Mal watched the last match and knew that there was an advantage for the canidate, since the guard was worn out. Everyone knew this and his parents had also known of this fact, but the guard was strong and saved some endurance for this last fight. Once the fight was over and the last canidate had won, the king gave the guard the que to leave and watched as he did so. "Congratulations on passing this first challenge," the king now says to the canidates, "now we shall head back indoors for your second test. Testing your knowledge and logic in a small quiz." At this the king stands and holds out his hand to the queen and the two begin to lead the group inside, Malcolm following close behind the king and queen.

[Camron followed the group. He was a bit surprised he hadn't gotten out but at the same time he hadn't rushed in with little to no game idea like the first candidates. He looked at the remaining candidates around him. None seemed in any way worried, almost as if this was a completely normal situation, to be in the castle fighting for probably the best job they could get.

Camron still felt a bit anxious, the idea of the job was amazing but at the point he stood it felt like he was competing with people who could easily win, the candidate before him beat the guard with such ease.]

Malcolm made a small list in his head of who all were left and what weaknesses and strengths they had shown in the first challenge. Six of the ten candidates were left now and Mal had a feeling that there would be much less after this next challenge. They soon stopped in front of teh doors to the palace's library and the king began to explain the next challenge. "With the job of being my son's personal guard you have to know more than just fighting skills," he explained, "one at a time you will walk through these doors and into the library where my personal assistant, and the most knowledgeable person around, will test you on different topics. He will decide if you scored high enough to move on. Any questions or shall we begin?"

[Camron followed as they were lead into the library. He continued to keep his head down to stay out of sight, but he still listened to what was being said.

He began to hope he would get out on lower end afrer the fires challenge. The only thing was that he knew he needed to try to get the job, even if he didn't want it.

The next challenge seemed easier for him since he had come top of most of his classes, though, he didn't expect it to be too easy.]

"Since no questions are being asked the first canidate may go in to test," the king says and gestured towards the doors. After a moment of silence, one of the canidates walked into the library and they all waited for the results. Minutes passed and a few whispers came from the other canidates. Some of the conversations were about what questions would be asked and Mal managed to catch one about how long it would take. The doors opened after a long while of waiting and the canidate stepped out, the king's assistant behind him. "Despite his best efforts this canidate has failed," the assistant says in a stern voice, the canidate looked slightly disappointed but still proud that he had made it past the first challenge. "Shall the next canidate enter," the assistant says and steps out of the way so that the next person could walk in. -He would have made a good guard- Mal thought as the eliminated canidate bowed to him and his parents before leaving.

[Camron felt bad for the candidate leaving but he knew he couldn't afford to put much brain power into it.

As the next one walked in Camron tensed slightly. The feeling of knowing he was closer to going next causes a minor anxiety to rise. It wasn't the challenge just knowing he would be having to do the challenge soon.
He slowly walked to the edge of the group of candidates. Camron put his hands over the back of his neck as he kept his head down trying to think.]

Mal watched as the next canidate walked in and sighed quietly. This was one of the more boring challenges and took a long time to do. He leaned against the wall and glanced over at his parents. His mother shook her head some at his action and he shrugged some. There were no seats to sit at so what else was Malcolm supposed to do? He gaze landed back on the waiting group of canidates and noticed one of them move to the edge of the group. -They look nervous- he thought as he watched the canidate, -which makes since, this is a hard challenge.-

[Camron kept his head down. The candidate came out. Camron guessed they failed by how they acted. The next candidate was called in. Camron kept out of sight the best he could. With less candidates the challenge was definitely going by quicker but that also meant he would be going up sooner.

Camron glanced around and the three two candidates in the room with him. It was down to four. He began to grow curious on where this would go.]

Mal watched as the second canidate left, since they had been eliminated, and the next one went in. After a minutes of waiting the canidate came out with the assistant. "This canidate has managed to pass the quiz with enough question answered correctly to stay in," the assistant says, the canidate smiling slightly from pride. The assistant went back into the library as the passed canidate was congratulated by the waiting canidates. -Wel if one has passed then there is still hope- Malcolm thinks, nodding a congratulations to the canidate.

[Camron watched the next candidate go back. He looked up and moved his hands back to his sides. At least someone passed.

The hushed voices of the other candidates gave Cameron an uneasy feeling, he began to wonder how many would actually pass the test. It felt like being down to four was risky for him but also it meant he was one of the final people, even if it's just because he prefers to try to go last.

Camron crossed his arms just scanning the e remaining candidates.]
