12:35:09 Buckeye! Destiny, Well I am not sure about the racehorse analogy you give. But yes, if you see the same sire 2 or more times in generations beyond the first 1 or 2, it is line breeding |
12:34:01 Buckeye! Her mom is. Also weakest in movement, and a little down in scope and strength, so you may have issues with movement affecting her entire Dressage rating, and maybe have some trouble with the jumping end too |
12:32:41 Buckeye! Destiny, you have time to wait and see on that filly, keep trainig her, she is only 1.
Her sire does have slight weak ess in movement and scope, so if she shows that as well, be more careful 😉 |
12:32:08 Destiny / DSH And other amazing race horses |
12:31:50 Destiny / DSH Buckeye So like how basically every TB has Secretariat and Seattle Slew multiple times |
12:31:02 Destiny / DSH Azi Yeah I'm waiting to see how she trains up |
12:31:01 Buckeye! Ven, sibling to sibling also counts as inbreeding.
Half siblings bred together gets a little more of a grey area, but I personally would still consider that inbreeding.
Linebreeding is more like, you see the same sire in the pedigree, for instance, as grandsire, but with that generation removed, it goes more to linebreeding.
That is the easiest way I can explain it in text |
12:29:57 Wixy / Azi <3 She's untrained, wait until she has her week 4 onwards to see if they even match. |
12:29:16 Destiny / DSH And she carries Prl Champagne Dun Creme and basically everything to make a foal flashy |
12:28:11 Ven In RL, I was going to cross my holland lop back to her sire for her first litter, but she was bred accidentally by my english spot |
12:27:44 Celeste 🌕 lol for real Amber. He is clinging extra right now. I think it is the weather. |
12:27:41 Destiny / DSH -HEE Click- This is the filly I'm planning on breeding to her sire because so far he has produced outstanding off spring for me |
12:27:01 Ven Oh, really? I thought inbreeding was sibling x sibling. But you definitely know better than I do |
12:25:38 Buckeye! Technically sire to daughter is inbreeding. Linebreeding is a bit different. But the main issue in game is the weak traits, if any. |
12:23:48 Destiny / DSH Ive been stalking his training lol |
12:23:33 Destiny / DSH Flare, Buckeye Okay thank you! I have to see how she trains up but her sire doesn't have any weaknesses |
12:23:14 Ven | KNN It's linebreeding and it's done often in the livestock world. FSF's point is very important |
12:22:38 Buckeye! Yes, Destiny. Just be aware that if the filly got the same weaknesses as her sire, you could risk making those weak traits even worse |

The elf gives her a pointed look, "That is easy to say when you return to a castle each night." Nevertheless, it is broken by a sloppy, although exhausted, smile. A joke for new acquaintances. He was pleased with the kindness the Khapan princess showed, the same kindness that helped her lead droves of war-bred beasts with an iron command. Warriors, he reminds himself, The Khapanian soldiers are not beasts or mongrels. They are warriors, as is their leader. He uses the wall as a crutch, eventually feeling confident enough to stand on his own. Eyes locked with Ruina's, he offers her an ancient gesture of respect. Touching a hand to his heart, then to the spot between his eyes before he tips his fingers towards her, "May the great All Mother bless you for this, and may you always know my sword is yours." A twinge in his ankle has him once more reaching for the wall. The dark haired elf would be considered nothing more than weak if his father were here, but the princess before him was not the brooding force of elf he called a father. He didn't need to fear ridicule. With a struggle, he settles on whatever cot was provided in the cell, "I apologize if Vedeir causes any issue. He, like I, was bred for this. To be fighting and flying. The poor thing isn't used to being cooped up, nor being on the losing side like this." He was rambling. Again. Did he always tend to do this? Maybe he just hadn't had the chance too. Normally Sorin was on the other end, the one listening. He shuts up, eyes dull and hands folded as he waits for the princess to speak. A command. He was waiting for a command. The elf takes in a breath, knowing there wouldn't be one. Could he handle that? Handle gaining some bit of control? His mind flashes to the way Vedeir how the pair had been left behind, and to the surprising kindness he was being shown now. Yes, he though, I can handle it.

"That is easy to say when you return to a castle each night."
Ruina agrees,"Perhaps so." She returns Sorin's smile, with one of her own. She did feel bad for Sorin. He was far from home in enemy lands. He was injured and he couldn't see his dragon. And no doubt, from what she had learned from him so far, he was bred for war. Being captured and by a female, no doubt, put a damper on his mood. Ruina keeps an eye on Sorin as he moves, using the wall as a crutch. Her eyes widen as Sorin offers her an ancient gesture of respect. A gesture no one had ever offered her before. Not even her best friends, or her siblings.
"May the great All Mother bless you for this, and may you always know my sword is yours."
Ruina smiles once again, this smile reached her eyes, bringing a sparkle to her ocean blue eyes. In return, Ruina returns the gesture. Her hand resting against her heart, then the spot between her eyes, and finally tipping her fingers to Sorin. Adding a bow to Sorin. Ruina had demanded to be in charge of the dungeons when she came of age because she had seen how some of the prisoners Khapan use to have, had been treated. They had been treated terribly when they needed to be treated better. Kinder. There was no weakness in kindness. This was an example of it. Sorin had relented and had offered a ancient gesture of respect. And no harm had come to the elf since he had entered Khapan. They had bandaged his wounds and soon food would be brought.
Ruina watches as Sorin reaches for the wall again, frowning, he needed to be off that ankle if it was too heal properly. And then the Ashaetha elf struggles to the cot, settling down. "I apologize if Vedeir causes any issue. He, like I, was bred for this. To be fighting and flying. The poor thing isn't used to being cooped up, nor being on the losing side like this." Ruina inclines her head,"I, myself, have not visited Vedeir, however my messengers bring me news of him. The dragon is resting, asleep, and his leg is healing." A small smile flickers across her face,"And when he was awake, he stayed relatively calm." She understood what Sorin meant.
Perhaps she hadn't been bred for war, but she adapted to it well. Like Iamuss, she preferred to be in the air. Fighting? Perhaps not so much, but she did see the point of it. "Unless you have anything else, I will go speak with my father see about moving you." The dungeons are filled with the sound of footsteps and a servant turns the corner, carrying a tray of food. From their best cook, Ruina gestures at it,"Until I return, eat." In the servant's other hand was water. Ruina continues,"Drink. Rest. It should not take long." She inclines her head to Sorin before turning and exiting, nodding to the servant as she goes. The servant slips the food and water through the door to Sorin.
