Name: Brayden Andreason Age: 24 Gender: Male Species: Human Reputation/Social status: Semi Existent Relationship status: Single Physical Appearance: Brayden's hair is not very long, but is surprisingly very soft. It's very naturally dull, so he uses conditioner to make the reddish-brown color shine. His eyes are a sort of dull green as well. His body is semi muscular, and he stands at 5'11 Attitude: Brayden isn't very book smart, but he's definitely street smart. He knows how to mess with people's minds, get out of awkward situations, and lots more he doesn't bother telling people. He's rather quiet, and doesn't talk too much. When her shift was over Carmen took a bit of time to say good bye to everyone, she wanted to get home as fast as possible but didn't want to be rude to her coworkers, they were always polite so she would return it "Alright everyone, today was good, I'll see you all tomorrow" she said in general as she got up from her desk wand walked around saying goodbye to some of her work friends who were still there before stepping out and going to her car, climbing in and starting it up Carmen took a few seconds to clear her head so she wouldn't be stuck with a work mindset at home. She pulled out of her parking spot and onto the road, there wasn't too much traffic so it wouldn't take too long to get home As Carmen drove along she hummed along to the songs playing on the radio, wondering if Brayden was okay at home, she was a bit worried about him, glancing out the window she noticed a bakery and decided to stop. She walked out of her car and into the store wanting to get something nice for her and Brayden "uhm..doughnuts sound good, those two please" she smiled at the person at the cashier and waited for the cop liking doughnuts joke and just nodded "mhm, funny" Carmen just went with it not in the mood to waste energy on being bothered by it and left the store. Back on the road she turned the music off and just kept her focus on the road in front of her, basically undoing the route she had taken that morning to get to work, she was getting closer and after another ten minutes passed she was in her own driveway, Carmen unlocked the door and tossed the keys onto a hook next to the entrance "I'm home!" she called setting the pastries down on the counter and going to her room to change out of uniform Carmen slipped into sweatpants and a T-shirt before going back down to look for Brayden, Mercury and Casper. |

Brayden was stuck. Really stuck. “What am I supposed to do? I can't keep going like this. I need a real job, you know?” Mercury just sort of stared at him. Of course he didn't know. He probably didn't understand a word that had come out of Brayden’s mouth, but he listened anyway. Work had been shitty. Now he knew for sure he really did need to find something to do with the rest of his life. Renee was gone, she had been for a while, but he was still lost, stuck, whatever you wanted to call it. So, now he'd settled on the couch, trying to rack his brain for any sort of job he might enjoy. Boy, was hearing Carmen’s voice a relief. Don't cause her trouble, though. Keep your problems to yourself. He ran up to her, scooping her into a hug. “Oh Bean I missed you so much!” And he really did. He was going to keep his mouth shut about how helpless he felt, but Carmen could make him feel better. Even if she didn't know he was upset. “How was work?” He asked, kissing her forehead softly. |

Carmen laughed at the sudden appearance of Brayden and tossed her arms around him "I can see that" she smiled returning the kiss "Work was okay, bit boring though, today was nothing but paper work, I had to sneak off for a little walk so I wouldn't fall asleep at my desk" she chuckled "did you hold up without me? Didn't burn anything down did you?" she asked raising an eyebrow and looking around dramatically, narrowing her eyes. Scanning the walls and floors for burn marks "hmm..seems clear" she nodded her approval and took Brayden's hands leading him to the kitchen "I got us something sweet, thought it might be nice" Carmen explained handing over the small rectangular box and lifting Casper into her arms to ruffle his ears, looking around Carmen smiled "did you clean up?" she asked relieved she didn't have to do that now as well "thank you Tree Top" she said hugging him again and kissing his cheek "more time for us to relax" Carmen grabbed her own doughnut and took a bite, humming happily as she let Casper go and leaned against the counter, this was nice, just coming home to everything she loved. Sure there was a lot to discuss and she had quite a bit on her mind, but leaving things at peace seemed the best option, especially because Brayden seemed happy There was no reason to worry anyone right now, serious topics could wait for later, all Carmen wanted at the moment was to forget about reality for a bit. |

“Aw, Beanie...Paperwork sounds boring.” 'What did you do today?’ He thought for a minute. He hadn't really remembered much of the day when she'd asked. “Uhhh...not a lot..now that I think about it, almost nothing..” Although he probably would've if Ren hadn't stopped by. “Luckily, I managed.” Brayden tilted his head, picking up the box of donuts and peering inside, “Thank you Bean,” He smiled, taking one and setting the box back down. “I uhh...Yes, yes I did.” He said between mouthfuls of donut. Brayden didn't mind the silence of the two of them just being with each other. It was nice. He considered himself pretty damn lucky to have ended up with someone like her. She could've done better though.. Finishing his food, he forced the thought to the back of his mind. It's thinking like that that gets you into trouble with yourself. That's all it was, really. Thoughts. His own, personal mindset. The only reason he thought he was useless was because he kept telling himself that. He took a deep breath, glancing back at Carmen, “You want something to drink?” He asked, heading for the fridge and grabbing himself a soda. |
