Welcome to Thysalen-WIP
Ashaetha (Kingdom) Geography Ashaetha is a kingdom of the forest, there territory is made of trees, both large, medium, and small trees. It is mainly a flat land, however there are some hills and mountains around. They have no lakes or ponds, however many rivers and streams course throughout the territory providing Ashaetha with plenty of water. The home of the royal family of Ashaetha sits on the edge of the continent at the base of the mountains. Ashaetha sits just north of Khapan along the edge of the continent where a massive long stretch of mountains run along the edge of the continent border of both Ashaetha and Khapan. In the middle of Ashaetha, about ten miles from the castle, is a special meadow called Liekos' Lea which can be translated to Wolves' Meadow. It is a peaceful large clearing that has plenty of grass and flowers, while in the very middle is a massive oak tree that is said to have special powers. It is said that to gain benefit from the special oak tree you must drink from the small pool at the base of the tree. It is called the wolves meadow because all kinds of wolves can be found there, lounging and relaxing, a place of peace between typically warring wolf packs. The weather in Ashaetha is usually pretty content. Summertime is warm and sunny with some wind during the day, and during the night is still pretty warm, rain doesn't fall too much. Fall is cooler and has more clouds and rains more then summer. Winter is cold and has many clouds, all the trees are dead, most of the water is frozen, and it rains a lot. Spring is somewhere between warm and cold as it often changes, and the rain percentage slows down and trees are blooming and water sources are thawing. People Woodland elves live in Ashaetha, and they are typically wind elemental elves. Though they have earth elements there as well. They are typically dark skinned and dark haired, though lighter then dark elves. They have vibrant eye colors. They speak Ayietese as well as the Common Language, Zednic. Animals They have a lot of kinds of wolves, and woodland prey. Like rabbits, squirrels, deers, bears, eagles, birds, butterflies, badgers, etc. There are also wood dragons, which are much smaller then the other species of dragons, as they can fit under the trees of Ashaetha, well the big trees at least. The medium ones are harder for them to fit under, and the small trees are impossible for them to fit under. Civilization Ashaetha is one of the oldest kingdoms of Thysalen, and no one is actually one hundred percent sure of how the kingdom was created. It is assumed that at the beginning, elves came across the land and decided to settle down. And overtime, the land expanded and became known as Ashaetha, and the elves began to build and learn magic and became known as the main kingdom of the wind element. Like most of Thysalen, Ashaetha believes in Qokmar. They often have festivals on the assumed birthday of the gods and each festival is named after the god. Like the Festival of Soul Huntress. They typically eat certain kinds of foods that sort of associate with each god during the festival and they dress up and dance and sing. They play games and just basically worship the god on that day. Technology, Magic & Weapons Ashaetha is a wind based kingdom, however there are a few water and earth elemental elves around, but you are more likely to find wind around. Ashaetha doesn't have too much technology, about the only technology that they have is what controls the gates of the castle. The typical weapon of Ashaetha is axes, that are used both in battle and to cut down trees for wood. Though some elves have swords, most of Ashaetha elves find themselves much better and more confident with an axe in their hand. Economy They typically trade the natural resources found/harvested from the woods. You will often find wood based things. Like shields, carvings, toys, etc. They also have honey and maple which they get from the trees and bees on the trees. They use mainly horses for transportation but also use dragons and for business, Ashaetha is known for their shield making and wood-carving making. They make many things from wood, houses, decoration, carvings, etc. Politics For Ashaetha you have the royal family, Waesnorin, led by King Kailu Waesnorin and Queen Aila Waesnorin and helped by their children, the Prince and Princesses. However the King's word is law, and he has the final say. As for the laws, it is not allowed to steal. Obviously do not murder, start fights, or try to harm someone without good reason. They have a prison(dungeons) which is overseen by one of the royal children(Handpicked by the King). There are also dragon tamers, who tame dragons to fight for the kingdom and/or are used for transportation. Dragons are typically only for the lieutenant’s, generals(Second in commands), captains, and royal family.
Khapan (Kingdom) Geography Khapan is a desert based place where the fire elemental elves fit in best where their fire doesn't really burn anything. Thankfully there are a few good pools of water around that provides the castle and it's villages plenty of water usually year around. The castle of the royal family sits in the middle of the desert with walls that are built high so they can see long ways both ways and the castle is decently hard to ambush. Khapan sits just south of Ashaetha along the edge of the continent where a massive long stretch of mountains run along the edge of the continent border of both Khapan and Ashaetha. Draconem Sanctus is the little bit of land on the far side of Khapan where the dragons of the desert often gather and live, it has a large pool of water and a bunch of massive trees that the dragons nest under. The typical weather in Khapan is dry and somewhat hot, however at night it is cold and dry. After a rain(usually happens about once every other month) pools are filled and the air becomes humid for about three days. Rare gems/stones can also be found deep under the ground of Khapan, which is why there are many mines underneath the surface of Khapan. All four seasons typically stay about the same, obviously it's warmer in summer and spring and colder in fall and winter. Things begin to die in fall, completely die in winter and everything freezes. Things begin to grow back and thaw in spring, and fully grow back and thaw in summer. People The typical elf kind in Khapan are dark elves and fire elemental elves. They are typical dark skinned with dark hair. Or dark skinned with red-like hair or eyes. They speak Klamgesh as well as the Common Language also known as Zednic. Animals Desert and fire dragons are typically found in Khapan in the area nicknamed Draconem Sanctus. Phoenixes are also found in Khapan, just found anywhere around the desert but typically found in trees. There are many desert animals that are used as prey for both the elves and other creatures of the desert. The prey includes desert rabbit, reptiles, amphibians, and much more. Civilization Khapan was formed by a group of nomad elves that had been wandering the world, once settled down they began to hone their magic to the point of fire manipulation which they passed down through generations and eventually they began to have a ruler. The first King and Queen of Khapan were called Ayduin Agarvran and Ithronel Agarvran(Nee Erjeon). Like most of Thysalen, Khapan believes in Qokmar. They often have festivals on the assumed birthday of the gods and each festival is named after the god. Like the Festival of Soul Huntress. They typically eat certain kinds of foods that sort of associate with each god during the festival and they dress up and dance and sing. They play games and just basically worship the god on that day. Technology, Magic & Weapons Khapan is a fire based kingdom, just because of the fact that it is a desert and there isn't much to accidentally catch on fire and set a big fire. However there are a few wind, water, and earth elemental elves around, but you are more likely to find fire around. Khapan doesn't have too much technology, about the only technology that they have is what controls the gates of the castle. The typical weapon of Khapan is swords, long swords that are double-bladed and often dark in color. The weapons are usually given names that have a dark meaning behind them like tragedy or death. Economy They typically trade the pelts of the desert animals that they hunt. Making the pelts into coats, or other clothes. They also sell meat and sometimes dragon body parts when they find the body of a dead dragon. So finding dragon teeth and claws can be very typical in the trade market. They use mainly horses for transportation but sometimes use dragons and for business, Khapan is known for their clothes making and weapon making from the gems and stones they find(More known for weapon making). Politics For Khapan you have the royal family, Agarvran, led by the King and Queen and helped by their children, the Princes and Princesses. While the King and Queen have the final say, they have a High Council led by the eldest royal child and four other elves that are elected by the people of Khapan. As for the laws, it is not allowed to steal. Market cannot open until the sun is fully up.

Some scholars have suggested the All-Mother, a goddess of great power and knowledge who is attributed with the creation of life.

WIP Personal Information Full Name: Sorin Aramis Katz (AKA Rin, Satz, Soka) -- Sorin = Sun, Aramis = Ambitious, Katz = Priest of justice Place of Birth: Ashaetha, village close to capital Age: 1125 yrs Gender: Male Species/Race: Elf Religion: Unsure of his religion, although his people do not cut hair as a symbol of loyalty and connection to one's self if that counts Sexual Orientation: Pansexual Military Rank: Lieutenant <----> Appearance Height: 6'2" General: Sorin is tall to some, but is on the shorter side of average for his people. He is relatively well built with muscle from training and war, however he still keeps that lithe slenderness and grace of all elves. He has the normal fair skin, vibrant green eyes, and a grin to melt anyone's heart. His hair, a deep black, is long and reaches roughly his lower back. His go-to hairstyle is a simple braid, effective and stylish. However his looks aren't all perfect. Across his left eye is a large scar which starts above his eyebrow, skips his eye (By pure luck) and then continues down to his cheek. He can normally be found in dark trousers, a loose buttoned shirt, and of course his cherished boots with the gold accents. Otherwise, he is of an average roughish look, not much for handsome or pompous, just Sorin. <----> Personality General: Sorin isn't one for small talk. When he gets into something, he commits. His entire personality is loyalty, and although he might seem a bit off-putting, he is just waiting for that one chance to show he can make someone happy. Sorin enjoys the small things in life and is definitely one for details. When it comes to work, he is focused and experienced with an unshakeable will to get his job done. However when not serving his people, Sorin enjoys making memories. He is always seen strolling the market or helping someone out. He enjoys hearing people laugh around him and takes it as a sign of true companionship. However there is always two sides to every coin, and Sorin had just that. He can be angered easily, and many have noted during combat that his focus drives him to become a true soldier. When in battles, Sorin is deadly efficient, and some have gone so far as to say that he is more than just blood-thirsty. This killer side of Sorin can sometimes carry over to his daily life, although nowhere near as severe, so he tries to be extra careful in situations where he could lose his temper. His ultimate fear would be control, whether losing it or having too much of it. Likes/Dislikes: Sorin is big into literature, stargazing, and music. He enjoys the smells of older books the most and can sometimes be found stretched out in some forgotten meadow to watch the sky. He dislikes the way his home is run and the way the elders have painted their enemies, but what can one man do. <----> Relationships Mother: Valeraine Amoret Katz. -- Soren is the apple of her eye and her greatest accomplishment in the world. Although her health is declining, she doesn't let that stop her. Father: General (Retired) Albrecht Katz -- Like almost ever father-son relationship. A bit tense due to different values/morals. Wasn't around as much so left most of Sorin's care to Valeraine. Sisters: Saika, Valora, and Ayeza Katz -- Sorin is very close to his sisters and has that brotherly protection mode at all times. The twins (Saika and Ayeza) are the youngest of the children and as such get away with almost everything. Valora is a kind and gentle soul that Sorin admires, and she takes after their mother. <----> Miscellaneous Talents/Special Skills: Obviously combat, however his true skills like in archery and various stringed musical instruments Weapons: A longbow made of red wood with silvered accents and the set to match, a double-bladed sword (Hilt is of the same worn red wood with silver accents as well), a regular sword Strengths: Obviously his focus and diligence, but also his ability to empathize with others Weaknesses: Some could say his family, more his little sisters than anything. Languages: Ayietese and Zednic, some moderate Klamgesh <----> Pets Name: Vedeir (Vuh-deer) Age: 3,000 yrs Gender: Male Appearance: Vedeir had wide, amber-colored eyes that are set menacingly in the large, angular skull. A crown of horns, used mostly to protect his rider from arrows, line the back of his head and jaw and his spine is lined with fan-like growths for better aerodynamicy. A muscular, average neck connects to a large chest and body. His legs are roughly the size of a small tree, and he stands roughly 3 stories tall. Although not explicitly large, he is bred to handle war, both agile/slight for flight and strong/large to carry large equipment. His scales are stone-like and rock hard, but resemble the varying greens of the foliage in the area for better cover. His wings are colossal and cover a majority of his body when folded. The tips have claw-like bone fingers for balance or to hang on rocky/mountains areas. The inside skin of the wings are tattered and show the years of battle he has been through. Personality: Vedeir has a very domineering air about him Edited at May 1, 2022 02:21 PM by Caaldir Equestrian

Sorin | Ashaethian Liuetenent | M: None The clouds that had darkened the sky only hours before had long lifted and some of the ground had begun to dry. The sloppy mess of what once was a worn dirt path now slowed the progression of foot soldiers. The clinking of armor could be heard even from above, where various shades of green circled in the endless blue, wings beating the air to stay aloft. Other than the stomping below, there wasn’t much sound which made the voice from behind all the more noticeable. The boom of the man’s voice rang in the dark-haired elf’s ears as it barked orders before being replaced by the sound of wings drawing near. Taren, a fellow commander, pulled the small beast he rode to a hard stop, its wings struggling to keep them both in the air, “Sorin, what are you doing? You should be at the front of the pack, beside the general. You earned it, you know.” “Right, my apologies. The new recruits seemed to be struggling so I had planned to just check-in. Thank you for reminding me, Taren.” With a thankful goodbye nod, Sorin tugs his dragon around, nudging the scaled side onwards. Sorin’s mind raced, although no thought truly lingered long. It preoccupied him, at least. At some point, he had dropped the long strip of leather, similar to reins, that led to his dragon’s head. The bridle itself was elegantly crafted, the now-worn leather having just a hint of shine but still strong. The whole piece consisted of a ringed bit, the inside bar lined with small spikes, that connected to the two leather strips, one for what Sorin held and the other that looped behind the dragon’s horned crown to hold it in place. The saddle was light, flat and simple like that used on the racehorses of the royal family, but with some added bags for weapons and other various necessary survival equipment. Shaking himself from his thoughts, he glances down at rows of men, so many marching to their deaths. Some glanced up, although birefly, at the sight of the colossal shadow that glided over them, and Sorin made a note to remember their faces. The others seemed to watch, in awe, at the figure above them. Commander, killer, the conquerer of wars. All were names familiar to him, and he had heard more in passing, but it had never bothered him until now. This was the turning point, this could make or break their efforts, and those he shadowed knew it as well. Even from above, Sorin could see the recognition in their eyes and how some lost that spark in their eyes as he passed, as they made their prayers to the All Mother for a safe return home, and to the Huntress for a valiant and quick death. His brows set in determination and he leans forward once more, urging his mount faster to the growing blot of blood-red sand. “Onwards Vedeir,” he calls out, “And let’s make this memorable.” Edited at May 1, 2022 08:15 PM by Caaldir Equestrian

Ruina|Khapanian Captain & Princess|M: Castien, Zaos
"Captain. We're approaching the border." Ruina nods at her second in command,"Thank you Castien. How are our soldiers?" Ruina and her second in command, Castien were in the air on the backs of fire dragons. The other generals and lieutenants were spread out in a wing formation in the air on their own dragons. While below the soldiers rode forward on battle-bred horses. The Khapan army command consisted of nine elves. Ruina was the Captain, Castien was the First Lieutenant, Zaos was the Second Lieutenant. Then the generals in descending rank were: Nindrol, Arilemna, Tiriana, Elas, Rychell, and Syndra.
Castien replies,"They're ready for battle." Ruina nods as she reaches down to mutter something to her dragon, a large muscled male black dragon named Iamuss. The dragon speeds up as does the generals and lieutenants behind her. Ruina raises her voice, the wind carrying it down to the soldiers. "We'll pick up the pace. The border is in sight." Castien murmurs,"Will this just be a skirmish?" Ruina shrugs,"We'll see." The soldiers had brought equipment to set up camp, so if it turned into a battle they would be able to retreat and rest if needed.
As the border came in sight, revealing the forestry territory of Ashaetha, Ruina reaches back and snags her dragon-shaped helmet. She pulls it on snugly, and makes sure her sword and bow were ready. Zaos flies closer,"I think I see the enemies." Ruina's gaze flickers out, focusing on the distance. Sure enough, the princess could see small specks which were growing closer with every mile. Below the soldiers were muttering their prayers to the Gods. Ruina's gaze shifts sideways to Castien,"Let's make a fire, shall we?" Castien grins as he pulls his own helmet on,"Let's."
Ruina calls down,"Pick up the pace!" At the same time the horses below broke into a canter while the dragons above sped up. All nine dragons were close in color, though it really wouldn't have mattered. As like the horses below, the dragons were fitted in black armor with the emblem of Khapan on it. Even the reins were fancy with the emblem on it. All of the armor had been custom made, and it had served it's purpose well so far. Ruina's was a bit different. Iamuss' had the royal family's emblem on it's shoulder, signaling her higher rank.
Soon the border was no more then ten miles away and the soldiers were in full war mode. Swords were drawn, and bows were knocked. Horses were pounding forward throwing up blood-red sand, while the air above was buffeted by the dragons large wings. Ruina snags her bow, fitting an arrow to it as she prepares to take aim. The generals and lieutenants do the same, all nine bows prepared to fire into the enemy lines. Ruina had trained for battle her whole life, despite many elves' protest and now she had proven her worth time and time again. The young captain raises her voice so her soldiers could hear her,"For Khapan." The army below yells a war cry back.

It took him a few minutes, but at some point, the booming roar of his mount alerted the others on the ridge of their arrival. The elders didn’t bother to acknowledge his presence, just continued to look over the ridge and maps before them. With a heavy thud, his mount lands in the grassy clearing behind them, bowing for Sorin to dismount. The elf pats the beast, muttering a thank you before striding over to the others. Helmet now in one hand, his other rises to his forehead in a solute. The gesture was normally used to signify respect to others, although every one of them, including Sorin himself, knew it was unnecessary. A taller elf with silvery hair that stretched in a braid almost to the ground, nods finally, “We have word that the enemy is close, if not already within a fighting distance. Ready your men, prepare to fight. Sorin’s ears twitched at his words, eyes scanning over the ground as he thinks. Only a moment later can the cry of Khapan be heard, although quiet. It was drowned by the sight before him: hundreds if not thousands marched on horseback over the final dune between Khapan and Asheatha. He salutes once more, hurrying back to his dragon. With a quick vault, the two are launched into the air with a forceful push of Vedeir's wings. His mount banks, nearly throwing Sorin from his back, but the elf rights himself, pulling Vedeir down to the men below with a cry of his own. "Soldiers! The enemy is just over the dune, waiting for your blades. Let's make this a quick win shall we?" Cheers erupt from below and swords are pointed in the air as the herd of soldiers surges forward. Sorin gestures to Taren and the other commanders before once more turning sharply, this time towards the enemy. Vedeir swoops down, not only scattering some of the enemies but also giving Sorin a clear way to the ground. He takes the chance, throwing himself from the back of his dragon with a scream, and hits the ground rolling, body moving instinctively to right himself and plunge into the fray. Occasionally his hand would stretch out, gusts of wind carrying his message and orders along the field. As the fight grew, so too did Sorin’s thirst for war. Left, right, duck, block… His actions play in his head before they happen. His eyes darken and his focus is entirely on the approaching army before him, one man against thousands. His grin turns cold, malicious almost, and he steps into the challenging stance of most Ashaethan fighters. Low to the ground, feet spread just enough for balance, sword angled in preparation for almost any move. Teeth bared, he faces down the hoard. However, he is stopped short by the large black dragon hovering above him. The rider was covered in the same dark armor as their mount, the only color being a vibrant red insignia that Sorin couldn’t quite make out. As he watches the figure, a burst of fire from the other side has him spinning and running in the other direction. Sorin loved to fight but he wasn’t dumb. The elf sends a shrill whistle to Vedeir and grabs a hanging strip of leather as the emerald beast glides past. Sorin scurries onto his mount’s back with a huff, eyes finding the dark figure once more. Khapan warriors were intimidating, that he would admit, but the rider before him was something different and he didn’t recognize them from previous skirmishes. As Sorin pulls Vedeir to a stop, his mind is occupied with nothing but this new contender and the air of power that exuded from them was clear. As Vedeir roars out in pain and the pair fall from the sky, Sorin’s thoughts focus on one thing: The war is just beginning. Edited at May 3, 2022 04:23 PM by Caaldir Equestrian

The elven warriors battle cry did not echo back to them, but simply faded out as it continued on. Ruina narrows her eyes as the first of the enemies appear, a dragon swooping in causing a few of the horses to balk and giving the rider a perfect opportunity to leap down. Already the enemies were colliding with her own forces. Ruina releases arrow after arrow into the crowd as Issamus flies around, avoiding any attacks but also staying steady. The captain noted that all of the other command had already joined the fight. And she slings her bow over her shoulder,"Dive."
Isamuss dives towards a somewhat open space, and Ruina leaps off once close enough to the ground. Wind buffets her ears as Isamuss boosts himself upward again. Thwack. Her helmet protects her from the blow as she rolls out the way, kicking out with her feet and knocking the enemy down. The elf was on her feet again in no time, drawing her sword. Then she was on the move, her wicked blade cutting through enemies as she moves. Moving almost like a dancer as she fights. Block, jab, attack. Again and again. Soon she was in a rhythm and was cutting down elves as she went.
Until one enemy caught her by surprise and sunk his sword into her shoulder. Ruina hisses as she lashes out, cutting the elf down, before yanking the sword out of her shoulder. "Isamuss!" She yelled out and the large black dragon swoops down, clearing the space with a massive roar. She swings up and Isamuss takes off again, an arrow hitting his armor, before deflecting back down towards the fight. Isamuss hovers above the fight for a moment as Ruina scans it. The blood pouring from her shoulder was hidden by the darkness of her armor.
Ruina raises her voice, yelling out a command to her soldiers. "Fire!" At once bursts of fire come from all directions, from elves, and from the dragons above. Much of the enemy got scorched, however some of the fire came back towards the Khapan elves, having been blown back by the winds of the Ashaetha elves. Ruina frowns as her eyes land on a elf, who ducks away from a certain bit of fire that had come from the left. Even above the sound of battle, she heard the shrill whistle the elf gave. "Higher."
Iamuss' wings beat at the air as he goes higher in the air, while his rider's gaze was fixed on the elf who had whistled. Watching as he swung on board a emerald dragon. Something about the elf suggested... A higher rank. Perhaps she was looking at the leader of the Ashaetha elves below. As the emerald dragon rose, Iamuss lets out a challenging roar and Ruina shakes herself out of her thoughts. Tightening her grip on her sword as she prepares for an air fight. However the elf seemed content at just staring at her, which resulted in his dragon getting injured. The captain's gaze tracks the dragon and his rider and the emerald dragon plummet towards the ground.
Ruina's gaze drops and she sees that the area the dragon would fall to was surrounded by Khapan elves. "Dive." Iamuss tucks his wings in and dives, speeding towards the ground. His large black wings snap open right before they hit the ground, and with a mighty boom the dragon was landed. Ruina slides off the dragon's back, her ocean blue eyes narrowing, becoming slits through her dragon helmet. With Narcoleptic held in her hand, she approaches the fallen dragon and his rider, with Iamuss as back up.
Her gaze deadly as she approaches, no doubt the dragon could chomp her up in a bite. But she avoids the teeth, and notes how the dragon had been injured. Ruina's voice was deeper then it should have been as she speaks,"Surrender."

Sorin didn’t remember falling, just the feeling of being weightless for a moment. It was almost like flying for the first time, a solid pair of wings giving him support while the earth fought to drag him down. He was safe then, the protection of what has become his closest friend keeping him aloft. When he awoke, it was clear the ground hadn’t been kind to his landing and now his right hand was hanging at an odd angle. His ankle hurt as well, though not as bad. The image of the rider flashes in his mind as he draws a dagger, this time crawling towards his dragon. The cries of his fellow soldiers, both their victories and deaths, ring throughout the plain, and he mutters every prayer that comes to mind. “Vedeir,” he calls out, voice hoarse with pain, “Vedeir, please. Let me know you're okay.” He brushes away his tears, using the saddle to pull himself into a sitting position, tucked safely underneath the now broken wing of his friend. When the dragon didn't respond, the tears fall faster. He panics, pushing on the scaled shoulder for a response. Sorin recognized this feeling, the pain it left. His heart had broken once before, and it stung similar to now. At some point, he had given up and resorted to placing a hand on Vedeir’s side, and the feeling of the gentle rise and fall of his mount's breathing distracted from the sound of footsteps approaching but gave him a sense of relief. A sigh escapes his lips, followed quickly by his labored breathing from the fighting before. His eyes rise to meet the dark rider from before and, for the first time, the elf feels true fear. Foreboding, dangerous, and wouldn’t hesitate to kill is what best described the figure before him, and the shadow of the large beast they descended on didn’t help either. Knowing he had already lost, the elf makes a last effort to protect himself but ultimately drops the dagger in the dirt and raises his hands in surrender. Vedeir lets out a growl, both in warning and pain, but Sorin shushes him with a gentle touch. “I will surrender, but on the condition you help my friend.” His eyes were pleading, almost like a last resort, as he looks up at the rider. His face was streaked where the tears had washed away the blood and dirt on his skin, and his braid had been knocked loose. Sorin hoped his sad appearance would help some, but maybe the fact that neither could go much of anywhere would as well. Once more, he pleads with the rider, his voice a whisper, “Please.”

Ruina's gaze scans the two, the dragon's wing had broken and it looked like his rider hadn't fared much better. Ruina watches as the elf drags himself over to his dragon, noting the awkward angle of the elf's hand. Broken, no doubt. A pang of remorse pierced Ruina, however she says nothing, keeping still and tall. Around them the battle was growing quiet, and as Ruina lifts her gaze briefly to calculate how it had gone. It was clear that her side had won. Making this no more then a small skirmish. Ruina quickly drops her gaze back down to the injured elf and his dragon.
"Captain." Came the greeting of Castien as the lieutenant approaches. Ruina grunts,"Gather the men. We'll ride home immediately." Castien nods and heads off to carry out the orders. Ruina's gaze flickers back to the injured elf as he begins to panic, pressing at his injured dragon. Ruina's lips thin, she felt sad for the elf in a way. She could not imagine how she would feel if Imauss had been hurt. Or even worse, her Pegasus steed, Kalika. The elf raises her sword ready to fight as the elf turns on her, seemingly going to make a final effort to defend himself.
Then the elf drops his dagger and raises his hands, replying,"I will surrender, but on the condition you help my friend." Ruina's blue gaze flickers towards the dragon, examining the emerald color dragon. After a moment's hesitation she nods, agreeing. The dragon did not deserve to suffer, and the healers at home would be able to provide care for the broken wing. Ruina steps forward, kicking the dagger away before summoning Castien, gesturing at the elf. She mutters under her breath to her second in command. "Do what you can for his hand for now, he will receive better care back in the dungeons. Bind him and get him on a horse, he's our prisoner for now."
Castien nods, muttering back, both speaking their native language,"What about the dragon?" Ruina shoots a glance at the dragon,"Iamuss will carry him home, and there the dragon will be treated." Castien nods and heads over to the Ashaetha elf, speaking in Zednic,"Get up. I'll do what I can for your hand. Then you'll be put on a horse and you'll return to our dungeons." Ruina watches the two for a little, before turning and heading over to her dragon.
Iamuss leans against Ruina ever so slightly as she mutters in the dragon's ear. "Do you think you can carry the injured dragon, boy?" Iamuss shifts, letting out a soft growl. Ruina chuckles, keeping her voice low,"I know. It's a enemy. But the dragon was simply doing his job, as were you. He does not deserve to suffer like this." Iamuss doesn't respond and Ruina sighs,"Would you want to be left to suffer if it was the opposite way around and you were injured?" Iamuss chuffs, and reluctantly dips his head. Ruina reaches up to scratch her dragon on the ear,"Thank you."
Ruina turns towards Castien, who nods, having treated the elf and bound him. She glances bakc towards her army where those who had survived were waiting. Many of the horses had survived, and they had a few extras. She beckons towards one of the soldiers, who walk forward with one of the extra horses. A medium sized bay mare, Castien gestures at the horse as it approaches,"Help him up. Then we'll set off." Ruina nods, as she swings up on Iamuss back, ordering,"Move out." Dragons and elves would be back out later to gather the fallen bodies. Edited at June 22, 2022 11:15 AM by Legacy Ranch
