on his face lightly. "And I love you too, more than anything or anyone, and...well...I wasn't planning on doing this without knowing what all I was going to say when I asked but.." he shifted slightly so he was on one knee and held up the ring so the girl could see it. "I want to spend the rest of my life with you," he murmured softly. "So...will you marry me, Mari?" He shrugged slightly. "I know this probably isn't what you imagined, but at least think about it," he added on, a bit quieter, suddenly terrified she'd think he was slacking, not getting a ring with a gem on it, or not having come up with something to say before he proposed.

Mari moved to press a light kiss to the top of his head when he rested it on her shoulder. She couldn't help the lump that formed in her throat as he spoke... she didn't think she did nearly enough to help him. If she could do more for him, she would, but nothing felt like it'd ever be enough. And it wasn't because he made her feel that way... it was because she loved him so much, and she didn't truely believe she'd be everything he needed, or wanted for that matter. But right now, he was telling her she was doing enough... even now, when she couldn't do much for him at all. And, like he said, he wasn't a big brave knight. But she didn't need him to be one... she just wanted Sage to be, well, Sage. She didn't think she could love him anymore than she did right then. When the boy shifted to his knees, she cocked her head for a few moments, before realising what was going on... a smile spread across her cheeks, pretty much instantly and only got bigger at his last comment. "Yes!" She chirped pretty much straight away. "Yes, yes, I will marry you!" The girl was clearly thrilled, and if she could she probably would have dived at him, or squealed or bounced about or something. But right now, all she could do was grin and nod her head. "I'd never need to think about it," she mused with an excitable giggle after a few moments, reaching forward to grab the end of his shirt, and gently tugged him back to her level to press a light kiss to his lips, her grin still very much there. She wouldn't have cared if there wasn't a ring at all, or if it'd just popped up in a conversation about the weather, she'd always say yes to that question, as long as it was coming from him.
